About: I often walk and feed my sisters' dogs for them. One is old, grumpy and a very picky eater but truly a sweetheart. The other is very energetic, anxious and needy but also a lovebug and a smarty pants. I can handle any pet personality and am very meticulous about following directions. I promise to treat your pet like family! I have a very flexible schedule and am always ready to help you out with your pets, even on short notice! I'm currently a stay at home mom looking to fill my spare time by caring for your pets like they're my own! I provide drop in visits. I will feed, freshen water, scoop litter, and play with your pet. I love long walks. I'll even water plants and bring in mail. Just let me know what you and your fur babies need!
“Ariel is amazing! My pups absolutely love her and look forward to their weekly walks. She’s reliable, professional, and genuinely cares about the dogs. I recently adopted a cat and even she warmed up to Ariel the first time meeting her. Highly recommended for your pet’s needs.”

“Dominique was wonderful with our pups. She was timely. She communicated daily. She adjusted our schedule as needed. And most importantly our dogs were happy with a walk and some attention everyday that we were gone. Thank you so much!”

“My original dog sitting plans fell through, so I hopped on this app with the hopes of finding someone on short notice. I am so thankful Giselle responded to me! She was kind, easy to communicate with, and followed all of my instructions. I came home to a very happy pup!”

About: Hi, I’m Ash! I’m a lifelong animal lover with a cozy, pet-friendly home and six pets of my own. Your dog will be welcomed as part of the pack and cared for with plenty of attention, enrichment, walks, playtime, and cuddles. I’ve also completed classes in dog behavior and training, which helps me understand each pet’s unique personality, needs, routines, and quirks. I’m detail-oriented, safety-minded, and committed to making every stay comfortable, happy, and stress-free. I carry pet-care insurance through PCI and am conveniently located about 15 minutes from Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), making drop-offs and pickups easy for travelers. I’m fortunate to provide full-time, attentive pet care from home. As a natural homebody, I enjoy gardening, baking, making homemade soaps, and, most of all, spending time with my kids and pets. When appropriate for each dog, I love taking outings and hikes at parks around Houston. I have a passenger van that can safely accommodate multiple pets, complete with dog seat belts for secure transportation. For dogs who are not comfortable with walks or may need a calmer environment, I provide plenty of supervised playtime, enrichment, and fresh-air fun in our home and yard. My fully fenced backyard is a dedicated dog play space with fun enrichment activities, including a pool, splash pad, balance equipment, and more. I’m always making thoughtful upgrades to keep the space engaging and enjoyable. Inside, I provide toys, lick and sniff mats, treat puzzles, and a variety of kennel sizes to help pets stay comfortable and mentally stimulated. Safety is always my priority. During brief errands, dogs are safely kenneled unless they are known to be comfortable and trustworthy outside of a crate. Pets are also fed separately or in their kennels to support calm, safe mealtimes and help prevent food-related conflicts. Please let me know in advance if your dog is not crate trained so we can discuss the best arrangement for their stay.
“I had such a great experience with her! She was reliable, always on time, and took such good care of Venus. She kept me updated, sent me pictures, and made me feel completely comfortable knowing Venus was in good hands while I was away. She was very sweet, responsible, and professional. I’m extremely happy with her service and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their dog. I’ll definitely book with her again! ❤️”

I will be caretaking in the clients' homes.Whether I am house-sitting or pet-sitting, I can assure to follow requests, be invested in seamless check-ins, and be dedicated to taking them out to experience nature and fresh air. “I’m so happy I found Remy! It’s clear that she has a lot of experience and she handled my large reactive dog very well. She is trustworthy, professional and very responsive, a true animal lover. 10/10!”

“Our dog adores Sara! He is attached to her more than I've seen him respond to anyone. She's always prompt and communicative, friendly, and gracious. We have her booked every weekend indefinitely.”
About: I’ve taken care of pets on and off for a while and absolutely love how each one has their own personality and traits! I can’t wait to meet more sweeties. I stay in Houston most of the year and have work majority of the day Fri-Sat but my availability is pretty flexible. Since I have pretty open availability just ask if a day/time works and I’m sure I can make it happen! I always try my best to make your pets feel comfortable while I’m in your home. After all it’s their comfort place not mine. I’ll always be ready with treats and pets :)

“Morgan is great! She really helps me out by coming over to play with my dog / take him for a walk so I don’t have to rush home from work. She communicates well and my dog really likes her. I know it’s a good day because he’s hard asleep on his bed when I get home!”

About: I have fostered dogs and cared for both dogs and cats my entire life, and I genuinely enjoy helping people who need support with their furry sidekick while they are away. I am a pet parent myself to an anxious rescue puppy, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your animal. I have experience with reactive dogs, anxious dogs, and all kinds of rescue backgrounds. I have also had cats, so I am familiar with every temperament and never take anything personally. I previously cared for a senior dog who needed daily medication, so I am comfortable and experienced giving medications to both cats and dogs. I have fostered puppies and adult dogs as well, so I can easily handle any medication or special requests. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. I’m currently a doctoral student and do most work from home so my schedule is very open and flexible. I am available everyday of the week and open schedule for timing. I do not have a backyard, however I live next to Midtown park that has a dog park that very few dogs attend and so your furry friend will have many opportunities to run around! I do have one anxious dog that will be kept away from your pet if needed. However, your pet will have access to the 2 bedroom apartment and their own room to sleep in.
About: I’ve had pets growing up and have been responsible for pet sitting for friends and family recently. I want to incorporate spending more time with animals. I work Monday through Friday but I am available to pet sit and house sit every weekend. I incorporate the pets routines into my schedule as needed. I try to make new pets as comfortable as possible when they are visiting. When at a client’s home I do my best to be respectful of the home and of the pet. I clean up as necessary and love to play with them.
“This was the first time I left my dog Bella with someone outside my home, and I couldn't be happier with how it went. From the start, the sitter was kind, attentive, and professional. She took the time to get to know Bella, respected her routines, and kept me updated with photos and messages throughout the stay. Bella returned home calm, happy, and, without a doubt, very well cared for. It was clear she'd been in a safe and loving environment. Emma made the experience natural and stress-free. I highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again in the future. Thank you so much for taking such good care of Bella! 🐶❤️”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
