“Teri has been great for my dog. I moved to the Houston area for work and my dog needed someplace to go during the day that wasn't a hotel. After one visit, he was hooked. He gets just as excited to go to her place as he is to go to the park. Beyond taking great care of him, Teri has helped me find resources for him like vets and groomers. She genuinely loves all the dogs she watches and provides excellent care.”

“Our dog had a great day with Susan and the other dogs she was taking care of when ours was there. Lots of pictures of playtime/naptime. Very convenient location near the NASA Center. Thank you.”

“My dog is a foster dog who I adopted just 1 month ago. He can have seperation anxiety. This morning Timothy met us in the parking lot and helped transition my dog. Timothy was patient and excellent in helping my dog get used to a new enviroment. It was my dogs first day care and TImothy provided support and training for him. Appreciated him as a dog trainer and sitter.”

“Traci, Jason and family were wonderful put sitters. Lily loves a yard, stimulation, and kindness. She enjoyed all three while staying in their home. I would highly recommend this sitter to other Rover patrons. Heather Wooten”
“Hunter was an absolute lifesaver! She was available last minute to watch my puppy and did an amazing job. She kept me updated with great communication throughout the stay, and I could tell my pup felt safe and happy with her—she was so excited to see her again the next day! Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I’ve raised and trained puppies, cared for senior dogs with love and patience, and everything in between. I’m experienced in leash training, treat training, managing different energy levels and ensuring dogs feel safe, loved and engaged—whether it’s during a walk, playtime or while they’re relaxing at home. What sets me apart is my deep understanding of a dog’s emotional needs. I truly believe that dogs are healing animals and I approach each one with the same love and attention I give my own. I’m attentive to body language, responsive to their individual personalities and adaptable to their unique needs. Whether it’s a high-energy pup that needs an adventure or a senior dog that requires a slower pace and extra care, I’m here to provide the perfect balance of fun, comfort and love. It’s an honor for me to care for dogs and give them the affection and attention they deserve while their families are away. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule during the weekdays, which allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. As a dog mom and a mom to three kids, I’m used to balancing care and attention for everyone in my home. I’m available for walks, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day, but evenings and weekends are typically dedicated to my family, making my availability a bit less flexible during those times. That said, I’m happy to plan ahead and do my best to accommodate any special requests! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, safety, trust and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to get to know each dog’s personality, routine and preferences to ensure they feel secure and at ease. I’m attentive to their body language and signals, always making sure they feel safe and loved. In a client’s home, I maintain their established routine as closely as possible—whether that means following feeding schedules, administering medication or keeping up with favorite walks and playtime. I’m respectful of the space and treat each home as if it were my own. When pets are in my care, they not only receive my full attention, but they also have a very loving and social dog to play with, providing them with companionship and fun. Plus, they’ll be surrounded by my warm and caring family, who will shower them with love, attention and plenty of tummy rubs. I create a calm, loving environment where dogs can relax, feel safe and truly be part of the family while their owners are away.
“Luna had a great time playing at Sarah's. I really enjoyed reading the notes at the end of each day where Sarah told me about all the fun things that Luna got to do and new friends she was making. Will definitely book again.”

About: Hey there! My name is Kendall, and I’ve been told my whole life that animals seem to have a special affection for me—and that feeling is absolutely mutual :) I’ve been caring for and loving animals for as long as I’ve been alive 😊! I’m the go-to pet sitter for my entire family, extended family, friends, and neighbors, and it’s something I truly love doing! I care for cats and dogs of every size and personality. I know they’re all different and some might have certain quirks and need a little special care… having a husky makes me very familiar with this! 🤣 People entrust me with their babies (human and fur), and I make sure to care for them with the same love I give to my little snow bear (my Siberian Husky haha). I have experience with a wide range of breeds, including Huskies, Border Collies, Dachshunds, Boxers, Aussies, Spaniels, Yorkies, Dalmatians, German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, Golden Retrievers, Frenchies… you name it! I’ve cared for pets of all ages—from young puppies and kittens to senior dogs and cats—and I’m comfortable accommodating different needs, routines, and medications. I understand that every pet is unique. Some need extra encouragement to eat, special meal routines, or just a little extra patience and attention. I’m very used to working with those individual quirks (I even have a Husky who insists on a “taste tester” bowl before eating—true Husky fashion haha). Above all, I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. If you want the peace of mind of knowing that someone is truly treating your pet like their own and giving them plenty of attention, playtime, and affection while you’re gone, then look no further! I’m currently working part-time, and I already pet sit for a few friends, family, and neighbors, but I have a pretty flexible schedule to accommodate more clients! The way I care for each pet is different based on each client’s needs. I just try to do exactly what the owner normally would do for their pet, plus I make sure to give everyone lots of attention and play time. I also can take your pups on walks if they like that. I have a Husky, so multiple, long, daily walks are just a way of life for us! I’m also great with dogs who are nervous around new people or just always have anxiety. I promise I’ll become one of their new favorite friends! As far as pet sitting at my home… I have a clean, smoke-free home, and my apartment complex has two enclosed dog areas for them to be able to freely run around in outside. There’s also a huge loop, which is where I take my sweet boy on his walks.
About: I love animals! I don't work so I have free time to take care of your loved ones. I had a teacup Yorkshire terrier dog until she was very old and cared for her while she couldn't walk or see well until she passed. I have taken care of my daughter and grandkids dog a miniature Schnauzer for many years. I also speak Spanish and English. I have been looking for a small job that I can do and this type of job is perfect for me. Your dogs are always going to be welcomed in my home. I am flexible on the area where I can dog sit, dog board, or dog walk. I don't have a job so I am home all the time during the week. I can take care for your pets at all times during the day. I will take your loves for walks and give them food or water as much as needed. I give the best care for all the animals I see. I will adjust to the needs of any pet that I have whether it’s over night stay, if they have disabilities, or if they need specific caring needs. I'm experienced with giving medication and caring for senior dogs. Feel free to tell me anything specific your pet needs.
About: I have always loved animals! and have always owned some animals! I can go on long walks, I own a big car and I am responsible and organized! I am currently in school but have a lot of free time. I am patient and understanding. I am also active and attentive! and I know of many good walking trails 😉 I am currently working a full time job but am soon going to be leaving to make time for school and will have more free time to board and do drop ins after february but for now I work 7-4:30pm but i can do walks in the evening and drop ins! when I leave my current job I will have plenty more time and opportunity to serve your animals needs 🫡 I am respectful of others property, I own 5 cats, cats who are very social but if they don’t like something they hide so dogs will not be an issue when boarding. I also don’t mind playing with animals for enrichment reasons, I also understand if a dog has a specific diet because my cats do as well. Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Taylor Lake Village commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
