“This is my first time trusting someone to care for Blu. Amanda exceeded ALL of my expectations. I believe that dogs can sense souls of people that they meet, and Blu ADORED Amanda! She was so gentle and sweet with him. She was attentive to his needs and asked plenty of questions about the care she needed to provide. She sent frequent check-ins and pictures. If you want the best in care for your pup, she is your first choice! 10 stars! Thank you Amanda!”

“I can’t recommend Ashley enough! She stayed at my house while I was in Mexico, and I felt completely at ease knowing Goose and Stoli were in such great hands. Ashley truly went above and beyond—she kept the house spotless (even cleaned without being asked!), sent lots of photo updates, and even made the girls the cutest bandannas. Goose and Stoli were clearly happy, loved, and well cared for the entire time. Coming home to spoiled babies was the best feeling. Ashley is awesome, and I would absolutely book her again.”

“Tatyana was the BEST! She was so communicative and flexible. My dog was so at ease with her and she sent me lots of pictures throughout our stay. 10/10 recommend!”

About: I've taken care of all types of animals from huge ones like horses to teeny tiny ones like parrots. I love all types of animals!! :) I am a full time college student and have a full time job so mostly just brief visits that last no longer than a few hours. I love cuddling and playing with animals, and I will make sure to attend to their every need. If there are special instructions I will make sure to carry those out to my best ability.

About: I’ve spent over 7 years pet sitting, but honestly, I’ve been a pet person my whole life. Having raised multiple pets of my own, I know they aren’t just 'animals', they’re family members with their own quirks and personalities. I’m an active person who loves staying fit, so I’m always happy to take your dogs on long walks to keep them healthy and tuckered out. I am also very mindful when it comes to the details; whether it’s a strict medication schedule or a specific way their food needs to be prepared, I’ve handled it all before and take those responsibilities seriously. Beyond the basics, I have a really soft spot for pets who might be a little anxious or stressed when their humans are away. I’m naturally gentle and patient, so I’m happy to take things at their pace until they feel safe and comfortable. I also make it a point to keep your home tidy and send you plenty of photo updates so you can see exactly how much fun (or how many naps!) your best friend is having while you’re gone I currently work a flexible part-time schedule, which honestly works out perfectly for pet sitting. It gives me plenty of time to focus on your pets during the day. I’m usually wide open for boarding on the weekends and available every weekday after 2pm for walks or drop-ins. Your pet definitely won't be lacking for attention or playtime while they're with me! When I’m staying in a client’s home, I’m a big 'leave it better than I found it' kind of person. I take the trust you’re putting in me seriously, so I’m super diligent about double-checking locks, following alarm codes, and respecting your space. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine exactly the same so they don't get stressed; plus, I’ll make sure the house stays tidy and secure while you’re away.

“Des is always there when I need her - extremely loving and professional. Onyx trusts her so much and he’s always happy with her! I never have to worry about leaving my boy in her care. She will always be my go-to. If you’re looking for a sitter for your fur baby, she is definitely the one. Thank you Des 💗”

I’m very compassionate , caring , and patient for our furry friends. I’m currently working full time. But have more than enough time to care for your pets. I will have more free time in the coming weeks to fully dedicate myself to caring for animals. I will respect your home and your animals. I will keep the same schedule you have with your pet to ensure their daily needs are met.

