About: I have had dogs my whole life (ranging from friendly huskies to lazy chihuahuas to finicky shiba inus), and recently my sister has moved across the country with our two fur babies so there is an empty nest. I love having dogs in my home and they are allowed to roam free around my house/yard/bed. I can take your dog to the dog park, for a run, or just let them sunbathe in my backyard if that's their style! ***NOTE*** I do not take dogs that have displayed aggression towards other dogs. I am usually dogsitting at any given time. There’s a dog park near my home so we can easily walk over to burn off some energy and sunbathe. Your dog is allowed anywhere in my home (on the bed/couch). I live next to a dog park and a regular park with a trail.
“AJ is a true animal lover with a huge heart and thoughtful spirit. Our beasties had never been apart from us for more than a day, so having AJ come walk them every day for a week ensured they got their exercise and affection, and meant they could remain at home. AJ provided detailed updates on what was going well and what wasn’t, and provided feedback on ways we could help the dogs acclimate to separation and new caregivers. We look forward to having AJ at our home for our next trip!”

“Karen and Mike were absolutely incredible! We booked them to watch Luna on our wedding day, and they were a total lifesaver. You can tell right away how much they truly love Luna; they treated her like one of their own. They made sure she was perfectly taken care of, which allowed us to fully enjoy our big day without a single worry. They are professional, kind, and made everything run so smoothly. 10/10 recommend them to anyone looking for top-tier care!”

About: Hi! My name is Angelina and I love animals. I’m responsible, patient, and enjoy spending time walking, feeding, and playing with pets. I make sure your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. I treat every pet like my own! I am currently in college and I live at home, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your fur babies before and after school and on my off days! I do have a big fenced yard for your dogs to play in. I also have 2 friendly dogs of my own to keep yours company

About: I have owned over 10 cats and 6 dogs in my life.. I have taken care of pets for a little over 2 years now for 3 families and various friends. I enjoy it so much I’m wanting to grow in my community! I always seem to be the person shy cats or dogs will come up to and let pet. I get a chuckle and sense of accomplishment when people say “Wow my cat never goes up to strangers like that.” 😅 I believe having calm, trusting, reassuring energy is key when taking care of and getting to know pets. They need to feel safe. I will treat your pets as if they were my own! Very familiar with senior care for older dogs and cats like eye and ear drops, hiding medicine in food, special diets, etc. I currently work from home. I own my own furniture restoration and upholster business so I have a lot of flexibility to help! We only have one daughter whose school is right down our street. We currently have two Siamese cats that are indoor only. They get mixed wet/dry food everyday and lots of play time. I also take care of multiple small breed dogs for family. Go feed them twice a day, twice a day. I always believe trust is earned.

About: Hi! I’m Ayva, your pet’s future best friend! I’m a lover of all animals with years of experience caring for furry friends. I currently care for my own German Shepherd who has unique dietary requirements. This has taught me the importance of paying attention to feeding instructions, medication, exercise, and recognizing if something is not right. I am comfortable following detailed care instructions, maintaining routines, cleaning up after pets, and providing plenty of updates and photos so you have better peace of mind. I’m patient, dependable, and detail-oriented. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing with toys, or simply relaxing and cuddling, I’m more than pleased to match their energy and keep them as comfortable as possible while you are away. I understand how worrying it can be to leave your pet behind in the hands of someone else. My goals are to minimize your worry and stress by providing exceptional care and in-detail updates, and to provide your pet with a comfortable, safe environment while you are away. I’m currently employed part time, though I am more than willing to work around my schedule to fit your pet’s needs and timeline. My schedule tends to be flexible, especially on weekends. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible to help them feel comfortable and safe. I carefully follow all feeding, walking, medication (if needed), and other care instructions, and I will make sure your home is left just as I found it. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I’ll ensure gates, doors, and leashes are secure before going outside, monitor your pet for any changes in their behavior or health, and provide plenty of exercise, attention, and affection based on their needs. I will also send you regular photo and video updates so you can be as stress-free as possible while you are away.
“Stella (Xing) was amazing! Wonderful family-oriented person; super detailed and timely. Very sweet personality. She was such a relief! — hard to find people who feel so trustworthy and open. 😊”

“Mia was great! I had never had someone walk my dog and was a little nervous. She made me feel super comfortable. She took some great pictures along the way! We will be using her again!”

About: Hi there! I’m Julia—a 27-year-old former elementary school teacher turned full-time remote professional. Working from home lets me do what I love most: spend my days with animals. Pets have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mom has worked in a veterinary clinic for over a decade, so I grew up learning how to keep dogs and cats happy, healthy, and safe. I have a dog named Asher, who is a playful 7-year-old Australian Shepherd. I offer reliable, loving care for your four-legged family members—whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays. Let’s set up a meet-and-greet so your pup or kitty can sniff me out and see if we’re a match. I can’t wait to meet them! I currently work from home in a remote setting so I am more free to walk your pet or let your pet outside and play with them. I care for the pets by playing with them, taking them outside and cuddling/ petting them whenever they come up to me to want some loving!
About: I have been a long-time dog owner and an ongoing auntie/grandma/sitter for neighbor and family pets for the last 18 years. I've taken care of pups of all ages, demeanors, and sizes, and even some with health complications. I am willing and able to keep your pup company and give lots of love and belly rubs. I'm currently retired and have a fair amount of time on my hands. I love spending time outside--walking, gardening, and bird-watching, so taking care of a pup or two would be a pleasant addition to my day. My husband, Jorge, works from home too and can lend another pair of eyes to watch over your pups so they'll never feel lonely or go without supervision. I have a large fenced yard perfect for squirrel watching, lounging, and sunbathing. Your pup will have plenty of attention and things to do while waiting for you to come home.
“Thi was awesome with my pup and it was so easy to communicate with her. She was flexible and helpful and made sure my babies were well taken care of. Will definitely use her again!”

“Amazing service provided by this couple! Have already reached out to them twice in just a week, and have not been disappointed. Very pleased. You should definitely hire them! You will not be disappointed.”

If you love your dog like I do Karen and Mike will make sure to go the extra mile to care for your pup. I know when they come to walk Billie I don’t have to worry and she will be as spoiled as if I was home walking her myself. They are communicative, caring, and have a true love for animals! I %100 recommend!

Etni had her work cut out for her- it rained every day I was away. She went above and beyond when she took them for an extra walk because the rain cut into their original walk. I’m very appreciative of Etni and the time and attention she gave to my pups while I was away. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
