“Mariah and her pups were fantastic. While I was nervous at first she put me at ease by sending updates with pictures throughout the day. When I picked him up he was very happy and I could tell he was loved. We will be goi g back for sure.”

“Katie was awesome! She posted pictures and kept me updated. Her dog was sweet to Wrigley and she had a playmate for the day. I felt way more comfortable knowing my pup was somewhere they were looked after and cared for on a long work day!”

About: Hi there! My name is Amy — I’m a wife, mother, and lifelong lover of all animals. Our home is full of love, laughter, and little helping hands! My children (ages 0 to 14) absolutely adore animals and always enjoy having a furry friend to play or cuddle with. We provide a safe, fun, and loving environment where your pets will feel like part of the family. Whether it’s playtime in the yard, cozy snuggles on the couch, or simply a calm space to relax, we make sure every pet feels comfortable and cared for. Your pet’s happiness and well-being are our top priorities — we treat every animal as if they were our own! I stay at home and I’m very flexible in drop off and pick up times! If there’s something that we need to accommodate, we would love to accommodate you! Our whole family assist in helping run our little doggy camp! Each pet that comes into our home will be loved on and taking great care of!! I have a fenced in back yard with doggie toys and plenty of water stations too! We have doggie beds all throughout the home to make your dogs stay comfortable! If your pet isn’t friendly with other animals or kids, I have a separate area where they can stay to feel more comfortable and safe!
About: I have been an animal lover my entire life and a pet owner for 20+ years! Most of my family are Rover caretakers and now I will be venturing off on my own. I offer an inviting and safe home where your pet will be treated like family. I take pride in being the best doggie grandma to my daughters mini Aussie. I am fortune to share my love for animals with my daughter who is currently studying animal science. Between the two of us we divide and conquer and make sure that someone is always available to give your pup the love, care and attention they will need! I have a secured fenced in yard. Plenty of space for outside play and space for our sunbathe lovers. We have an abundance of toys to keep your pup busy and happy!
“Ashley did a fantastic job taking care of our dogs while in her care. We received a complete update of their activities as well as photos. I would definitely recommend her and utilize her again.”

I am a substitute teacher and student at UHCL. I have a flexible schedule. I also have a dog door for the dogs to come in and out as needed. I feed and give my dog water. “Our dog had a great day with Susan and the other dogs she was taking care of when ours was there. Lots of pictures of playtime/naptime. Very convenient location near the NASA Center. Thank you.”

“Tiffany is awesome! We are repeat customers and would recommend Tiffany to anyone! She is very responsive and sends pics of your pets throughout their stay. We know she gives our 2 dogs (Weimaraner & Golden) lots of love and attention putting our minds at ease when we have to be away.”
“They were so friendly when we arrived and introduced us to all of the dogs in their house while we allowed our dog to sniff around and get comfortable in the house. We loved the pictures they sent us, because our dog looked like she was having so much fun! When it was time to take her home, they were again so friendly, but our dog didn't want to leave, which I think speaks volumes! Both our dog and us had a 5-star experience.”

About: I have had pets my whole life ranging from cats to birds to fish. I also love dogs and so does my 9 year old daughter and my husband. I have cared for family members, neighbors and friends animals (cats and dogs) for many years. My cat is 19 years old and I have also had to say goodbye to my baby, Daphnie who I had from the time she was a baby until she passed away, and my other baby Willow, who we rescued when we lived in Hawaii and was a part of our family for about 10 years. I am therefore familiar with senior care for animals. I’ve administered oral, topical and iv meds (yes I did that home with one of my cats near the end of her life). I love to walk and run and have always enjoyed taking dogs for a walk when I’ve cared for the pets of others. I have even cared for a few rowdy young dogs that were still in puppy training school. I have been pet sitting on River for about 3 years. I’ve done many drop in visits, boarding and dog walks for my clients. I am currently a home maker so I have a flexible schedule to care for your babies. Most weeks I am able to do mornings, mid day and evenings I have a fenced in yard. I have one cat, who has been around dogs, lived with a dog and is used to the occasional dog being boarded in our home. He is fine with dogs as long as the dogs are calm towards him. I would not be able to host in my home any very young dogs that may want to “play” with my cat as he is older and also has no interest in being friends with a dog. He is very non-aggressive and tends to mostly avoid them whenever I board.
“Lana and her pups make a joyful team with whom I could leave my baby. They live so close to my work and I can be worry free as I focus on my work! Lana is a gentle soul and my baby loves their company! Thanks Lana!”

“Teri has been great for my dog. I moved to the Houston area for work and my dog needed someplace to go during the day that wasn't a hotel. After one visit, he was hooked. He gets just as excited to go to her place as he is to go to the park. Beyond taking great care of him, Teri has helped me find resources for him like vets and groomers. She genuinely loves all the dogs she watches and provides excellent care.”

About: Boarding drop off can begin at 7:00 am and pick ups 6:00 pm at the latest. Bath $25 upon request. Boarding includes daily walks when weather is good and in the evenings when its not to hot. If you don't want me to walk your dog please let me know. 💢I don't have experience with aggressive dogs or scape artists. I am a housewife and also do some paintings in my house so im always at home , no kids in the house, I have had 5 dogs for this past years but now I only have one, so i have more free time. While boarding your furr kids I will spoil them as if the they were of my own, I don't mean to be rude but please make sure they don't have fleas. Make sure your pet pet is potty trained please. And will keep my pet separated from yours . ✨️✨️Hablo español también✨️✨️ 🦂🐟🐛🕷🐢🦎🐸 I don't have experience with reptiles and amphibians but I would love to give it a try, if you have a ( NON venomous/poisonous) small reptile, amphibian, tortoise, arachnid, betta fish you can contact me and bring your own enclosure and food and give me written instructions ,( I only owned a bearded dragon for some months) I'm a housewife so most of the time I'm at home and I don't have kids so I can have more time for your pet. I have a fenced yard, no kids, quiet environment, no smoke, i can let your pet go to potty many times as needed, and pet will be in a crate at nights
About: I’ve taken care of dogs all my life. Some of the dogs I’ve cared for have been young, high energy dogs and others have been older dogs in need of specialized care. I’ve also cared for dogs who take medication and have special needs. At this time, I’m only accepting new boardings of young dogs in my home. The reason for this is because I have a high energy, wants to play all the time, Yorkie dog of my own. She’s friendly but tends to be a little much for older dogs to handle. She gets along great with puppies and young dogs however! I homeschool my two younger daughters, ages 10 and 12, so we are home most of the day. We would love to snuggle and play with your dogs all day long. I am a stay-at-home mom who homeschools two of my three children so I am home more than most. I am available weekdays and weekends. I allow dogs to run free within my home but can crate if requested. I have a large fenced in backyard. I have 3 children ages 10-15 years old who love dogs. I also have a high energy, sweet 6 year old Yorkshire terrier to keep your pup company.
“Bear had so much fun and treats during her stay with Thi. Thi and her husband is such a lovely, caring and passionate couple. They took wonderful pictures of Bear that really impressed me. She updated me everything that happened during Bear’s stay, this proves her dedication for caring and loving Bear. I totally can trust my furbaby with Thi and her husband and will be a repeated client in the future.”

“My dog had such a great time!! And the photos they sent were so cute. You can tell my furbaby had so much fun. He's a big dog so I'm so happy he had space to run around and enjoy himself”

This was our first time to use Rover and I’m glad we chose Ashley. She was accommodating and our dogs went with her right away, like they had known her forever. They seemed to really enjoy her backyard, from the video and pictures she sent. We plan to book with Ashley again.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
