“Hip hip hooray! 5 stars all around! That's all I can say. Stephanie came to the rescue at short notice. I was in need for Doggy daycare and she responded quickly and she was a MAJOR blessing. She is super sweet and she sent pictures at the end of each day and she takes the best pictures of your fur baby. My baby thoroughly enjoyed being in her care. I will be a repeat customer in the future. Thank you Stephanie!”

About: What sets me apart? I bring the same level of care, patience, and attentiveness to pets as I do in my career as a certified caregiver. With experience caring for both puppies and senior dogs, I know how to tailor each visit to your pet’s needs—whether that means house training support, medication reminders, gentle walks, or belly rubs on demand. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. As someone who works flexible hours in caregiving, I’ve built my schedule around helping others—including their furry family members! Whether it’s early morning walks, midday drop-ins, or evening feedings, I always make time to give pets the love and attention they deserve. I offer a clean, pet-friendly space with plenty of room to relax and play. Pets get one-on-one attention, regular walks, and tons of cuddles. I only accept a limited number of pets at a time to ensure everyone gets the attention they need. No matter the setting, your pet will be treated like family—with patience, love, and consistency. 🐾💛
“Jennifer was a great choice for daycare for our miniature schnauzer puppy! She is extremely attentive to the dogs and send lots of photos and videos so that you can see what your pet is up to. Would definitely recommend for puppy socialization; she watches several dogs on a regular basis so your dog will always have someone new to play with in a safe and well-monitored environment.”

About: My name is Jazz. I’m a dog owner of two, so I understand firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. Caring for my own dogs daily has given me hands-on experience with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and recognizing different behaviors and needs. I’m comfortable with dogs of different personalities and energy levels, and I know how to create a calm, safe, and structured environment. Whether your dog loves to play or prefers to relax, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I treat every dog like they’re my own and prioritize their safety, happiness, and routine. I’m also very communicative and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you always have peace of mind. I work from home so I am available all day to tend to your pests needs. I will provide frequent picture updates just in case you miss them. I have a fenced yard as well as two other dogs in the home. We take frequent walks and journey to the park together. I also will have yummy treats available if it’s ok with mom and dad
“Remy did an outstanding job as a dog sitter for my poodle, Max. From the moment we met, I could tell she had a natural rapport with animals. She was incredibly gentle and attentive, making sure that Max was comfortable and well cared for throughout her time with him. I appreciated how she kept me updated with photos and messages, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. It was clear that Max was happy and well taken care of under her watch. I love the care and dedication Remy showed, and I will definitely be returning to her for future dog-sitting needs. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!”

About: I've had many pets throughout my childhood so I have experience with pets at different stages of their lives from pups to seniors. Although I am not affiliated with any rescue I have assisted rescuing dogs from time to time. I have helped my mom with her disabled dog that is paralyzed from waist down. We rescued this dog from the streets when he was emaciated and he brought his health back up, so I also have experience with special needs dogs. Pets safety is a priority. I currently have one senior poodle and a one year old beagle mix pup with tons of energy. I bring my own water bottles, water bowl, poop bags and dog treats for walks. I do not provide leashes I am currently working full time 7 to 3:34 and my husband works night shift, so hes home during the day. Someone is always home and on weekends I'm always home. I have a fully fenced yard with a dog happy to play with your pup. Even if the yard is fenced your pet will not be outside without supervision.
About: I am a dog and cat lover since childhood. I currently have a Pug and an orange American Bobtail cat, Opie and Kayleigh, respectively. They are my life's joy. Over the years, I have babysat for friends' dogs. It is fun and brings me much joy to do so. I am retired, after 21 years with the City of Pasadena. I was a Deputy Court Clerk. Being home most of the time, I will be able to treat clients' furbabies like my own and provide the attention and care that they need and deserve. I have a fenced yard and a friendly Pug to keep your dog company. I can use a crate as well, if you prefer that I do so.
“Maria did an amazing job taking care of my puppy. We needed a short notice sitter and not only was she available, but he was super happy at the end of his time with her. Thank you, Maria!”

“Lily loved Adrian right away 🥰 Adrian was very easy going and cordial. His time and service gave our visit to MD Anderson some relief knowing Lily was being well taken care of.”

