About: I’ve been a dedicated dog lover for over 27 years, starting with my first pup, Mystic, a Chow Mix/German Shepherd. Since then, I’ve raised and cared for multiple dogs, including Paco (Husky mix), Kiko, Lisha, Marley, and their mom, Sasha. From playful puppies to loving seniors, I’ve experienced it all and know how to handle a variety of needs with care and patience. Dogs bring so much joy, and I can’t wait to give yours the same love and attention! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which means plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. My dog, Cloud, keeps me on an early-riser schedule, and I always have an eye on the pups in my care. During the week I'm mostly a homebody, and on weekends I enjoy walks at Buffalo Bayou Park. My centrally located Houston apartment is a great option for both local pet parents and visitors needing reliable care for their dogs. 🐾 Please note: For weekday drop-in visits/walks, I am only available before 10am and after 7pm. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. My apartment is dog-proofed and designed with pets in mind, featuring plenty of open space, dog beds, toys, enrichment puzzles, and separate areas that can be created with baby gates if needed. I have access to a fenced dog park within my community, a courtyard for quick potty breaks, and Buffalo Bayou Park nearby for walks. For added peace of mind, the nearest emergency veterinary hospital is less than half a mile away, and I am familiar with the canine Heimlich maneuver. I strive to maintain your dog's normal routine, so I encourage pet parents to share feeding schedules, treat limits, and any special care instructions to ensure a seamless, stress-free stay.
“Ana is amazing with my boy Beaux! She takes the cutest photos, sends updates each time, and is so kind! I 110% recommend her! Very reliable and I know Beaux enjoys his time with her!”

“Bailee is amazing! We do twice a week walks. Very professional. Communicates well. I have very shy dogs and they warmed up to her quickly. She thinks ahead and goes above and beyond! Brings inside my deliveries and leaves towels down when the dogs get wet from the rain. She is wonderful and I greatly appreciate her care. 10/10!”

“Cameron was great! Arrived on time to take my boy out, took great pictures, and even stayed a little bit to play with him since he didn't walk the whole time! Would hire her again to walk my dog anytime!”

“I needed temporary help taking 3 dogs on morning walks, especially early since one of them was a senior dog! Luckily, I found Christina! Her price was affordable and service was excellent! She was reliable, always punctual and even aaccommodated to my slight change of time for the senior dog. Don't hesitate to book her to take care of your fur baby! Thank you Christina! I couldn't have made it through those 3 weeks without your help!”
“Allison is such a blessing to me and my little dog! She is trustworthy and responsive. I have peace of mind when I’m at work knowing my dog is being walked and cared for by Alison.”

About: 🏡I live house with a fenced front yard in EaDo. 🫶🏼I’ve been a dog mom my entire adult life 16+yrs 🐾I have (3) babies of my own: Gia and Grizzly - littermates, and Blondie. 👱🏻♀️🐱 I’m roommates w my cousin Jackeline and her cat Stormy, so yes... cats are welcome here too! ◡̈ 🩵I'm an active foster for Heart of the Underdog, a Houston-based, no-kill rescue. I occasionally volunteer at the Houston Humane Society, and throughout college I spent weekends walking dogs for Friends for Life. Caring for animals has been a constant thread throughout my adult life, not an occasional thing. ☺️I'm the happiest version of myself when I'm surrounded by animals and helping them have a better quality of life. This isn't just a side gig for me, it's genuinely my happy place. 🏡🫶🏼🐾 I'm at home throughout the week and most weekends. Im a homebody which allows me to give real time and attention, (not just check-ins), to all the pets in my care. 🛋️ My own dogs free-roam at home, and yours can to, as needed and with safety in mind. 🐕🦺🐕🐩 Through my years of fostering, I’ve become experienced at managing a multi-dog household safely, including around food and toy guarding situations. I've worked with reactive dogs, puppies, and pregnant mamas...and I've even delivered a litter of puppies in my home. I've also done hands-on training and confidence-building work with fosters who needed extra patience and support. I'm very tuned in to dog body language and behavior. I pay attention to what a dog is telling me, and I adjust my approach based on what they actually need. My own pups range from 60–90 lbs, so small and large breeds are welcome here.

“Alana is an ABSOLUTE GEM! She shows up, on time, every time and communicates extremely well. We, unfortunately, moved far away and won’t be able to use her services and we are deeply saddened by this. She was, by far, the best experience for our fur babies and will be missed!”

“Maliya was great with Tiger. She arrived early at my request and wore my pup out! Such a lifesaver for me. My daughter is running a fever and I had no time to walk my dog so I made a last minute request and she was came to the rescue. Thank you so much!”

“Sama is an absolutely fantastic pet sitter! She is incredibly reliable, always on time, and communicates regularly with updates, which gives me great peace of mind. My dog adores her, and it’s clear she has a natural way with animals. She also handles all pets with care and professionalism. I highly recommend Sama to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving caregiver for their pets!”
About: I have cared for and built connections with a variety of dogs throughout my life, whether through the dogs I grew up with or while volunteering at animal shelters. I was also involved with Guide Dogs for the Blind, where I assisted in training and caring for dogs that would support individuals who are blind or disabled. As an active individual, I enjoy going on walks or runs with furry friends while ensuring they remain safe, comfortable, and hydrated along the way. ••• I am also comfortable administering medications and providing attentive care tailored to your pet’s individual needs. ••• Above all, creating meaningful pawships and providing a loving, dependable environment for your furry friend would truly bring me joy. I do work in medicine (Certified Pharmacy Technician) while being an engineering student full-time. However, I can always accommodate by communicating a schedule that is beneficial for you & your furry friend! I will gladly send you updates with pictures and or videos regarding your furry friend. Morgan is great! She really helps me out by coming over to play with my dog / take him for a walk so I don’t have to rush home from work. She communicates well and my dog really likes her. I know it’s a good day because he’s hard asleep on his bed when I get home!

Gari was absolutely incredible with our senior dog. He is extremely shy and nervous and has several eating issues that require special care and patience. Gari went above and beyond to ensure he was eating, drinking, and happy. Gari is extremely communicative and genuinely cares about your pet. Will absolutely book again!

Darius was kind and has great energy. My dog took to him pretty instantly and let him pet all over her. He responded really quickly to my initial message requesting a walk and was able to do a meet and greet the very next day. He sent lots of pics and listened attentively when I explained all this Amber(my dog) to him.

Brittany's so awesome! She helped me last minute and walked my baby Nola. She was so sweet to also help me out. Brittany went above and beyond to make sure she was well taken care of. She was great with communication and details, even helped me out with everything because I waa having trouble booking . I absolutely recommend her!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
