“Loved Maria! Kept me updated the entire time. She sent me pictures and was so friendly! She took her on walks and made sure to keep her entertained through the day. My baby was well taken care of, I will definitely book again in the future. Thank you!!”

About: Me and my sister live in a house with a fenced in yard and doggy daycare space in the back. We prioritize being home as much as possible when boarding and aim for outdoors breaks every 2-3 hours. Our specialty is puppies, working dogs and dogs that could use a highly active day, but we love a good movie night and cuddles too! Currently I am a work-from-home and there is an adult present all 24 hours in the single family residence house daily. I share a house with my sister and there are no children or pets in the house. We are available to take care of your pups daily while you're at work or for short term / long term boarding ! I pride myself on creating a trusting relationship with everyone I board for. One aspect I offer is frequent pictures and messages on how the my time with pet is. I build in safety and trust by keeping you updated as much as you’d like with daily pictures and outdoors playtime every 4 hours !
“Remy did an outstanding job as a dog sitter for my poodle, Max. From the moment we met, I could tell she had a natural rapport with animals. She was incredibly gentle and attentive, making sure that Max was comfortable and well cared for throughout her time with him. I appreciated how she kept me updated with photos and messages, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. It was clear that Max was happy and well taken care of under her watch. I love the care and dedication Remy showed, and I will definitely be returning to her for future dog-sitting needs. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!”

“Stephanie did an amazing job watching my 8 week old puppy. I utilized Stephanie's services for 4 weeks consecutively because was so good my lil Lola. I loved that she communicated with fast responses whenever I would reach out to her. She is such a sweet young lady and my lil Lola truly enjoyed her time with Stephanie. Stephanie was also very flexible with our schedule.”

“Smokey enjoyed his time staying with Rhianna, her husband, and their pup at daycare this week! He was excited to go to daycare each day which made me feel good because he is usually very anxious when he is away from me or my partner. Thank you to Rhianna for providing a fun and safe place for Smokey this week! Looking forward to next time!”

“Jen and Thi take great care of George when he spends the day there! They care for George like he is their own dog and we love taking him there for doggy day care. They have a few dogs of their own, a fenced in yard, and a park nearby which makes the best day for our dog! He has so much fun and is pooped when he gets home! They are really good about sending photos throughout the day and sending YouTube videos so we can see George play throughout his stay with them.”
About: I have over 5 years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of various temperaments, including large and high-energy breeds. I’m comfortable with nail trimming, light grooming, basic puppy training, and administering medications as directed. My goal is to provide structured, attentive, and reliable care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. My schedule is very flexible, so I’m home almost all day and able to give your pup lots of attention and care. I’m available for boarding any day of the week. I occasionally run short errands during the week, but pets are never left unattended for long periods and safety is always my priority. I have a fully fenced yard and I DO NOT have any dogs of my own. The dogs I care for are welcome to roam freely indoors and enjoy supervised time outside, so they are not cooped up inside all day. The only pet in my home is a lovebird who remains securely housed and separated from guest pets.
About: My name is Jazz. I’m a dog owner of two, so I understand firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. Caring for my own dogs daily has given me hands-on experience with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and recognizing different behaviors and needs. I’m comfortable with dogs of different personalities and energy levels, and I know how to create a calm, safe, and structured environment. Whether your dog loves to play or prefers to relax, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I treat every dog like they’re my own and prioritize their safety, happiness, and routine. I’m also very communicative and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you always have peace of mind. I work from home so I am available all day to tend to your pests needs. I will provide frequent picture updates just in case you miss them. I have a fenced yard as well as two other dogs in the home. We take frequent walks and journey to the park together. I also will have yummy treats available if it’s ok with mom and dad

“Darius was a god sent. I was visiting Houston from Dallas with my husband and puppy. I stayed at a dog friendly hotel but even going for breakfast made my puppy very anxious alone in the room we decided to use over for the first time and I urgently contacted Darius. He was very prompt to respond and accommodated everything. He was very vigilant for for example I feed my dog fresh food, which I forgot to tell him, but he had already put the food in the fridge. He has a very sweet and loving puppy, and I could visibly see mylo happy. If I ever returned to Houston, Darius is my guy. Milo has never been around strangers, but he was extremely comfortable with Darius. He also sent updates every so often and was prompted to answer anything I asked. I don’t think twice.”

“Delilah was amazing, very good with our fur baby, very experienced. But most important very tolerating and understanding with our little Tornado Raadi. Followed our instructions exactly and kept us updated as needed and or requested. Would highly recommend her.”

“Kelly was very kind, accommodating, and welcoming. We felt very comfortable leaving our cavachon puppy, Ranger, with her. She had several other dogs, and she maintained awareness of Ranger's interactions with the other dogs, and sent us several pictures during his stay.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting and house sitting for over 15 years. I love animals and love being able to help others with their pets, especially knowing how hard it can be to leave your fur baby while going on a trip. With me, the owners will never have to worry about how their dog is doing. We are a house full of fun and snuggles and plenty of play time in our yard. I have grown up with pets all my life so I know how to care for all types of animals, from dogs and cats to lizards, rats, chinchillas and more! I have 2 dogs myself which have quite a history of their own and I have also fostered special needs dogs. I am home all day with your pets while they are in my care and send lots of pictures and updates to always keep you in the loop :) I hope you feel reassured in picking me to watch your fur baby and hope to hear from you!! I work from home part-time so I am home all day with my toddler and our dogs. I have a very energetic dog and a dog the literal opposite so we make lots of time all throughout the day to play outside, but also make time to relax for the more relaxed doggie. I have a fenced yard and 2 friendly dogs. If you have a crate, we are happy to use that in the same manner you do at home. I aim to keep your same routines and habits for your pets while you're away :)

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Galena Park commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
