“I highly recommend Ariana for dog boarding. She provides excellent care and keeps me updated with photos, which I truly appreciate. The best part is the home environment she offers; Cali is never confined to a kennel and instead spends her day surrounded by a loving family and other dogs. Ariana’s supervision is top-notch, and I feel completely at ease leaving Cali in her hands.”

“Thank you for the last minute help taking in our pups, Ashley did an awesome job our dogs seemed to get along with her dog and family, and looked happy and relaxed. We appreciated the consistent and open communication! Thanks again!”

“Jessica provided stellar service. I was initially nervous boarding my cat and reactive dog. There were no issues and Jessica provided daily updates and photos and even replaced forgotten treats/toys since it was a bit of a trip. Would definitely recommend.”

“Elezha did an awesome job with my dog! I have never seen him connect with someone so fast. She kept me updated the whole time & gave him plenty of walks. Will definitely book again for future needs!”

“Stephanie and her family were awesome. Especially on such a short notice. She was a life saver. My Sammie enjoyed her time with Stephanie and got comfortable at her place super fast. I received daily pics and videos of my Sammie and also daily updates of her activities. I highly recommend Stephanie and her family and I will use her agin and again. Thanks”

About: Genuine love for pets. I naturally care for their well-being and love the affection I get from all animals. My family and I have 5 dogs of our own and recently we were adopted by our newly stray cat, Carey. We have been fostering dogs since Thanksgiving of 2017 and we have learned a lot how all pets deserve second chances and how each one of them heals at their own time. My dog walks are tailored to your pet needs, I will focus on the safety of your pet and myself during my service. You can trust that your pet will always be in loving and caring hands. Dog walking would be my primary activity next to my English classes. I will work with you to make sure that your pets needs are met in a timely manner. At home we have a fenced backyard and at my customers' homes I make sure that safety is a priority during my service. That means that I would make sure that your pet is properly secured and that is happy while we are together.
“I keep forgetting to leave a review, but Susan and her family have really set a new bar for me on what to expect for a Rover stay. She takes care of my doggo like her own, writes down and records all her preferences and needs, and is very flexible. Won't leave my dog with anyone else if I can help it!”

“Leslie did a wonderful job! She kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos, which made us feel so comfortable knowing our pup was safe and having fun. I’d definitely recommend her!”

“Michelle was amazing. It was only the second time that we have boarded our dog and he was so well taken care of. Michelle sent photos and updates twice a day and our boy was relaxed and happy. She has a welcoming home for dogs and a lovely back yard for outside time. We would definitely use again and highly recommend.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Katie. She is all you want if you want someone who is sweet and kind, and cares for your pet as if it were hers. My Ellie was at ease from the first meet, and she enjoyed her time with Katie to the fullest. Katie communicated with me every day with notes and pictures showing how content and playful Ellie was at Katie's home. I will sing her praises to anyone and everyone who needs a wonderful sitter for their fur baby.”

“Our second time to have Lori keep Harley for us. We were actually overseas for a week and I have to say I never worried about my pup! When I dropped Harley off with Lori and her family I felt so at ease that they would treat her like one of their own and indeed they did! I came home they had bathed Harley before I got there and I could tell by Harley’s demeanor that made her fell right at home for the week that she was with them. Thank you Lori for taking such great care of my girl Harley. The peace of mind is priceless!”

“Matthew was awesome accepting my last minute booking. My puppy was instantly comfortable with him. He didn’t bark or anything when they met. The daily updates and photos were great for my anxiety as this was the first time I was not with my puppy. Thank you Matthew and we will back. Hopefully you are available.”

“Angela was a pleasure to speak to and she put our family at ease while our pup Ollie was in her care. Correspondence was great before his boarding and she sent plenty of videos and pictures during his 4 night stay. She wanted to know lots of details to make our pup's stay a smooth transition. She took him on walks and played with him a lot too. You can tell she really loves dogs and enjoyed his stay as much as he did! We undoubtedly will use her again and recommend her to anyone needing dog care.”

“Amy is amazing! Highly recommended! Lots of play time with her dog. Her kids help and Max loves being around them! He never wants to leave!! Great job, Amy & family!!”

“Sanjuanita and Daniel took excellent care of our baby! They provided updates and pictures which made us feel at ease. Will definitely book with them again!”

“Awesome to work with, great communication and really made sure my dog was having a great time. She was also very flexible with me as I had to add a day to the boarding and Stacy was super accommodating!”

“If I ever have to leave my dog again, I definitely will be booking with Grace! She was so amazing with Roxy! Sent me pictures all weekend of Roxy and her pup Hulk! They loved each other!! I would definitely recommend Grace to watch anyone who feels uneasy about newly using Dog Vacay!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Highlands
We kept our dog zuco with Nile for 5 nights. Zuco has always stayed in a pet suite and this was the very first time he stayed in another house with a dog sitter. Nile provided picture update every morning of the stay. Each time in the photo zuco looked extremely happy and made our day each time. Zuco learned new things from her (like climbing to second floor) and zuco was very playful and happy when we went to pick him up. Seeing zuco happy made us very happy and will definitely rebook with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
