My main goal at all times is making sure any animal is as unstressed as possible. Giving pets direct attention and lots of affection so they feel safe is vital to house sitting when they are away from their owners for a period of time. I treat every pet like they were my own and really work to make it a seamless transition until their person comes back.
Information Marleigh F. would like to know about your pet
Having a written list of needs and a normal schedule for a day is most important to me. I like having something to refer too. Day to day things like wake up and feeding times for dogs Im sitting or triggers for dogs Im walking, so I know how to keep the dogs calm and as on routine as I can. Things like favorite toys, places to walk, or things to do are good to know; as well as things they hate, places they dont like to be pet, or things they wont do.
A typical day
I try to find new areas for dogs to explore. More than just getting their energy out, walks are about letting them explore and investigate. Whether its in a yard, on a balcony, or in a park I think its super important for the dog to get to hang out outside as much as possible. Im also big on affection and will pet as much or as little as is needed to really make the dog feel loved and safe. And of course making sure there is plenty of play time!

Pet care experience
I grew up in a house with tons of animals so I am used to a little chaos. I am really good at staying calm and handling all situations. Most of all though I just love getting to meet and hang out with new pets! I have been the go-to for everyone I know for years, whether they just need their dog checked on in the middle of the day or house sitting for a few weeks. I am experienced at administering medicine, handling excited pups, and I am a photographer so I send the best and cutest update photos :)
