I have some experience with basic obedience and basic agility training for dogs. I probably can even teach your cat to sit! About: As a child I grew up with a house full of pets from day one: 4 dogs at any time, a cat, birds, reptiles and more. I have always been around and loved animals. As an adult I have cared for my larger akita-husky mix as an elderly dog until she passed at 14 years old in 2024. I have raised my current soul-dog, Oaklyn, from puppyhood. I work from home so I often pet-sit for neighbors and friends including drop-in visits and walks with tiny puppies through elderly dogs. I work from home and for myself, so I am in complete control of my schedule. I am always looking for an excuse to leave my desk and spend a little time outside. I live in an accessible part of the city, so taking a quick drive out to homes in Midtown, Montrose, Downtown, or The Heights is as easy addition to my day. I am very protective over my own dog on walks as she can be a bit anxious so I always have her in a secure harness, do not approach strangers (humans or other dogs) on the street, and carry pepper spray for self defense. That said, I will follow whatever instructions you give me! I do not give dogs people food, but am always happy to give them any treats you set out for them. You will always have access to me for regular text and photo updates of your pets!

About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life, but my cat Mabel has been my priority for the past four years. I love all cats and dogs, no matter the size or breed, and I can ensure that your furry friend will be in a well cared after environment. I am currently working only a few short hours during the week so I have plenty of time to hang out with your best friend. I would be available both morning and nights to make sure that they’re able to go outside and play. I treat all animals with kindness and respect. My cat Mabel lives in a very clean well taking care of household. I also live about two minutes away from a park where I can take dogs to run around and play.

About: My animal care experience and goals are grounded in the black feminist belief that the wellbeing of all beings and the Earth are intrinsically linked. I practice this value of care by taking time with animals and plants of all variety since I was a child. As a kid growing up in Louisiana, I gave care to a turtle, bird, dog, fish, and crawfish! As an adult, I’ve supported my friends in caregiving for their cats and well as co-loving the cat who takes care of our property- Granny Smith Kiwi. I have completely open availability other than a summer trip from July 27 to August 3. I am mobile and can care for your babies on site or bring them other for boarding in my plant-filled home. I reside in a beautiful apartment, but am able to host small to large dogs, take them on walks, and take them on adventures to the play area across the street, I’m also conveniently located near the Buffalo bayou dog park! I have more than 30 years of experience caring for dog, cats, and exotic animals. I also have experience in providing care for senior and special needs pets. My availability is flexible and I can usually work around times that are best to accommodate your busy life schedule, if something is to come up and plans change; I am more than happy to work with you on a refund or extended stays. Being a pet parent myself, taking care of pets naturally fit into my schedule especially since I work from home. Unless your pet requires their food at specific times, they will follow the same schedule feeding and care (which is always in plenty) with my own pet. I have no problem crating your animal if there are used to having their own safe space. I also have a wonderfully sunny balcony that they are welcomed to hang out on under supervision. If spending the night, they are welcome to sleep in the room so they aren’t lonely!
