“Bailee was kind enough to stop by and meet Cooper before her first official walk! She took the time to navigate the building and to learn about Cooper’s quirks and needs. We are so excited to book with her and I’m relieved to know he’ll be in good hands!”

About: I have 15 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. As a full-time veterinary technician, I work with pets every day and have experience recognizing signs of illness, administering medications, and helping animals feel safe and comfortable. I'm comfortable caring for: • Puppies and kittens • Senior pets • Large and small breeds • Anxious or shy pets • High-energy dogs • Pets with medical conditions • Pets recovering from hospitalization and surgery (following veterinarian instructions) Whether we're going for a walk, playing, sticking to a medication schedule, or simply spending time together, I make sure every pet receives individualized care and plenty of love. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. My ultimate goal is to attend veterinary school, so getting exposure to helping owners is one of my biggest passions. I treat every pet like they're family while giving you peace of mind that they're in knowledgeable, caring hands. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I work as a veterinary technician and genuinely enjoy spending my free time with animals. I'm available after work on weekdays and have greater flexibility on my days off for walks and drop-in visits. I make it a priority to provide reliable, attentive care that keeps pets comfortable and maintains their usual routine. When caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I carefully follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and any special care their pet may need. I'm comfortable recognizing changes in a pet's behavior or health and can provide medication administration if needed according to your veterinarian's instructions. I always prioritize your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being while respecting your home and keeping everything clean and tidy! During each visit, I'll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and enrichment based on their personality and energy level. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to build trust with both pets and their owners through reliable, compassionate care.
“Maia was great! Communication is top-notch. She’s very responsive, reliable, and kept me updated throughout the visits. I felt completely comfortable leaving my dogs in her care. Would definitely book with her again!”
“Timothy was awesome! He responded super quickly even though it was a last-minute request, and everything went really smoothly. He took my dog Theo on a great walk, and I could tell he really cared. Highly recommend!”

“Chole is the BEST! She is always on time, she always sends over a bunch of pictures and will let me know of anything that happens during her walk good and bad! She is a vet tech so she is very knowledgeable on many things! Taught me how to spot a heat stroke and what do do if it gets to that. She is also suuuuper sweet with Hank! I would 100% recommend her and that is why I have her booked each week!”

About: I’ve had experience taking care of dogs as far back as I can remember because I’ve always had a dog. Not only that, but other family and friends have relied on me to care of their pets when out of town or when needed. I have experience with small dogs as well as taking care of my best friends 90 lb german shepherd- so big dogs don’t intimidate me. When I moved to texas, I had to leave my family dog back home, so I can’t wait to come take care of and play with your furry child!! I work remote and it’s very flexible, so I have a lot of moments in the day where I’m able to take breaks and come walk/take care of your dog! I have a dog park at my apartment complex as well as a brand new dog park that just opened up a block from me. I also don’t mind walking them or taking them to the nearest park to where you live.
“Darius was kind and has great energy. My dog took to him pretty instantly and let him pet all over her. He responded really quickly to my initial message requesting a walk and was able to do a meet and greet the very next day. He sent lots of pics and listened attentively when I explained all this Amber(my dog) to him.”

“Ariana did an amazing job. She succeeded expectations while tasked with watching two dogs that didn't know her for over a week. She was very timely with responses and all reporting. She also adapted well and got the dogs to warm up to her very quickly.”

“Ynes did a wonderful job with Winnie! She is reliable, flexible, and communicates promptly and clearly. Winnie is a shy girl and Ynes was patient and consistent in winning her trust. I would highly recommend Ynes for your pet care needs!”
“Needed someone to walk my fur baby urgently & Kayla was absolutely perfect. She responded quickly, communicating was effortless & Kane loved her! He can’t wait to see you again! Thanks again!”

About: Hi there! My name is Alexis, and I’m a Baylor University graduate with a lifelong love for animals. I’ve fostered and cared for multiple cats at once, including bottle-feeding kittens and caring for animals with different needs and personalities. I also have cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to have someone reliable and attentive caring for your pets. I’m currently based in Houston and offer dog walking. Whether your dog needs a long walk, some extra exercise, or just a little outdoor time and attention during the day, I’m patient, responsible, and happy to follow their normal routine. I’d love to help make sure your pup gets the exercise, attention, and care they need! I’m used to having pet care built into my daily routine. My partner and I regularly wake up early to walk our dog before starting the day, and we also take evening walks. I’m comfortable with early mornings, evening walks, and keeping pets on a consistent schedule. I prioritize keeping pets safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow all owner instructions carefully, pay attention to each pet’s behavior and needs, and provide consistent updates and clear communication so owners can feel comfortable while their pet is in my care.
“I contacted so many sitters and Lee was the only one able to make time and be available last minute. Took my 2 doggies for a walk and they loved it! Easy communication and quick to respond. Thanks Lee!!”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Gari was truly the most phenomenal dog walker I could have ever asked for! From start to finish, they went above and beyond in every possible way. They were always timely, reliable, communicative, and incredibly thoughtful. Gari left detailed notes and updates that gave me so much peace of mind and made it clear just how much care and attention they gave to my dog. You can genuinely tell that Gari loves what they do and truly cares about the animals in their care. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail were unmatched. I honestly cannot say enough great things about my experience — Gari is hands down one of the best dog walkers I have ever had! If you’re looking for someone dependable, attentive, caring, and willing to go the extra mile, I cannot recommend Gari enough. My experience was absolutely amazing, and I would trust them with my dog again without hesitation. Thank you, Gari, for being so incredible!

Ana did AMAZING with my 10 year old lab. He’s reactive and can be overwhelming when you first meet him, but she took her time to allow him to feel her out and the rest of his walks went smoothly. She walked him 3x a day while I was out of town and was always prompt and on time every walk. Ana went above and beyond making sure he was set once she brought him back and she was very quick responsive when reaching out. I will be using her again & you should too! 10/10 service for sure.

Morgan is great! She really helps me out by coming over to play with my dog / take him for a walk so I don’t have to rush home from work. She communicates well and my dog really likes her. I know it’s a good day because he’s hard asleep on his bed when I get home!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
