“Hannah is the sweetest dog sitter and we will DEFINITELY reach out to have her sit the dogs anytime we have to leave them. She is thorough and very detailed with her check-ins. She responds fast and is overall just an amazing human being. Thank you Hannah! 🩷”

“Thanks for taking such good care of Lucy. She was happy and healthy when my husband got home. Appreciate you!!!! Reliable and gets along with a spoiled Dashound. Not an easy task!”

“Angie was amazing with both my cats and dogs! Super easy to communicate with, kept me updated, and sent the cutest photos while I was away. I felt totally at ease knowing they were in good hands. I’d definitely book with her again!”

About: Pets have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. From hamsters and fish to cats and dogs, I’ve always had the joy of caring for animals, and I’ve loved every minute of it. Over the years, I’ve also rescued several pets of my own, which has made my love and appreciation for animals even stronger. When you’re away, I want your pets to feel just as safe, loved, and comfortable as they do at home. I offer pet walks, daily drop-ins, overnight sitting, and boarding, and I’m happy to work with whatever routine and care style makes your pet happiest. I’m also comfortable administering medications when needed, and I’m currently in school pursuing a career in healthcare. My schedule allows me to be available pretty much every day, giving me plenty of flexibility to give your pets the time, attention, and love they deserve. Your pets are family, and I’ll treat them like they’re my own! I am currently a student pursuing a degree in healthcare so I will be available most days as I am attending a local college. I am happy to do multiple daily drops-ins, daily walks, and weekend overnight sittings. I live on the first floor of my apartment complex that have multiple dog parks within it. It is a pet friendly community with plenty of walking trails all around the area. I recently lost my dog from old age, so my apartment is ready to host your babies!
“Christina was amazing with our dogs! She is a sweet person and communication was great. It was my first time using rover and she made it a great experience. I work nights and she was able to take them out in the evenings so they wouldn't be cooped up the entire time. She spent a good amount of time with them each visit. My dogs loved her. I could tell by the smiles they had in the pictures she would send from each walk. And some of the pictures were really good! If it wasn't for us moving to Austin I absolutely would have continued to use her as my go to person for dog sitting. She cared for them as if they were her own.”

About: I have taken care of my own 6 year old Yorkie for the past 6 years and I have had many dogs in my childhood as well that I have looked after. I am taking a break from traditional work and love animals so I have plenty to time to dedicate to taking care of your pets ! I have a large fenced backyard with plenty of space to play as well as my own 6 year old Yorkie who loves to make new friends .

“Jacell did exactly what was asked of her and texted me to let me know she would be a little late one day. I will be using her again. She’s awesome!! My lil boi was so happy with her.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs multiple times for friends and family, I’ve even taken care of lost dogs and helped find their owners During the week I try to do walks or check-ins on pets in the League City/Clear Lake areas but on weekends I’m more flexible for house sitting and drop-ins! My weekend schedule is mostly flexible to address any pet needs! And it you’d like me to do some extra to make your pet comfortable (dog parks, playtime) I can help with that!
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for about a year now. I’m really excited and enjoy the company of them. I’m hoping I can help with whatever family that needs it and I’m always a reliable source :) I’m currently a part time worker at heb so my schedule does fluctuate every week. With that said I’m more than happy to send out what my schedule looks like that week or the following to make sure I can meet the needs of your pets! I’m always taking notes of what is preferred in your house and trying to adapt to whatever your dogs needs are. I try my best to make them still feel comfortable while their owners are away or on vacation.
About: Hi, I’m Chloe! I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes. I provide reliable, attentive care and take pride in making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I follow care instructions closely, maintain consistent routines, and adapt my approach to each pet’s personality and needs. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or calm and reserved, I focus on providing a positive and stress-free experience every visit. I work full time but am available most evenings and during the day on weekends, making me a great option for pet parents who need dependable care outside of standard weekday hours. Clear communication and consistency are important to me, and my goal is to provide care you can trust. I work full time, but I’m available evenings and weekends to help care for your pets. I love being able to support pet parents so they don’t have to miss out on plans or worry about their pets while they’re away. A pets safety and health are very important. So I’d always do my best to show them how amazing they are! You’re their family so I’d make sure they know how much they mean to you.

About: I know most people will talk about their experiences and how long they've loved/owned pets and animals, so instead of telling you about my own, I will tell you something that I understand and that every pet owner wants to hear from a pet caregiver: They are more than animals who you play with, take on walks, feed or pet/give them belly rubs.. they're your family. As members of your family, it is my duty as a caregiver to make sure they are properly looked after, and more importantly: Loved and Respected. Both you and your family member will get your time and efforts worth, that is my vow as one who truly loves cats and dogs I'm looking for work right now, but I found about this and figured it'd be best to keep myself out there and making sure I ain't wasting away, especially when I get to help out folks and their family members 🙏 My schedule can change, but I'll be free most days from mornings to nights, and if staying at night is needed I can always couch crash if needed.. I'll bring my own blanket though lol As members of your family, I make sure they get not only properly fed and walked with, but that they get the attention, entertainment and discipline that you want from them! Whether they be dogs or cats, I know to give them space when I'm new and let them get used to my presence and scent. If they're skittish, I make sure to wear socks and not reach out to pet them, so that the footsteps don't spook em too often and that they don't think I'm chasing them 😅. I'm used to both auto feeders, wet food and custom made pet meals, so if you have a unique way to properly feed your pets I'll make sure to adhere to the procedure as well 🙂↕️. Same with their activities, I won't do anything you wouldn't want them to do, only things that you AND your family member approve of!
About: Need an extra dog mom? I'm your gal! With over 12 years of experience watching over others animals, I've done and seen almost all of it. (Though, there are some things that still surprise me every now and again!) Big or small, I've cared for them all! I do drop in visits, walking, baths, nail trims, and in home boarding for dogs 50lbs or less. Not that I don't love gentle giants, they just take up a lot of space! I also have two sisters who are vet techs so if I need them for any reason they are on stand by. Anyways, if you're in need of an extra hand during the day or an overnight stay, please reach out! I'm home all day every day so my schedule is pretty open. If I'm doing drop in visits I prefer going around noon but if I need too, i will make exceptions and go earlier or later depending on what my pet parents need. When doing overnight boarding I make sure everyone is fed, watered, and comfortable. For dogs, I make sure they have plenty of opportunities to go on walks and go potty. I have a fenced in yard where they can roam freely for outside time (supervised of course) When doing inhome visits, I pretty much implement the same care making sure to follow instructions left by the pet parents if applicable.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
