“Maria was great! Very helpful and communicative. The pups were very comfortable & safe with her. She had flexible availability and was very thorough. She was very knowledgable and caring. Would definitely use her again!”

About: I have always had some type of animal present in my home growing up as a kid! My passion for animals led me to foster a few times and I loved every bit. I actually just moved here! I was thrilled to find out that this state/area was dog-friendly! I wake up early in the mornings and incorporate walks into my day-to-day life and I am able to assist emergency needs. I have a dog park in my neighborhood and it’s pretty walkable! Most to all dogs needs some form of exercise and I don’t mind a good hike or a walk in a bigger park! So much scenery to be seen! I am paranoid when it comes to some things so I would ask a ton of questions to make sure that I as the caretaker would be at ease and of course the owner and companion.
“Dylan was excellent! Came over to do a meet and greet the next day and came over every day to walk my dog for two weeks. I would highly recommend.”

“Nancy is great. Extremy professional. Excellent communication and service. Nancy clearly takes her care for your pet very seriously. We look forward to working with her in the future.”

“October marks right around a straight 18 mos of 2X/week walks for my dog Pretzel, with Jessica. When I’m home, I know Jessica has arrived (ALWAYS on time) because I hear continuous happy barks of greeting - and anticipation of a great walk - from Pretzel. The route always varies, covering 2 miles and lots of interesting smells & places! I have hesitated to give the deserved 5 stars with ongoing reviews every week because I don’t want to lose out on Jessica’s availability (my bad); but fair is fair: she’s simply great! She’s incredibly trustworthy; always responsive to inquiries; a super human giving 18 mos of consistent super service - and I get a healthier happy happy doggie on the days I’m most busy!”

“Janet is a lifesaver! We had a lot going on all at once and were in need of some very short notice help walking our energetic dog. Janet responded promptly to my request and was available for booking the very next day. She walked our pup two days in a row and went above and beyond to ensure he had some one-on-one attention and got some good exercise in. She was responsive, thoughtful and kind in all interactions. Thank you Janet!”

“Sarah took such a weight off of leaving our babies at home while we were out of state. She really went above and beyond caring for our two dogs. Our older dog had paw injuries and was in great shape under her care in no time, our puppy absolutely loved her and had a blast! She puts love into her time with your pups. I would recommend her above everyone else and will absolutely reach out again if we leave for a while again. ☺️ She is amazing!”

“Breanna is great with my skittish chihuahuas. She’s communicative, punctual and was super patient as they got used to her. I plan to book Breanna for future walks and would recommend her to others.”

“Amazing! Jerica absolutely loves the critters with all her heart you can genuinely tell she cares about their well being. She went above and beyond to make sure they were happy and to keep me up to date on their walks. She also takes so many great pictures. Love her!”

“Sarah helped out last minute and we're so appreciative! Sarah is super communicative, friendly, and reliable. We will definitely rebook with her in the future 😊”

“Dixie agreed to a last minute booking to walk Winston for a few days. He can be a bit nervous around new people, but he warmed up right away. Dixie was reliable and asked questions to make sure she was prepared for any quirks Winston might have on walks I was so relieved to know he was taken care of while I was away from home. I would highly recommend Dixie!”

“Tess was incredible! She took such good care of our dogs and was attentive to their needs going way above and beyond for us. She even got them a game to play with and sent the cutest pics. I kno they were well taken care of and happy to see her every time! I will absolutely book with her again! Such a comfort to know our pups are in good hands.”

“Austin was great with walking my golden retriever while I was out of town for 10 days. I would not hesitate to use him again. Thanks Austin. RC”

“Mackenzie was so awesome! She was so sweet to my pup and really took care of him. She was prompt on his walking schedule, and she gave excellent updates on every walk. I was so happy every time she shared what they did on his walks, which eased my mind greatly. I will definitely rebook with Mackenzie in the future, she was great!”

