“This is my first time trusting someone to care for Blu. Amanda exceeded ALL of my expectations. I believe that dogs can sense souls of people that they meet, and Blu ADORED Amanda! She was so gentle and sweet with him. She was attentive to his needs and asked plenty of questions about the care she needed to provide. She sent frequent check-ins and pictures. If you want the best in care for your pup, she is your first choice! 10 stars! Thank you Amanda!”

“Tatyana was the BEST! She was so communicative and flexible. My dog was so at ease with her and she sent me lots of pictures throughout our stay. 10/10 recommend!”

“Diamond was amazing! She is kind and patient, and has wonderful positive energy, and a bright personality. Thank you for being patient with my girl, and giving her a chance to get to know you. She’s already walked into the guest room multiple times looking for you. Lol It’s hard for me to trust her with just anyone, but you did such a wonderful job with her, that I can’t wait to book you again! A thousand thanks from me and Duchess. 🫶🏼”

“Ashley did a fantastic job taking care of Ollie & Lucy. She went above and beyond! She took communicated and took many pictures of them both daily and sent those to me. My vat, Lucy usually takes a bit to warm up to anyone, and she lines Ashley right away! She not only watched them, but gave my Newfie a bath, and cleaned my house! I definitely give her 5+ Stars! I highly suggest Ashley! Your babies and home will be in good hands!”

“We had a great experience with our house sitter. From the start, communication was clear, reliable, and professional, which made it easy to feel comfortable leaving our home in his care. He took excellent care of everything—our home was just as we left it (if not better), and it was clear he paid attention to the small details. We especially appreciated the updates while we were away, which gave us real peace of mind. It’s not always easy to trust someone with your home, but he made the entire process feel effortless. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable, respectful, and thoughtful house sitter, and we would gladly have him back again.”

“Stephanie took great care of my cats while I was away. She was able to follow all instructions I left about picking up and dropping off the keys and fob, and gave me plenty of daily updates. I’d greatly recommend her services!”

About: My name is Jazz. I’m a dog owner of two, so I understand firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. Caring for my own dogs daily has given me hands-on experience with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and recognizing different behaviors and needs. I’m comfortable with dogs of different personalities and energy levels, and I know how to create a calm, safe, and structured environment. Whether your dog loves to play or prefers to relax, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I treat every dog like they’re my own and prioritize their safety, happiness, and routine. I’m also very communicative and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you always have peace of mind. I work from home so I am available all day to tend to your pests needs. I will provide frequent picture updates just in case you miss them. I have a fenced yard as well as two other dogs in the home. We take frequent walks and journey to the park together. I also will have yummy treats available if it’s ok with mom and dad
About: Hi there, I'm Krystal, a genuine animal lover! I have an American Pit bull terrier about to be 8 years old and leopard gecko. I have a large yard and home with plenty of space for outdoor play, a few parks and a bayou nearby to take your fur baby out on a nice walk. I would prefer all pets to be house trained but its okay if they're pad trained. I work during the daytime and rotate care shifts with my hubs when I'm away so your fur baby will always have a set of eyes on them at all times. We are a team with pet sitting so your baby will always be in good hands! For overnight care, I'll be able to stay and care for your pet in your home as well while you're away. Any special requests can be accommodated. Do not be afraid to ask questions during a booking! Let me know when I can care for your pet! I’m always glad to help and be a care giver! I work part-time and have open availability. Dog parks visits are a favorite! Potty breaks are frequently given and walks as well unless otherwise discussed. Please keep in mind, due to extreme heat temperatures, your pet may be walked earlier/later than usual to prevent health concerns. I do offer a medium crate and separate eating/drinking tray for your fur baby! Shampoos and brushing available upon request during their stay and can be given if they do get dirty during their stay or outdoor/playtime.
“Let is very responsive and communicative. She is a considerate dog sitter and house sitter. We appreciated the updates and photos while we were away. Our shy senior dog has to go out often and takes meds but he was well taken care of. Let is very kind and we would absolutely use her services again.”

About: I’ve spent over 7 years pet sitting, but honestly, I’ve been a pet person my whole life. Having raised multiple pets of my own, I know they aren’t just 'animals', they’re family members with their own quirks and personalities. I’m an active person who loves staying fit, so I’m always happy to take your dogs on long walks to keep them healthy and tuckered out. I am also very mindful when it comes to the details; whether it’s a strict medication schedule or a specific way their food needs to be prepared, I’ve handled it all before and take those responsibilities seriously. Beyond the basics, I have a really soft spot for pets who might be a little anxious or stressed when their humans are away. I’m naturally gentle and patient, so I’m happy to take things at their pace until they feel safe and comfortable. I also make it a point to keep your home tidy and send you plenty of photo updates so you can see exactly how much fun (or how many naps!) your best friend is having while you’re gone I currently work a flexible part-time schedule, which honestly works out perfectly for pet sitting. It gives me plenty of time to focus on your pets during the day. I’m usually wide open for boarding on the weekends and available every weekday after 2pm for walks or drop-ins. Your pet definitely won't be lacking for attention or playtime while they're with me! When I’m staying in a client’s home, I’m a big 'leave it better than I found it' kind of person. I take the trust you’re putting in me seriously, so I’m super diligent about double-checking locks, following alarm codes, and respecting your space. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine exactly the same so they don't get stressed; plus, I’ll make sure the house stays tidy and secure while you’re away.
“Elizabeth was a great stay sitter! She stayed in our home and took great care of my 3 fur babies. She sent photos and checked in regularly. I felt at ease knowing she was there. I highly recommend her!”

“Matty did a wonderful job caring for my four dogs. She was punctual, responsible, and stayed for the full amount of time we agreed upon. She communicated very well, sent plenty of photos, videos, and updates, and asked thoughtful questions whenever she needed clarification. I especially appreciated how attentive she was to each dog’s individual needs. She handled separating them responsibly, made sure everyone had access to foo/water, and was calm and patient enough that even my more sensitive dog, Missy, warmed up to her and became affectionate with her. That meant a great deal to me. My dogs clearly liked her, and I felt confident that they were safe and well cared for while I was away. She was thoughtful, reliable, efficient, and genuinely caring. I would absolutely recommend her and would be happy to have her care for my dogs again.”

“Marleigh was a blessing. I was nervous leaving my pup for the first time and she exceed expectations ensuring he was comfortable, sought after. Great communication and updates. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Galena Park
Erin was amazing with our anxious girl! We were leaving behind our pup with separation anxiety for the first time in 4 years, and she made the whole process stress free, for me and our dog. Faye warmed up to Erin immediately in the meet and greet, and I knew we had made a good choice! I got regular updates and pictures the entire time we were gone, Erin made sure she got her medication daily, and she got lots of snuggle time! Erin not only took great care of Faye, but our house as well. I came back after a week to the house in perfect order. As an anxious pet parent with an equally anxious pup, I don't trust my pets with very many people. But Erin has earned that trust and I would suggest her to anyone!! I will be booking again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Galena Park on Rover is $21.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,682 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Galena Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Galena Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Galena Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Galena Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
