“Brandon did a great job watching our dog. He was very conscientious about playing with him and making sure he got enough love and attention and outside time and we got lots of pictures so we could see how he was doing. We highly recommend Brandon.”

“Thank you for the last minute help taking in our pups, Ashley did an awesome job our dogs seemed to get along with her dog and family, and looked happy and relaxed. We appreciated the consistent and open communication! Thanks again!”

“Amy is amazing! Highly recommended! Lots of play time with her dog. Her kids help and Max loves being around them! He never wants to leave!! Great job, Amy & family!!”

“Everything was great. Before the sitting started we contacted Liz to see if she could have Linda (our dog) one day later just in case we couldn't arrive on time to pick her up. She was able to do it so we change the boarding time in the app with Liz help. She sent us pictures during Linda's stay, we wait to have signal to receive them. When we picked up Linda, she was calm no signs of stress, and that is always a good sign with pets!! We could tell she had a good time with Liz and her family. Thank you Liz!!”

“Angela was a pleasure to speak to and she put our family at ease while our pup Ollie was in her care. Correspondence was great before his boarding and she sent plenty of videos and pictures during his 4 night stay. She wanted to know lots of details to make our pup's stay a smooth transition. She took him on walks and played with him a lot too. You can tell she really loves dogs and enjoyed his stay as much as he did! We undoubtedly will use her again and recommend her to anyone needing dog care.”

“I am very happy with Annette she did a very good job with my dog for sure I will ask her again to take care of my dog if I need to. She was very helpful and Luka seems to like her so much I am glad I did find Annette and I really appreciate her lovely time to take her over my Luka.”

“Ana was amazing with Toby! She was so sweet and communicated with us the whole time, which really gave us peace of mind. I especially appreciated the videos she sent of Toby running around the yard, it made our day. We’re definitely coming back to her whenever we’re in the Houston area. Highly recommend!”

“This was the first time I used rover for a boarding service. So naturally I was nervous about it. Destinee made me feel very comfortable leaving my guy in her care. She sent me pictures and videos of him. I will 💯% recommend her to my friends and family!”

“Maria did a great job of taking care of our two dogs while we for away for the weekend. She cared for our dogs as if they were her own. She was very easy to communicate with from start to finish and kept us updated everyday with how our pups were doing. We were extremely happy with the care she gave. Thank you Maria!”

“Gaby is an amazing host. She looked after our dog for 2 weeks at short notice. It was the first time we had used dogvacay but Gaby made the process easy and stress free. She sent regular photo updates and kept us up to date with what was going on. My dog looked so happy and like she'd had a great time when we went to pick her up. Gaby has a great space for the dogs to run around and her two dogs got on really well and played so nicely with mine (especially playful Niko). Her cat was great with my curious dog too! Gaby and her family really did treat my dog like one of their own and I'm so happy she was so welcomed and loved. I highly recommend Gaby to everyone!!!”
“Elezha did an awesome job with my dog! I have never seen him connect with someone so fast. She kept me updated the whole time & gave him plenty of walks. Will definitely book again for future needs!”

About: I have been around and taken care of family dogs since I was younger. I have always been an animal lover! My whole family has at least one dog and I have an 11 year old yorkie myself! I am good with all types of dogs from big dogs to little dogs! I am currently unemployed so I have a lot of free time to take care and play with your fur babies at any time on any day. I do live in an apartment that is gated around and has a very nice and big dog park. I also have a yorkie who is 11 years old and just loves to sleep and cuddle.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Deer Park
Ashlyn helped take care of my dog for 4 months, and I’m truly grateful for everything she did. During the stay, an unexpected accident happened and my dog was injured. While accidents are never something anyone can fully anticipate, Ashlyn showed an incredible sense of responsibility and care. She proactively took my dog to the hospital and looked after her extremely well throughout the recovery process. What I appreciate most is that Ashlyn treated my dog like a family member, not just a pet. Her kindness, responsibility, and genuine love for animals really stood out. Whether you are looking for regular boarding or care for a dog with special needs, I would highly recommend Ashlyn. She is an excellent dog sitter, and both she and her family are very loving and attentive.

Debbie is the best. It has been a while since we traveled and I was feeling guilty about dropping off my dog. But once my dog saw Debbie at the door, she pulled as hard as she could to get to her friend. She remembered her and was so happy to be there. I left without feeling any guilt at all because I knew my dog was getting a vacation!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
