Hi there! I’m a big animal lover and active volunteer at my local animal shelter and routinely foster dogs in need. I have experience providing medication to dogs of all sizes and modifying schedules based on each dog’s needs. I’ve owned dogs ranging anywhere from 10 pounds to 70 pounds, and am confident that I can provide the support your dog needs. I can’t wait to meet your fur baby!

My oldest dog is almost 15, so I’ve seen a lot of pet sitters over the years 😅 There are people who do the job well… and then there are people like Maia, who just get it. She understands that these aren’t just pets, they’re your babies, your family, and sometimes basically your whole world. And that makes such a huge difference. Her communication is also amazing. She’s super proactive, keeps you updated, and you never have to sit there wondering. You just know your babies are taken care of, and that kind of peace of mind is priceless. I would recommend Maia to anyone who wants not only a great sitter, but someone who genuinely cares and makes the whole experience completely stress-free. We’re going to miss her! 💜

Schedule
I’m currently working part time, meaning I have plenty of time to adjust to varying schedules and last minute requests! I also live in a central part of Houston, making my commute quick and accessible to most places.

Safety, trust & environment
If I am house sitting or providing a drop in service to your home, I ensure that no interactions are made with other dogs or animals outside the home, as I want to ensure the safety of your pets first and foremost! I also make sure to read your dog’s body language, and remove them from any situations that may be causing them distress (neighborhood dogs they do not like, loud sounds that startle them, etc).

I ensure that all walks are enriching and physically stimulating! If your dog is more of the inside type, I can provide them treat puzzles and play with them as a form of enrichment as well.