About: I’ve been hands-on with dogs since I was 10, volunteering with animal shelters everywhere from Aruba to Chicago and working in dog daycares, doing walks, daily care, and all the real-life dog stuff. I currently volunteer with a wolfdog sanctuary, so big dogs, shy souls, seniors, and high-energy goofballs don’t faze me. I’m deeply empathetic by nature and truly believe dogs are my soul animal. Every dog is unique and deserves care that meets them where they are. I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your dog in someone else’s hands, and I take that responsibility seriously! I offer calm, patient care and consistent updates for peace of mind. I also love sending photos, because I know how much those mean to me when I'm away from my dogs! I’m a stay-at-home mom with flexible availability all days of the week/end With my son heading to daycare, my schedule has opened up and allows me to give your dog focused, unrushed care (and all the pets!). I care for pets the way I’d want someone to care for my own. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and comfort level, then adjust my approach to match. Whether I’m in my home or yours, I focus on calm energy, safety, and consistency. I follow feeding, walking, and medication instructions carefully, keep environments clean and low-stress, and always prioritize your dog’s emotional well-being alongside their physical care. I also provide thoughtful updates and photos so you can feel connected and at ease while you’re away!
About: I’ve had pets of my own for 15 + years. I am madly in love with cats and dogs but currently cannot have any of our own. This means that I have lots of love to give your fur baby! I work part-time as a yoga instructor and housekeeper, so I have lots of little pockets of time in my day that’s I’d love to fill with dog walks/playtime or Kitty care. When caring for pets in their own home i familiarize myself with the locations of their walking supplies, food and water status (fresh water always!), toys, and learn their favorite places to perch, vibe, or hide.
“Daniel has been wonderful for Hobie! He goes above and beyond and has been a bright spot during a stressful relocation. I was nervous about bringing my sometimes anxious dog to a new place but Daniel has made it so that Hobie is now living his best life and has a new bestie!!! Highly recommend!”
About: Hi, I'm Dan! My best buddy Yama was born in January of 2019, he is now a seven year old good boy. I am a former Army infantry medic and am attending graduate school remotely from my house. I grew up on a farm in Oregon where I was surrounded with all sorts of animals from a young age. I love all animals, especially dogs. My style is fairly permissive, especially with other people's dogs, but I am clear on boundaries, redirect when needed, and give lots of love and positive energy. I don't buy into the dominance theory training methodology and am a big fan of Karen Pryor's training methods. I am happy to answer any questions you have on my philosophy. I live and work at home, so we do daily walks, play time in the backyard, mental enrichment activities, and low active / layabout sessions. I work from home full-time, so your dog is never left alone for long and always has eyes on them throughout the day. My home has a securely fenced yard, and I take introductions between dogs slowly and intentionally, reading body language carefully before giving anyone free run of the space. My seven year old dog Yama is a steady, positive presence who helps visiting dogs settle in. I use positive reinforcement exclusively because a dog that feels safe and understood is a dog that behaves safely. If anything ever seems off medically or behaviorally, I'll contact you promptly - that being said, that hasn't ever happened.
“Veronica is an amazing dog Walker she takes care of my dogs so well. I don't worry about her while I'm at work she lets me know when she's gone to the bathroom she sends me pictures and I get a map it's just a wonderful service that she provides.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Colorado Springs
She is absolutely wonderful with Snow. I really appreciate how she takes the time to get to know her—paying attention to the little details, allowing her to pause, explore, and enjoy her surroundings rather than simply completing a walk. She is attentive to Snow’s individual needs and has built a genuine relationship with her. I feel very comfortable knowing Snow is in such caring and thoughtful hands.

Tess is the best out there. I can always count on her to not only walk my dog, but to go out of her way to ensure he gets enrichment with puzzles/snuffle pad time even when I do not ask. She puts so much extra care and time into what she does. I can relax and rest easy knowing my pups in good hands when I have to travel. 🤍

I couldn't dream up a more impressive dog walker than Jessica. She's prompt, she wrote the best post-walk messages to update us while we were out of town, and our dog absolutely fell in love with her. We are so so glad we were able to have her take our pup around while we were gone, it was the highlight of his day when she would come pick him up. She's super easy to work with, professional, and amazing with our giant dog. Highly recommend.

HaNui showed up on time and communicated with me throughout our booking process. She even contacted me about the extreme heat during the day and thoughtfully suggested walking Piper when it was a little cooler. HaNui is very good with dogs and Piper came home happy and calm. I highly recommend HaNui if you are looking for a responsible dog loving caregiver.

Kathryn was absolutely amazing with my dog! I was scrambling at the last second to find someone to help, and she was so so so kind. She was communicative, kind, and clearly cared so much about making sure he was comfortable and happy. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. She went above and beyond, and I could tell my pup loved her. My pup is usually pretty anxious around new people but oh my gosh he loved Kathryn. I would 100% book with her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
