“The Newsom family was the best that could have happened for my little Chase for day care. He had an awesome time over there and we are so sad that it was his official last day yesterday. I’m so thankful for their lovely and caring minds! Chase will miss you a lot!”

“My dog is a foster dog who I adopted just 1 month ago. He can have seperation anxiety. This morning Timothy met us in the parking lot and helped transition my dog. Timothy was patient and excellent in helping my dog get used to a new enviroment. It was my dogs first day care and TImothy provided support and training for him. Appreciated him as a dog trainer and sitter.”

“Susan took great care of our Quinn. Quinn has separation anxiety so couldn't be left alone while we attended an evening event. It worked out perfectly to drop her off for a few hours with Susan and her family. So nice to be able to enjoy the evening worry-free!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs most of my life. I am also experienced with cats. I am ready to meet every need your pet requires. Jonah is going to college so I am only taking return customers. Our schedule varies but pups will be alone during most days of the work week. My husband and I will give them lots of love other than that. Weekends are preferable during the school year. During the summer, we are flexible and home during the day. I have medium sized fenced in yard. I take morning and evening walks. There is a nice open field right by my house if a dog requires more exercise.
About: No special skills, just a guy who loves animals and will help you take care of yours while you're away or need a break. Ive always had a pet in the house for the most part and have always watched friends and family pets often. Figured I may as well see if anyone wants a trustworthy pet sitter! I'm a stay at home husband who takes care of 3 cats currently and taking care of more pets would be no trouble. So pet care is just part of my everyday amyway I have a large fenced in yard, as well as a 3000sq ft home with plenty of rooms and space if your pet wants open areas, plenty of space if they need space. All dogs get atleast 1 walk a day(2 if it isnt 90+degrees). I feed my own pets twice a day 12hours a part. However am I will to feed your pets on any schedule they normally would have at home
“Shiloh seemed well taken care of while my family took a visit to NASA. Thi was well accommodating and available to look after Shiloh. Would recommend Thi’s service and wanted to share our family’s great experience!”

“Teri has been great for my dog. I moved to the Houston area for work and my dog needed someplace to go during the day that wasn't a hotel. After one visit, he was hooked. He gets just as excited to go to her place as he is to go to the park. Beyond taking great care of him, Teri has helped me find resources for him like vets and groomers. She genuinely loves all the dogs she watches and provides excellent care.”

“Traci, Jason and family were wonderful put sitters. Lily loves a yard, stimulation, and kindness. She enjoyed all three while staying in their home. I would highly recommend this sitter to other Rover patrons. Heather Wooten”
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I’ve raised and trained puppies, cared for senior dogs with love and patience, and everything in between. I’m experienced in leash training, treat training, managing different energy levels and ensuring dogs feel safe, loved and engaged—whether it’s during a walk, playtime or while they’re relaxing at home. What sets me apart is my deep understanding of a dog’s emotional needs. I truly believe that dogs are healing animals and I approach each one with the same love and attention I give my own. I’m attentive to body language, responsive to their individual personalities and adaptable to their unique needs. Whether it’s a high-energy pup that needs an adventure or a senior dog that requires a slower pace and extra care, I’m here to provide the perfect balance of fun, comfort and love. It’s an honor for me to care for dogs and give them the affection and attention they deserve while their families are away. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule during the weekdays, which allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. As a dog mom and a mom to three kids, I’m used to balancing care and attention for everyone in my home. I’m available for walks, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day, but evenings and weekends are typically dedicated to my family, making my availability a bit less flexible during those times. That said, I’m happy to plan ahead and do my best to accommodate any special requests! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, safety, trust and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to get to know each dog’s personality, routine and preferences to ensure they feel secure and at ease. I’m attentive to their body language and signals, always making sure they feel safe and loved. In a client’s home, I maintain their established routine as closely as possible—whether that means following feeding schedules, administering medication or keeping up with favorite walks and playtime. I’m respectful of the space and treat each home as if it were my own. When pets are in my care, they not only receive my full attention, but they also have a very loving and social dog to play with, providing them with companionship and fun. Plus, they’ll be surrounded by my warm and caring family, who will shower them with love, attention and plenty of tummy rubs. I create a calm, loving environment where dogs can relax, feel safe and truly be part of the family while their owners are away.
About: I am here to take your pup from playtime to public access ready! We will walk and train simultaneously, extending endurance, geography, vocabulary, walking form, attitude, and responsiveness. We reinforce basic obedience, manners, commands, and tricks in a supportive, pawsitive environment using the same methods used to train professional working dogs. I am full-time hands on, so your pooch can join us as we trick, treat, and train! Public access practice, dog parks, nature trails, and home-based training all are daily practices. I have a large apartment that is easily subdivided to separate pets for chill time. We have play space, can crate, and can create a separate dog room. Pets are never given human food, but have consistent fresh water. Great sensitivity is given to temperature and texture of the ground to protect your pups paws. Each dog has their own energy level and exercise requirements, and we will tailor your dog's walks to their personal fitness.
“Katie was awesome! She posted pictures and kept me updated. Her dog was sweet to Wrigley and she had a playmate for the day. I felt way more comfortable knowing my pup was somewhere they were looked after and cared for on a long work day!”

“Hunter was an absolute lifesaver! She was available last minute to watch my puppy and did an amazing job. She kept me updated with great communication throughout the stay, and I could tell my pup felt safe and happy with her—she was so excited to see her again the next day! Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve cared for multi-diverse manner dogs for 15+ years. I have experience and certification in behavior therapy. So I understand motivation, reinforcement, and attending to differing array of expressed behaviors, as-well as creating behavior interventions plans to train for appropriate/desired behaviors for clients. I’m a voice actor, so my schedule is as I dictate it to be. I’ve got commitments, however I’ve got loads of freedom to attend to dogs full-time. It’s a true joy. When I render services I’d like you to consider your lovely pet on a holiday surrounded by private security. They will be safe in my fenced neighborhood, I will be present and interactive, and will bring so much fun they’ll be bouncing to come back. All my family and friends love pets and show much affection. My place will be an extension of your family — if you’ll have us.
“Beautiful fenced yard. Kids and family dog to play with. Perfect for our Houston Space Center outing. We will definitely use Ashley again if we’re ever in the area :)”

Angelo accepted our short notice request (less than 12 hrs notice) on our trip to Houston from Arizona to visit The Houston Space Center. He is excellent and we will have him again if we visit the area. Goose loves and adore him. Excellent updates and pictures tooZ Thank u so much Angelo and God bless 💕💕💕

I truly appreciate Timothy for taking care of Quincy, especially on such short notice. He was responsive to all of my questions and made the process easy. I did receive one photo during Quincy’s stay, and I would have loved to get a few more updates, but overall I have no complaints. Thank you for caring for Quincy!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your League City commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
