About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was a teenager. From 20 year old chihuahuas, nursing day old kittens, and 80lb king German shepherds.. I’ve volunteered at a few animal shelters. Taking care of animals is a passion of mine. My work schedule is 7-4, Monday- Friday and have evenings and weekends free. Over the weekends I am available all day and evening. For week days I can visit your furry baby any time after 4! I have a big fenced in yard and have two loving and playful dogs that enjoy making friends. I have 2 cats that are incredibly friendly but also leave my dogs alone. I have crates available and my neighborhood has sidewalks that are perfect for dog walking.

About: I’ve been dog sitting and house sitting on and off my whole life but have been doing it a lot the last 4 years! I absolutely adore all kinds of dogs from puppies to my senior citizens and have no difficulty with strict schedule or with go with the flow ones as well! I will make sure to keep your baby’s safe while giving them all the attention they could ever ask for! I’m currently work a part time job. So I can do most early mornings and afternoons. I also am free most weekends to dogs walk, dog sit, or swing by if you need me. I always make sure to watch dogs closely making sure they don’t eat or smell anything hazardous. I always like to walk fences and check for holes in yards as well ask for any allergy’s a dog may have. I also like to be prepared and know your vet and there phone number in the case of an emergency. I am a detailed oriented as well as alert person so I will always make sure your dogs safety comes first.

I am so glad that I found Malia to watch my 3 little dogs when I had to be away on travel. This was my first time leaving my babies in the care of anyone other than family members and it went so well. She stayed in constant communication and sent lots of pictures each day. She went above and beyond cleaning the house - she did the laundry for the bedding she slept on and even put our dishes away for us. Our dogs were so happy and calm when we got home from our trip. I would absolutely recommend Malia and will not hesitate to book her again.

Chi-Chi is absolutely amazing! Our dog, Kiba, absolutely loved her right from the moment they met, and he was all smiles and relaxed in every photo and video we received. I think he forgot we were even gone and just enjoyed spending time with his new love, Chi-Chi! In addition to immediately winning over our pup, Chi-Chi was incredibly good at communicating with my partner and I, and we were continually impressed and grateful as it shows how much she went above and beyond in every aspect of her care for Kiba. Highly recommend Chi-Chi for anyone looking for someone fabulous who will really care for their pets!

About: I’ve cared for multi-diverse manner dogs for 15+ years. I have experience and certification in behavior therapy. So I understand motivation, reinforcement, and attending to differing array of expressed behaviors, as-well as creating behavior interventions plans to train for appropriate/desired behaviors for clients. I’m a voice actor, so my schedule is as I dictate it to be. I’ve got commitments, however I’ve got loads of freedom to attend to dogs full-time. It’s a true joy. When I render services I’d like you to consider your lovely pet on a holiday surrounded by private security. They will be safe in my fenced neighborhood, I will be present and interactive, and will bring so much fun they’ll be bouncing to come back. All my family and friends love pets and show much affection. My place will be an extension of your family — if you’ll have us.

About: I've cared for animals my entire life and currently have two cats, a snake, and a frog of my own. Beyond caring for my own pets, I have extensive experience caring for dogs of various sizes, ages, and temperaments. My experience includes overnight pet sitting, long walks, administering medications, and caring for pets with special medical needs. I've provided care for dogs with diabetes and seizure disorders, including administering medication and remaining calm and attentive during medical episodes. I'm comfortable cleaning up accidents, following detailed care instructions, and monitoring pets closely for changes in behavior or health. I've cared for dogs in a variety of environments, including homes, parks, public spaces, boats, and around other people and animals. Whether your pet is energetic and adventurous or prefers a quiet routine at home, I strive to provide safe, reliable, and loving care that keeps them comfortable and happy while you're away. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and personalities so they receive the same level of attention and care they're used to at home. I work from home and have the flexibility to set my own schedule, which allows me to provide attentive and reliable care throughout the day. Because I am not tied to a traditional office schedule, I can accommodate potty breaks, walks, feeding schedules, medication administration, and plenty of companionship. My flexible work routine makes it easy for me to adapt to your pet's specific needs, whether that means extra exercise, midday check-ins, maintaining a consistent routine, or simply providing company for pets who don't enjoy being alone. I understand that pets thrive on consistency and attention, and I make it a priority to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. Whether your pet is energetic and active or prefers a quieter day at home, I have the flexibility and availability to provide the level of care and attention they deserve. As a Director of Operations, organization, communication, and reliability are a major part of my professional life, and I bring those same qualities to pet care. I provide care exclusively in my clients' homes, where pets can remain in the environment they know and are most comfortable in. I believe maintaining a pet's normal routine is one of the best ways to reduce stress and help them feel secure while their owners are away. Before each booking, I take the time to learn your pet's schedule, habits, preferences, and any special instructions. Whether that includes walks, feeding schedules, medication, playtime, crate routines, sleeping arrangements, or simply relaxing on the couch, I strive to keep their routine as consistent as possible. Safety is always my top priority. I carefully follow all owner instructions, ensure pets are securely contained when needed, monitor their behavior and well-being, and communicate promptly if any concerns arise. I understand that trusting someone with both your pet and your home is a big decision, and I treat both with the same level of respect, responsibility, and care that I would expect for my own. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you're away—and for you to have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands.

About: I’ve taken care of puppies and all sorts of animals since I was little. I grew up around dogs due to extended family and close friends having them. I love all dogs, big, small, old or young and would love to meet more puppies and people. I have a year of experience working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility as well! I’m currently between jobs and the only thing I’m doing in my free time is theater. I’d start rehearsal at 7:00pm, so any time before that is perfect! When walking your dog, I will bring treats (if permitted of course) as well as toys. I’d likely walk them around your neighborhood and find a place to play with them for a bit to exert their energy. I do have experience with disciplining dogs as I had experience doing so at my last place of work.

Omg! Chi was the best for my team of huskies while away! She went above and beyond and kept me posted throughout the whole stay. She was able to bond with them immediately and I knew they were in the best hands with Chi! Honestly I’m so glad I found her! 200% will be rebooking for the next sitting ✨🙏🏼

She kept us consistently updated with messages which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. FAQs for House Sitting - Nassau Bay

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Nassau Bay on Rover is $51.06 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 2,398 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Nassau Bay. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Nassau Bay walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Nassau Bay maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Nassau Bay choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Nassau Bay. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