“Delilah was amazing, very good with our fur baby, very experienced. But most important very tolerating and understanding with our little Tornado Raadi. Followed our instructions exactly and kept us updated as needed and or requested. Would highly recommend her.”

“Brittany was amazing! She kept our fur baby happy and occupied! We were lucky to have found her with such short notice. He slept like a champ afterwards and had a great day! Highly recommend.”

“Shanieka did amazing with our boys, our pitty mix can be selective with people but she took the time to allow him to get comfortable. He ended up loving her! So glad to have found someone that treats the boys like their own☺️”

About: I have over 5 years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of various temperaments, including large and high-energy breeds. I’m comfortable with nail trimming, light grooming, basic puppy training, and administering medications as directed. My goal is to provide structured, attentive, and reliable care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. My schedule is very flexible, so I’m home almost all day and able to give your pup lots of attention and care. I’m available for boarding any day of the week. I occasionally run short errands during the week, but pets are never left unattended for long periods and safety is always my priority. I have a fully fenced yard and I DO NOT have any dogs of my own. The dogs I care for are welcome to roam freely indoors and enjoy supervised time outside, so they are not cooped up inside all day. The only pet in my home is a lovebird who remains securely housed and separated from guest pets.
“Smokey enjoyed his time staying with Rhianna, her husband, and their pup at daycare this week! He was excited to go to daycare each day which made me feel good because he is usually very anxious when he is away from me or my partner. Thank you to Rhianna for providing a fun and safe place for Smokey this week! Looking forward to next time!”

About: I have a deep-rooted passion for pets, coupled with a wealth of experience that spans every stage of a pet's life. Having raised family pets from energetic puppies to beloved seniors, I've navigated the joys and challenges of pet care that comes with each unique phase. My firsthand experience includes not only the traditional responsibilities of pet sitting but also specialized skills such as training puppies. I understand the importance of a strong foundation in obedience and socialization, and I take pride in using positive reinforcement techniques to help young pups thrive and develop good habits. In addition, my background includes compassionate senior pet care, where I’ve learned to recognize the specific needs of older animals. This experience has honed my ability to provide comfort, administer medication, and manage health issues, ensuring a dignified and loving environment for seniors in their twilight years. Having been through the heart-wrenching process of saying goodbye to pets that crossed over the rainbow bridge, I approach pet care with sensitivity and tenderness—I treat every furry friend as if they were my own, nurturing them not just physically but emotionally. With my unique blend of training expertise, hands-on experience, and deep compassion, I strive to offer a pet sitting service that truly feels like home! 🏡 Working from home has given me the wonderful opportunity to provide your pets with the love, attention, and care they deserve. Rest assured, your beloved companion will receive all the love and attention they deserve in a warm, nurturing environment! I’m in a home with a large, fenced in yard. I have 2 dogs, a Great Dane/Catahoula Leopard mix named Alfie (M), who is 4, and a French Bulldog named Journey (F), who is 1 1/2! Both dogs are friendly & very playful! Alfie and Journey usually go between stays at my home and my parents home that is right next door to me. I can ensure your pet will be in a safe and very clean home that is equipped to handle everything from A-Z! If you have any special requests and specific instructions you need me to follow, I am more than happy to accommodate you and your beloved pet! I will have crates that can fit small and medium sized dogs, a variety of durable toys, and extra bedding and blankets. Please also feel free to bring anything at drop-off for your pet that will best suit them while they’re under my care - this can include their crate, bed, blanket, toys, or their favorite treat! If you request to have me board your pet in your home, I will ensure I leave your space in pristine condition and follow any guidance you may have to ensure I exceed your expectations!
“Darius was a god sent. I was visiting Houston from Dallas with my husband and puppy. I stayed at a dog friendly hotel but even going for breakfast made my puppy very anxious alone in the room we decided to use over for the first time and I urgently contacted Darius. He was very prompt to respond and accommodated everything. He was very vigilant for for example I feed my dog fresh food, which I forgot to tell him, but he had already put the food in the fridge. He has a very sweet and loving puppy, and I could visibly see mylo happy. If I ever returned to Houston, Darius is my guy. Milo has never been around strangers, but he was extremely comfortable with Darius. He also sent updates every so often and was prompted to answer anything I asked. I don’t think twice.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