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs and cats since I was 12. I love animals and I’ve had big dogs, small dogs, and cats myself, i’ve also taken care of all kinds of dogs and cats for my family and neighbors. It’s currently summer for me, I just finished highschool and i’m going to start college next semester, pet sitting is perfect for my daily routine because I am basically free any time. About: 🐾❤️Dogs and family are my world. your dog will be too! I have volunteered with rescue groups, and occasionally I still foster pups until they are adopted and placed with their furever families. The love for dogs has been in my family for generations. Keeping your pet safe and well cared for is my priority. It’s important to make sure the dogs are a good fit and can be cared for properly during the stay. I had the most amazing chocolate lab- Mercedes for 12 years. My home is not the same without her. I have 2 small humans that come visit, they call me Gramma! I do work some nights 2-3 days a week, I am usually home all day and my family lives in the house in front of me. We are a team, They keep Mercedes if I go to work and occasionally help with pick up. Daily routine wake up 6-7am, go out every 2-3. we take lots of walks (on leashes if needed) swim, run loose in the gated and backyard and go for car rides occasionally. Pets are cared for according to their needs. Younger-energetic dogs have more time to run, play or swim. The older dogs can enjoy a comfortable, quite safe place. If the dogs are use to being in a crate- I can provide a crate, otherwise they just do what we do and enjoy being together My day revolves around my dogs. I set drop off and pick up times according to the pet parent’s schedule. I try to accommodate the best I can and with help from my daughter or sister who live on the property we are successful! I try to run errands or make appointments when I’m not hosting dogs so when I do have a pup I can hang out with them. Walks, Naps Netflix or Swim! Dogs are monitored at all times. We go out together and come in together. Harness and leashes as needed, especially for new dogs or until they get comfortable being here.
“Eva was really great with my sweet piranha. she id a little reactive and nervous with new people, but she immediately took to Eva. We had some communication issues in the beginning, but after some chatting, we were able to resolve everything and she was even able to extend her time with piranha at the end of the booking when my flight was canceled so her flexibility is unmatched. I will 100% book with her again!”

“Shirlette took care of my cat Topaz over the holidays. I’m so thankful she was available! She kept me updated on how my cat was doing while I was away. I’ll definitely book her again in the future!”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I have experience caring for a wide variety of pets. I currently have three cats of my own, including one that I rescued and bottle-fed from just two weeks old. Raising a kitten from such a young age taught me the importance of patience, attention to detail, and understanding the unique needs of animals at different stages of life. I grew up around both large and small dogs and am comfortable caring for pets of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have provided dog and cat sitting services for friends, family, and pet owners, including drop-in visits and overnight stays. I understand how important it is for pets to maintain their routines and feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. My experience extends beyond dogs and cats as well. I have cared for ferrets, sugar gliders, fish, and turtles, giving me confidence in following specialized care instructions and meeting the needs of a variety of animals. Whether your pet needs playtime, exercise, feeding, medication reminders, companionship, or simply a caring and dependable presence, I am committed to providing the same level of love and attention that I give my own pets I currently work a full-time schedule four days per week from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. I am off on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, which allows me to provide flexible availability for pet care during those days. On my workdays, I am typically available for morning drop-in visits before 7:00 AM and evening visits after 6:00 PM. On my days off, I have full availability for drop-in visits, extended care, overnight stays, and more flexible scheduling to best meet your pet’s needs. I am committed to working with pet owners to find a schedule that ensures consistent, reliable care and keeps pets comfortable and supported while their owners are away. I provide pet care exclusively in my clients’ homes to ensure pets remain comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routines. I believe this helps reduce stress and anxiety, especially for cats and other animals that are sensitive to change. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and respect for both the pet and the home. I follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions exactly as provided and take time to understand each pet’s specific needs, personality, and boundaries. I make sure doors, windows, and any potential escape points are secure during each visit, and I carefully monitor pets during playtime and interaction. I also keep the home tidy by cleaning litter boxes, food areas, and any pet-related messes as needed. During overnight stays or extended care, I maintain a calm and consistent presence to help pets feel safe and relaxed. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care while treating every pet and home with the same level of respect and responsibility as I would my own.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cloverleaf
Alett was an awesome pet sitter! She spent a ton of time throughout the day with our senior dog, and I was happy to receive the update pictures/videos while we were away. Alett was responsive to our messages and asked questions before the booking to make sure she would provide the correct care for our dog, it was nice to know that our dog was cared for in the comfort of our own home. Will definitely be booking her again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cloverleaf walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cloverleaf maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cloverleaf choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cloverleaf. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
