Faith is amazing! Asked good, thorough questions while booking that eased my nerves of leaving our boys for the first time. She updated us with photos throughout her care, which we greatly enjoyed. The house and fur babies were well taken care of, and she stripped the bed before leaving! Made it easy to get back to our routine after a weekend away. Would highly recommend Faith, and will rebook her myself!

About: Hi there, I'm Krystal, a genuine animal lover! I have an American Pit bull terrier about to be 8 years old and leopard gecko. I have a large yard and home with plenty of space for outdoor play, a few parks and a bayou nearby to take your fur baby out on a nice walk. I would prefer all pets to be house trained but its okay if they're pad trained. I work during the daytime and rotate care shifts with my hubs when I'm away so your fur baby will always have a set of eyes on them at all times. We are a team with pet sitting so your baby will always be in good hands! For overnight care, I'll be able to stay and care for your pet in your home as well while you're away. Any special requests can be accommodated. Do not be afraid to ask questions during a booking! Let me know when I can care for your pet! I’m always glad to help and be a care giver! I work part-time and have open availability. Dog parks visits are a favorite! Potty breaks are frequently given and walks as well unless otherwise discussed. Please keep in mind, due to extreme heat temperatures, your pet may be walked earlier/later than usual to prevent health concerns. I do offer a medium crate and separate eating/drinking tray for your fur baby! Shampoos and brushing available upon request during their stay and can be given if they do get dirty during their stay or outdoor/playtime.

This was my first time using Rover and my first time ever leaving Pete with someone I didn’t personally know, so I was definitely nervous. Emilee immediately made me feel comfortable and confident from the start. I was out of state for 5 days and she sent constant updates, which gave me so much peace of mind the entire trip. I just got back and Pete is happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience I would absolutely book with Emilee again and highly recommend her to anyone!

Such a pleasant experience. Atticus gets such bad separation anxiety and she took him on walks and helped keep him happy. He didn’t turn his back to me and pout like he normally does after trips, lol. The house was in great condition after, as well.

She’s already walked into the guest room multiple times looking for you. Lol It’s hard for me to trust her with just anyone, but you did such a wonderful job with her, that I can’t wait to book you again! A thousand thanks from me and Duchess. 🫶🏼

About: Hi! I’m Darlene. A little into my personal life: -I’m 30 years old. -SHSU Alumna 🧡💙🤍 -Vet Tech for 6 years -I have two dogs: Marley, my senior boy. He’s 16 years old and doesn’t seem to have much thoughts lol but he’s still trucking along. It’s his world, we’re just living in it. Yumi, my 6 year old girl. We like to call her the sweetest, most beautiful bby in the entire world. She’s a sweet heart and is a proud member of the lamb chop cult. Both of my dogs are adopted from shelters. 🐾💛 -My hobbies are reading, watching horror movies, playing my ninendo switch, and spending time with my husband/dogs. I look forward to meeting you and your fur-babies. 🐾 I currently work full-time as a vet tech. I usually work 4x10’s and I’m off on the weekends. I like to be as transparent as possible with you, and I do my best to try and leave for lunch and give your babies a potty break, but it’s not always a guarantee, given the nature of my job. I really try not to disrupt their routine while you’re away and I will love on them and care for them like they’re my own. Every dog/cat deserves that & I’m very big on cuddles and sending photos with updates!

Matty did a wonderful job caring for my four dogs. She was punctual, responsible, and stayed for the full amount of time we agreed upon. She communicated very well, sent plenty of photos, videos, and updates, and asked thoughtful questions whenever she needed clarification. I especially appreciated how attentive she was to each dog’s individual needs. She handled separating them responsibly, made sure everyone had access to foo/water, and was calm and patient enough that even my more sensitive dog, Missy, warmed up to her and became affectionate with her. That meant a great deal to me. My dogs clearly liked her, and I felt confident that they were safe and well cared for while I was away. She was thoughtful, reliable, efficient, and genuinely caring. I would absolutely recommend her and would be happy to have her care for my dogs again.

I'm comfortable caring for: • Puppies and kittens • Senior pets • Large and small breeds • Anxious or shy pets • High-energy dogs • Pets with medical conditions • Pets recovering from hospitalization and surgery (following veterinarian instructions) Whether we're going for a walk, playing, sticking to a medication schedule, or simply spending time together, I make sure every pet receives individualized care and plenty of love. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. My ultimate goal is to attend veterinary school, so getting exposure to helping owners is one of my biggest passions. I treat every pet like they're family while giving you peace of mind that they're in knowledgeable, caring hands. I'm available after work on weekdays and have greater flexibility on my days off for walks and drop-in visits. I make it a priority to provide reliable, attentive care that keeps pets comfortable and maintains their usual routine. When caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I carefully follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and any special care their pet may need. I'm comfortable recognizing changes in a pet's behavior or health and can provide medication administration if needed according to your veterinarian's instructions. I always prioritize your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being while respecting your home and keeping everything clean and tidy! During each visit, I'll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and enrichment based on their personality and energy level. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to build trust with both pets and their owners through reliable, compassionate care.

Erin was amazing with our anxious girl! We were leaving behind our pup with separation anxiety for the first time in 4 years, and she made the whole process stress free, for me and our dog. Faye warmed up to Erin immediately in the meet and greet, and I knew we had made a good choice! I got regular updates and pictures the entire time we were gone, Erin made sure she got her medication daily, and she got lots of snuggle time! Erin not only took great care of Faye, but our house as well. I came back after a week to the house in perfect order. As an anxious pet parent with an equally anxious pup, I don't trust my pets with very many people. But Erin has earned that trust and I would suggest her to anyone!! I will be booking again!

FAQs for House Sitting - Pasadena

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Pasadena on Rover is $41.07 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 3,400 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pasadena. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pasadena walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pasadena maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pasadena choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pasadena. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
