A few of the cats are very shy/timid, and they all warmed up to Meghan very quickly and were very comfortable with her. She was very respectful of my house as well and made sure to clean up prior to my arriving home. Meghan will definitely be first on my mind next time I need a pet sitter.”

I strongly believe that pets are family, and I love having their company in whatever room I am in. At your home, I would follow whatever rules and boundaries you have already established. I know that when it comes to our furry friends, consistency is key, so I would take my cues from you. If they're not allowed on the bed, I won't let them on the bed. If they have to watch Real Housewives of Beverly Hills at precisely 9:07 every night in order to sleep, then I'll make popcorn (For me only of course). Most importantly, I treat every pet like I would my own. Whether it’s playtime, quiet companionship, or one-on-one attention, your pet will get plenty of care, affection, and tail-wagging fun while you’re away. 🐾

About: I grew up around medium and small dogs all my life and worked as a pet sitter for all sorts of dogs personally during my high school years. As an adult, I have had the honor of helping to raise a large dog since he was a puppy and continue looking after my childhood dog who is now a lively senior at 17 years old. I have a very flexible and open availability, and most of my daily or weekly tasks can easily be adjusted according to pet care needs. Based on age, size, and health needs I can easily make changes to the frequency of my visits as well as set aside larger periods of time if longer stays are necessary.

About: I have loved animals since I could walk. My friends call me the animal whisperer because I have never come across a dog or cat that I could not win over. I love dogs and cats of all sizes and am not easily intimidated by them, despite my tiny stature of 5 ft. I have a very caring nature and a passion for helping. Any time I go anywhere that has a pet, I naturally gravitate and spend most of my time with them. I am extremely careful and details oriented, and when I am with your pet, they will be the center of my attention. I will treat them with the care I give my own dog. I am the proud owner of a 7-year-old Pekingese, my little man Gizmo, who is my world. There is nothing I wouldn't do for him. I have also always owned dogs and cats throughout my entire childhood and adult life and have considered them all to be like my children. All of my close personal friends have dogs and cats as well, and I frequently help take care of them when they are out of town and treat them as if they were my own. I am experienced with giving oral medication to both dogs and cats as well. I am constantly looking for ways to help animals when I see them and often feed stray cats and even opossums that are in my neighborhood. I am known to pick up stray dogs when I see them on the road and hold onto them until I can find them a safe home to go to or a rescue that will take them in. I have been an Intermediate Language Arts teacher for 14 years, so my availability is set around the school day. I am available to walk dogs or do in-home check-ins after 3:30 on weekdays, and available any time during the weekends and the summer (June and July). Caring for your pet is my top priority. When I am with your pet, they will be the center of my attention, and I will make sure they are comfortable and cared for at the level I would expect for my own dog. I will pay close attention to any details you have provided to make sure that all needs are met and will make sure I am attuned to your pet's emotional wellbeing.
