“Megan was amazing & so caring with our dog Gus! I feel so much better knowing that he is in good hands. We will definitely be booking her again for more pet care.”

About: I have always had a dog by my side growing up. I volunteered at my local animal shelter in high school, and I have always loved to pet sit for family and friends whenever possible. I am a full time graduate student, with classes only Tuesday-Thursday, leaving me plenty of time to care for your pets during the rest of the week! I will make sure the environment is safe when walking pets, ensuring they won’t be injured from objects on the ground or other animals. I will ensure the terrain is also not too hot or cold for their feet. I will also not let them overdo it outside!
“Heather was great with my 6 month old lab puppy! She made sure she got enough exercise and play time, and took good care to make sure she did not overheat. She was very communicative and sent great pictures and updates during my puppy’s walks. She was very understanding when my instructions changed a few times. I will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Bethany and her family have been wonderful with us and taking care of our puppy. They are extremely flexible and understanding with our hectic last minute changes. I can’t thank them enough knowing my little man is taken care of while I am at work. Highly recommend if you are looking for a reliable dog walker.”

“Nancy is great. Extremy professional. Excellent communication and service. Nancy clearly takes her care for your pet very seriously. We look forward to working with her in the future.”

About: I enjoy dogs more than people. When I used to live on Guam, there was a period i was watching 4 dogs, 2 of which were mine. One happened to be a pit bull, and another happened to be rottweiler. The other 2 were medium sized. Now, that I am no longer in Guam I have 3 dogs that me and my wife take care of. I have my 2 from Guam. I havent been around all types of dogs, but I really enjoy them all. I find their different personalities and their energy levels interesting. I enjoy walking my dogs, so I think it would be fun to walk other peoples dogs. When I’m not working and time permits, i like taking my pups hiking in the mountains with me. Thank you for checking out my profile ! I walk my three girls at least five days a week. And when I have a day off, i love taking them into the mountains. Each dog is different. Different pup parents have different plans for their babies, so their rules come first. But if permitted, i would love to share the same trails I explore with our four legged partners.
“Dylan was excellent! Came over to do a meet and greet the next day and came over every day to walk my dog for two weeks. I would highly recommend.”

About: Ive taken care of friends and families pets since high school years. I used to pet sit on a regular basis up until I moved to another state. Im currently unemployed and going to school online. If I'm not at home, I'm usually out hiking or sight seeing with my dog. We usually like to go to dog parks or try to go up in the mountains. I have a fenced in yard and my own dog who's well trained and friendly to all animals. Im always out and about going on small or long walks with my dog.
“We are so thankful for Dixie and helping us why we were out of town!! She did a great job helping give our pup exercise, and aid my grandparents while they were dog sitting!! She is very kind and even walked her in extremely cold weather!! Thank you Dixie for making sure pepper got her energy out while we were away!!”

“Mackenzie was great! This was first time I had to leave my dog home alone while I was on a trip and she took such good care of her. I got lots of pictures and she kept me up-to-date with any minor tummy aches that Mira had and followed instructions to help make her feel better. I will definitely use her again.”

About: My house was the "Animal House" growing up. Dogs of all sizes, cats, parrots, turtles, fishtanks, snakes, you name it, we had it. Waking up and going through the process or getting everyone food and water, meds, clean sanitary areas, the endless laundry of cat beds and dog blankets, it was all a part of my daily routine from the moment I could remember. I was always the first to volunteer to care for others pets, mostly because it was an excuse to enjoy their pet and make a new friend! I'm currently working about 30hrs a week, but I'm looking to open up my schedule to accommodate more time with animals as I can. I much prefer pets to people, and I would much rather spend my time helping animals! I do not offer services within my home currently due to the age and temperament of my senior cat. Within a client's home, of course their routine rules! If a dog is skeptical about kenneling, walking, etc., everything comes at their pace. Rushing and getting worked up won't help anyone, and patience and soft energy will help foster a much more cooperative relationship with animals of any kind. I am nervous any time I have to leave my cats in someone's care, and I want every pet to be treated the way I would want someone to treat my cats!

About: With 5 years of dog boarding experience, I welcome dogs of any size and any needs into my home — from small breeds to large, energetic pups to gentle seniors, and dogs with special routines or extra care requirements. I'm attentive to each dog's individual needs, whether that means specific feeding schedules, medications, mobility considerations, or just knowing how much play versus rest they like. Your dog will get consistent, personalized care, a safe environment, and plenty of attention while you're away — I treat every dog boarding with me like a member of the family. I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I'm home all day for belly scratches, potty breaks and walks. This means your dog will get LOTS of attention. I have a fenced yard and a very happy loving 4 year old Golden Retriever who is always happy to meet new friends and show them around. We do have three children so its important your dog be kid friendly (this also means 3x the belly scratches).

About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs and understand the importance of providing safe, reliable, and loving care. I currently have two dogs, both of whom have been professionally trained, which has given me valuable knowledge of positive reinforcement, leash manners, and handling dogs with different personalities and energy levels. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I have experience looking after friends' and family members' pets while they are away. This has included feeding, walking, playtime, providing companionship, and following each pet's individual routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I also have experience walking dogs and understand the importance of keeping them engaged, exercised, and safe on every walk. Whether your pet enjoys an active outing or a slower-paced stroll, I'll tailor their care to their individual needs. I'll treat every pet as if they were my own, providing them with patience, attention, and plenty of love. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the day. Daily walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and plenty of attention fit naturally into my routine. I'm available on both weekdays and weekends and can accommodate a variety of schedules. I enjoy spending time outdoors, so making sure pets get the exercise, care, and companionship they need is something I genuinely enjoy. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special instructions so I can provide consistent, personalized care. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, I'll make sure they have plenty of exercise, playtime, fresh water, meals on schedule, and lots of love and attention. I always use secure leashes and harnesses during walks, closely supervise pets, and create a calm, safe environment where they can feel comfortable. I have two friendly, professionally trained dogs, so I understand the importance of positive reinforcement, patience, and respecting each dog's individual needs. I'll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
