About: I have always had great experiences with dogs of all shape and size. From puppy liters to great danes. They all enjoy a good ear rub and belly scratch. I also have a family member that runs a boutique petfood/supply store and gives us all the inside info on the best foods and snacks to feed our fur babies. Pets always get the snacks and head scratches in the morning and evening. I always make sure they get attention and exercise they need for the day. I have fenced in yard, 2 crates available, LG and Med. We have NO CATS, I only host 1 family at a time. Only 2 pups at a time, must meet mine at neutral location: city park/dog Park.

From the first interaction through Rover, Eva was timely, professional, friendly, and thorough. She was a great a communicator and very thoughtful with my doggies. I could tell I would very much appreciate how attentive and interactive she was, with my pets as well as giving me updates while I was away. She had the initiative to ask detailed questions about my pets and took notes, offered to bring treats for them and even played with them outside. Since one my dogs has incontinence issues, she even brought items to protect my furniture. Overall, I am very pleased with Eva and encourage anyone to have confidence in booking with her. I look forward to rebooking with her myself.

Ariella was absolutely fantastic with our dogs and extremely personable throughout this process. She was attentive to their individual needs and quickly built a bond with them. She was proactive in her communication sending photo and text updates daily. We came home to find our dogs and house were incredibly well cared for and the trash was even taken out to the curb. We'll be recommending her to everyone.

We LOVED having Keirstan at our house to stay with our three babies for five nights. I am one to stress over and constantly think about the well-being of my dogs when I am out of town. While I still thought of the dogs very often on my trip, I was never once worried about how they were doing and that thanks to Keirstan's constant contact and reassurance that we GREATLY appreciated. This trip was especially special to us because we got engaged on this trip and I was able to be fully present in the moment and soak it in knowing that our babies were being taken care of in the best manner. I honestly think Dan was a little disappointed to see us instead of Keirstan when we got home lol. That just goes to show you how she truly cared about our dogs and gave them all the love they deserve. We also appreciate her being patient with Daisy, as she is a tough nut to crack. Not long after Keirstan got there, Daisy was warming up to her little by little. Lastly, Duke got sick one night and she kept a close watch on him and made she he was okay and kept us posted which we greatly appreciated. I can't recommend her enough! Thank you, Keirstan!!

About: What makes me different is the care and experience I bring to pups at every stage of life. I’ve helped care for newborn puppies and their mom, making sure the little ones were safe, loved, and thriving. I’m comfortable giving oral medications to both big and small dogs, and I have training in caring for seniors who need a little extra patience and attention. Whether it’s a wiggly puppy or a sweet older pup, I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. Pet care is something I truly enjoy working into my week. Right now, I’m in pharmacy tech clinicals during the day, but my afternoons and weekends are completely open for caring for pets. That means I can give plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and snuggles after my classes, and I’m available all day on weekends for longer stays or extra love. In my home, dogs are treated like family. My own pups (three small dogs and one big dog) are free roam, and I keep the environment safe, cozy, and supervised so everyone feels comfortable. I make sure there’s plenty of playtime, cuddles, and rest, and I always pay attention to each dog’s personality and needs.

I’m currently looking for a part-time opportunity and have a very flexible schedule. I’m available any day at the moment and can give your pet plenty of attention throughout the day. About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was a teenager. From 20 year old chihuahuas, nursing day old kittens, and 80lb king German shepherds.. I’ve volunteered at a few animal shelters. Taking care of animals is a passion of mine. My work schedule is 7-4, Monday- Friday and have evenings and weekends free. Over the weekends I am available all day and evening. For week days I can visit your furry baby any time after 4! I have a big fenced in yard and have two loving and playful dogs that enjoy making friends. I have 2 cats that are incredibly friendly but also leave my dogs alone. I have crates available and my neighborhood has sidewalks that are perfect for dog walking.

Ana was fantastic! She house-sat for me for a week and took such great care of my dog and two cats. She was so patient with my 1 year old pup (who can take a little time to warm up to new people), sent great updates and photos, and even tidied up and swept while I was gone. She’s super easy to communicate with, laid-back, and genuinely caring. I felt completely at ease while I was away and would absolutely book her again.

FAQs for House Sitting - Friendswood

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Friendswood on Rover is $35.52 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 2,777 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Friendswood. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Friendswood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Friendswood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Friendswood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Friendswood. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
