“Janet has been so great with Bear! She is flexible and responsive and has been happy to help us out even on short notice. Bear loves her! Thank you Janet!”

About: I have hands-on experience working with dogs in both training and care environments, including assisting with board-and-train programs under a professional trainer. This work gave me exposure to structured obedience training, leash handling, and managing dogs with a wide range of temperaments and energy levels. I have also worked with higher-drive dogs, including bitesport and working-line dogs, where clear communication, calm handling, and consistency are essential. This experience taught me how important structure, patience, and reading a dog’s body language are in building trust and maintaining safety. In addition to training environments, I have experience with everyday dog care such as walking, feeding, basic obedience reinforcement, and maintaining routines that help dogs feel secure and balanced while their owners are away. My focus is always on keeping dogs safe, comfortable, and understood while providing owners with reliable, attentive care. Pet care is a priority in my weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to take on morning, midday, and evening visits as needed. I plan my days around bookings so I can be consistent, reliable, and fully present for each pet in my care. I prioritize keeping pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine while in their home environment. I follow all owner instructions closely, including feeding, medication, and care preferences. For drop-ins, I ensure pets are cared for, have fresh water, bathroom breaks, and attention before leaving. For walks, I focus on safe leash handling, awareness of surroundings, and adjusting the walk to the dog’s needs and energy level. I treat every home with respect and understand the importance of trust when caring for someone’s pet.

About: Growing up on a small farm in MA, I was always busy helping out my parents with our 2 dogs, 6 cats, 30+ chickens and 7 goats! I have years of animal caretaking experience with dogs and cats, and love connecting with and learning about their personalities! I am a very nurturing person as the oldest of five siblings, and I feel most like myself when I’m with animals and in nature. My schedule is flexible although I tend to be working most weekdays (9am-3pm) and need notice for longer stays! Beyond that, and I have ample time to walk your dogs in my neighborhood, take them to the park, or to come by and hang with your cats and/or other pets at your houses! I have a smaller apartment area where your pets can be cared for safely indoors that does not have an outdoor yard space but is very close by to parks and green spaces. At your home, I am comfortable utilizing crates or other toys and possible training tools to ensure wellbeing of your animals, and adhere to your owner pet care preferences.
About: With 20 years of hands-on pet care, I bring confidence, compassion, and a deep-rooted love for animals of all kinds. Fearless with dogs, unshakable with cats. Animal welfare is my only current commitment as I transition from full-time life to remote work and volunteering for local shelters. I’m extremely flexible, but the more notice the better. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I’m highly attuned to animal body language, avoid pet meetups unless requested by the owner, and have experience with beginner-friendly training techniques and resources.
“Austin was great with walking my golden retriever while I was out of town for 10 days. I would not hesitate to use him again. Thanks Austin. RC”

“Dixie was attentive and caring towards Levi. She asked tons of questions to make sure she gave him the best care possible. I plan on using her any time I need help watching my dog!”

About: Hi, I'm Dan! My best buddy Yama was born in January of 2019, he is now a seven year old good boy. I am a former Army infantry medic and am attending graduate school remotely from my house. I grew up on a farm in Oregon where I was surrounded with all sorts of animals from a young age. I love all animals, especially dogs. My style is fairly permissive, especially with other people's dogs, but I am clear on boundaries, redirect when needed, and give lots of love and positive energy. I don't buy into the dominance theory training methodology and am a big fan of Karen Pryor's training methods. I am happy to answer any questions you have on my philosophy. I live and work at home, so we do daily walks, play time in the backyard, mental enrichment activities, and low active / layabout sessions. I work from home full-time, so your dog is never left alone for long and always has eyes on them throughout the day. My home has a securely fenced yard, and I take introductions between dogs slowly and intentionally, reading body language carefully before giving anyone free run of the space. My seven year old dog Yama is a steady, positive presence who helps visiting dogs settle in. I use positive reinforcement exclusively because a dog that feels safe and understood is a dog that behaves safely. If anything ever seems off medically or behaviorally, I'll contact you promptly - that being said, that hasn't ever happened.
“I cannot recommend her enough! She truly went above and beyond while watching our dogs during an extended time away. From the moment we left, she made us feel completely at ease knowing our pets were being loved and cared for like her own. She kept us updated, gave them so much attention, and created the best possible environment for them while we were gone. On top of that, she even handled a huge mess without hesitation, which says so much about her kindness, patience, and dedication. Coming home to happy, well-cared-for pets gave us so much peace of mind. We are beyond grateful and would trust her again in a heartbeat!”

“Edyn is so great with our senior boy. We appreciate that she pays attention to his level of enthusiasm for the walk, which can definitely vary by the weather and time of day.”

Kathryn was absolutely amazing with my dog! I was scrambling at the last second to find someone to help, and she was so so so kind. She was communicative, kind, and clearly cared so much about making sure he was comfortable and happy. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. She went above and beyond, and I could tell my pup loved her. My pup is usually pretty anxious around new people but oh my gosh he loved Kathryn. I would 100% book with her again.

We are anxious dog owners who needed someone to help with our pup while we are here from out of state. We worry a lot about our dog’s happiness and safety. It was a blessing and a joy to meet Jessica! She was so amazing to work with- she responded quickly and communicated well. She was amazing at taking notes and clarifying what we wanted for our dog. She did a visit before her appointment to meet us and our dog. She gave detailed notes about her visit and included pictures. It was the best experience that exceeded all our expectations. I would strongly recommend to her others!

Summer has been so amazing with Henry!! I recently went back into the office for work and Summer has been helping transition Henry to being home alone for the day by walking him a few times a week. She takes him on long walks and makes sure he’s well loved and happy before she leaves. Henry has transitioned beautifully to the new schedule thanks to Summer!! She always sends us lots of cute pictures of Henry too!

Ashley was absolutely amazing with Koda! She was able to come over and meet him which went so well due to her amazing ability to understand dogs and let him come to her and sniff her out. She always kept me updated and provided such great feedback. Would absolutely book her over and over again!!
