“Payton was an absolutely fantastic cat sitter, and I can’t recommend her enough. She cared for my cat over multiple days and consistently showed dedication and reliability with three drop-in visits each day—early morning, midday, and late at night. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my cat was being checked on regularly and thoughtfully. What really stood out was her communication. Payton is incredibly responsive and always lets us know ahead of time if there are any changes to her usual schedule, which I really appreciated. It made it easy to stay informed and feel confident everything was under control. After every visit, she sent a sweet update along with photos, which truly made my day and reassured me that my cat was happy and well cared for. On top of that, she was very attentive to our home—bringing in packages and making sure everything, including the alarm system, was secure and functioning properly. Overall, Payton went above and beyond. She is reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and thoughtful pet sitter.”

“Jessica is the sweetest and most responsible young person I have ever met. I would adopt her if I could. Ms. Jessica is very professional, polite and oh so responsible. My Cookie is not friendly to most people, but Jessica made her so comfortable and treated her like her own. I have never had such a relaxing vacation as I have this time. Jessica is beautiful inside and out, and such a delightful young lady!!”

“Kyra was amazing. She is so kind, caring, and attentive to details. She genuinely strives to please and care for your fur baby exactly the way you want. She was quick to respond and flexible to accommodate the needs of me and the pup. Not enough praises for her! Will definitely rebook her.”

“Savanna has been a blessing to us. I booked her originally for 5 days while me and my wife travel to New York. I didn’t come back until 2 days after those 5 were over and I was able to pay her to come do those andditinal days plus tip and she was very understanding. She is so great with my big dog Poppa as well as my little pups. Hopefully I can keep her as my regular dog sitter. We love her🫶🏾”

About: Hi! My name is Savannah, and I'm a college student pursuing my bachelor's degree in Animal Science with the goal of attending veterinary school to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). I currently work as a veterinary technician at a veterinary clinic, where I've gained hands-on experience with animal health, behavior, and handling pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Whether your dog is big or small, energetic or laid-back, I'm confident in providing safe, compassionate, and attentive care. I'm a very active person, so if your pup enjoys long walks, hikes, or even a run, I'd be happy to keep up with their energy! For pet sitting and boarding, my husband—who also has experience working with dogs—is available to help. Having two experienced animal lovers means your pets receive even more attention, care, and companionship while you're away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions—I look forward to meeting you and your pets! Me and my husband both board and sit for dogs. So when one of us aren’t home the other is. We work opposite schedules so your pets will be cared for 24/7. My husband will be assisting with care I take them potty and on walks as much as is requested by the owner. They get to play with our basket of dog toys and I also have cat toys. They can run around and play as much as they want.
“Valerie was wonderful! I had a little complicated situation feeding our outside cat when the other homies (cats) decided to takeover the backyard while we were gone. Very thankful for Valerie, she made me feel more comfortable.”

“Rosa is now Aunt Rosa! My cats Lucy and Bubba Lee lover her and run to the door or window when they hear her car. She is assisting me after I had an injury and has been indispensable! She comes twice a week and my cats get so excited when they see her and want immediate attention. She plays with them and gives them treats...they know our routine and look forward to it. Rosa is so personable and has become like family. I wanted to address the flea issue. Rosa is at my house a minimum of twice a week sometimes more and I have never had flea issues. If she had them at home, she would have brought them to my house. I cannot say enough nice things and highly recommend Rosa.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
