“Matthew was a great dog sitter! He sent pictures and updates daily which allowed us to see our dogs having a great time. Timely responses in all communications. I highly recommend Matthew for those of you looking for someone to care for your pet. I plan on using Matthew again in the future.”

“Bandit had the best time with Laura! She sent regular pictures and videos which gave me so much peace of mind while we were away. He was well taken care of and so happy! You can tell Laura truly loves animals and treats them like her own. I would definitely book with her again!”

About: Genuine love for pets. I naturally care for their well-being and love the affection I get from all animals. My family and I have 5 dogs of our own and recently we were adopted by our newly stray cat, Carey. We have been fostering dogs since Thanksgiving of 2017 and we have learned a lot how all pets deserve second chances and how each one of them heals at their own time. My dog walks are tailored to your pet needs, I will focus on the safety of your pet and myself during my service. You can trust that your pet will always be in loving and caring hands. Dog walking would be my primary activity next to my English classes. I will work with you to make sure that your pets needs are met in a timely manner. At home we have a fenced backyard and at my customers' homes I make sure that safety is a priority during my service. That means that I would make sure that your pet is properly secured and that is happy while we are together.
“I could not be happier with Elezha’s care of our Khloe. She kept me informed of her daily activities and sent pictures each day. Khloe was extremely well taken care of and was right at home when I picked her up. Elezha definitely cares and it shows! I will definitely be contacting her again if we ever need services again. It’s a great feeling to know Khloe was left with someone who cared for her like family. Five stars for sure!!”

“Bibi and Daniel were wonderful, caring, and so patient with our dogs. They treated them like part of their family. We would definitely work with them again!”

“This was our second time boarding Axlie and Remi with Ariana, and once again, she was amazing! She’s so sweet, flexible, and clearly loves what she does. Both of our dogs absolutely adore going over there, they get excited as soon as we pull up! She sends great updates and makes us feel completely at ease while we’re away. We’re so thankful to have found someone we can fully trust with our pups. Highly recommend!”

“Second time just as good as the first! This is our second time we booked with Leon. When my trip got extended for a medical emergency, Leon was happy to take care of my pup for two extra nights. It was great knowing my Ranger was well taken care of while I focused on getting back to Texas. This is the second time staying with Leon and his family and we will definitely be staying there again!”

“Lori and Grandma Grace are the best!! We are returning clients, and my dog absolutely adores them both and now gets so excited to see them!! Thank you guys so much for making my pup feel right at home in your home!”

“Very outstanding communication, I received updates photos and videos everyday it helped a lot not being stressed or worrying if Moose was taken care of. Definitely will rebook when going on other trips. Jessica has truly made our first Rover experience very delightful.”

“Our Dog Dax had an AMAZING stay with Chelsea and Amy! They were very communicative and flexible all through the process. I highly recommend them and will definitely use again!”

“Ashley is such a great dog sitter! You can tell how much she really loves dogs and is in tune with their behavior. She took such good care of my shy pups (walks, playtime, treats, puzzles, etc…) and sent super frequent pictures and updates. I was so comfortable that my dogs were in great hands while I was traveling, and she even gave me some wonderful tips and tricks for training my dogs at home when I was quizzing her about all the fantastic training she does with her own dogs! I will 100% be using her again in the future.”

“Kolleen and family were amazing. Fiona had a blast and really don’t think she wanted to come home. Great photo and video updates. Will definitely book again Thank you very much for taking care of my girl.”

“Angela was a blessing! We were gone for 10 days and being new to the area we were so worried about leaving our pups. She took the very best care of our pups and they seemed very happy when we picked them up! We will definitely used Angela again and we highly recommend her. She is very loving and experienced and we could not be more pleased.”

“This was my first time using Leslie and she was beyond fantastic! She really took the time to understand each of my dogs needs and took great care of them both. She sent lots of photos and updates and I could tell they both felt comfortable and right at home. Knowing they were well taken care of while I was gone was a huge relief and Poptart and Wally would be so excited to go back!”
“June had an awesome time. Daniela’s two fur babies really made June feel at home. Played all day and had no issues sleeping in her kennel during her over night stays. We received multiple pictures and videos of them playing and cuddling together. I can honestly tell you we had zero concerns during our vacation, only that she might not want to come home, lol. Thank you!!”

“Michelle was amazing. It was only the second time that we have boarded our dog and he was so well taken care of. Michelle sent photos and updates twice a day and our boy was relaxed and happy. She has a welcoming home for dogs and a lovely back yard for outside time. We would definitely use again and highly recommend.”

“Zoraya is such an amazing sitter! She always takes good care of my girls and they are always sooo excited to stay with her. She is always my first choice when I have to travel.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
