About: I enjoy dogs more than people. When I used to live on Guam, there was a period i was watching 4 dogs, 2 of which were mine. One happened to be a pit bull, and another happened to be rottweiler. The other 2 were medium sized. Now, that I am no longer in Guam I have 3 dogs that me and my wife take care of. I have my 2 from Guam. I havent been around all types of dogs, but I really enjoy them all. I find their different personalities and their energy levels interesting. I enjoy walking my dogs, so I think it would be fun to walk other peoples dogs. When I’m not working and time permits, i like taking my pups hiking in the mountains with me. Thank you for checking out my profile ! I walk my three girls at least five days a week. And when I have a day off, i love taking them into the mountains. Each dog is different. Different pup parents have different plans for their babies, so their rules come first. But if permitted, i would love to share the same trails I explore with our four legged partners.

“Sarah was amazing with my pup and went out of her way to meet him in person prior to booking. She sent multiple photos of him every day, was quick to respond to my messages and great at handling him! This was my first time using Rover and I will definitely be using again!”

About: With 20 years of hands-on pet care, I bring confidence, compassion, and a deep-rooted love for animals of all kinds. Fearless with dogs, unshakable with cats. Animal welfare is my only current commitment as I transition from full-time life to remote work and volunteering for local shelters. I’m extremely flexible, but the more notice the better. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I’m highly attuned to animal body language, avoid pet meetups unless requested by the owner, and have experience with beginner-friendly training techniques and resources.
“Dixie agreed to a last minute booking to walk Winston for a few days. He can be a bit nervous around new people, but he warmed up right away. Dixie was reliable and asked questions to make sure she was prepared for any quirks Winston might have on walks I was so relieved to know he was taken care of while I was away from home. I would highly recommend Dixie!”

“Thank you for all the puppy walks! I appreciate the photos and cute comments. You go above and beyond every time! Thank you brushing my Shepskys and talking them on long walks on these hit summer days.”

“Danielle has been a lifesaver to me and my boyfriend on taking care of our English cream golden retriever! She lets him out for us on time and we can always count on her to walk him every week even when we do it lastminute! She also is knowledge and when our dog was acting different she let us know. She genuinely cares and we aren’t so thankful that she takes care of him when we are away! Thanks Danielle!”

“Breanna has been wonderful. She is reliable, patient and kind and my 2 dogs Barkley and Buddy absolutely adore her. She has made our Rover experience so worth it! Thank you so very much!”

“Veronica was absolutely AMAZING!! Initially my 5 year old pup was just booked for check ins and walking services but when Veronica realized how stressed he was being alone, she brought him to her house for an overnight stay. He was so comfortable with her and a happy puppy when he returned! I'll definitely be booking with her any time I'm out of town. Thanks!”

About: Hi, I'm Dan! My best buddy Yama was born in January of 2019, he is now a seven year old good boy. I am a former Army infantry medic and am attending graduate school remotely from my house. I grew up on a farm in Oregon where I was surrounded with all sorts of animals from a young age. I love all animals, especially dogs. My style is fairly permissive, especially with other people's dogs, but I am clear on boundaries, redirect when needed, and give lots of love and positive energy. I don't buy into the dominance theory training methodology and am a big fan of Karen Pryor's training methods. I am happy to answer any questions you have on my philosophy. I live and work at home, so we do daily walks, play time in the backyard, mental enrichment activities, and low active / layabout sessions. I work from home full-time, so your dog is never left alone for long and always has eyes on them throughout the day. My home has a securely fenced yard, and I take introductions between dogs slowly and intentionally, reading body language carefully before giving anyone free run of the space. My seven year old dog Yama is a steady, positive presence who helps visiting dogs settle in. I use positive reinforcement exclusively because a dog that feels safe and understood is a dog that behaves safely. If anything ever seems off medically or behaviorally, I'll contact you promptly - that being said, that hasn't ever happened.
About: I’ve been hands-on with dogs since I was 10, volunteering with animal shelters everywhere from Aruba to Chicago and working in dog daycares, doing walks, daily care, and all the real-life dog stuff. I currently volunteer with a wolfdog sanctuary, so big dogs, shy souls, seniors, and high-energy goofballs don’t faze me. I’m deeply empathetic by nature and truly believe dogs are my soul animal. Every dog is unique and deserves care that meets them where they are. I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your dog in someone else’s hands, and I take that responsibility seriously! I offer calm, patient care and consistent updates for peace of mind. I also love sending photos, because I know how much those mean to me when I'm away from my dogs! I’m a stay-at-home mom with flexible availability all days of the week/end With my son heading to daycare, my schedule has opened up and allows me to give your dog focused, unrushed care (and all the pets!). I care for pets the way I’d want someone to care for my own. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and comfort level, then adjust my approach to match. Whether I’m in my home or yours, I focus on calm energy, safety, and consistency. I follow feeding, walking, and medication instructions carefully, keep environments clean and low-stress, and always prioritize your dog’s emotional well-being alongside their physical care. I also provide thoughtful updates and photos so you can feel connected and at ease while you’re away!
“Sarah has been absolutely wonderful with my dogs! She’s walked them every day and consistently does a fantastic job, which is why I keep re-booking her. She sends great updates after each walk, is very communicative, and makes everything so easy. Most importantly, I trust her completely with my pets. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker!”

“Dylan was excellent! Came over to do a meet and greet the next day and came over every day to walk my dog for two weeks. I would highly recommend.”

“Janet is exceptional! From the moment we met, I felt comfortable with Janet (and so did Dar!!). We had a very nice and intentional meet and greet, and the rest is history. She is so good with Dar, and the peace of mind Janet offers through communication, photos, and her authentic behaviors is invaluable!! Thank you so much!!!”

“Jessica is so kind and flexible! She accepted a same day booking for a walk and communicated well about making adjustments for the weather. We will definitely be repeat clients!”

“Nancy is great. Extremy professional. Excellent communication and service. Nancy clearly takes her care for your pet very seriously. We look forward to working with her in the future.”

“Mackenzie was so awesome! She was so sweet to my pup and really took care of him. She was prompt on his walking schedule, and she gave excellent updates on every walk. I was so happy every time she shared what they did on his walks, which eased my mind greatly. I will definitely rebook with Mackenzie in the future, she was great!”

About: I have successfully trained my 2.5 year old Brodie collie mix- a rescue that changed my life. I have professional time training friends dogs, along with being the person they trust with their animals for long vacations away. I will love your pet like my own and send so many photos (if you want them) I am a teacher so my summers are free and I would love to help you all out and spend time with your fur babies! We all know how much teachers get paid! I live in a townhouse which has a fenced in backyard where your dog could play with mine, or they can coexist and just sunbathe. When I am in your home, I will treat it with kindness and respect-just like your animals. I am always willing to meet you and your pet before visiting, if you request it!
About: I've had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember. We currently have a sweet pitbull and a comically opposite min pin. We make it work for them! They both receive meds every day so I am no stranger to that process. Looking to expand this care for others in the community. I am self-employed so I'm able to set my own flexible schedule. I take care of both of our pups daily - they get their meds in the morning and a walk to the park before dinner. I also do regular dog walks and drop-ins throughout the week for my clients - I'd love to meet yours! DROP-INS: Your pet will receive my FULL attention for your entire appointment time. For dogs, this means all the tug-of-war ever (if your dog is into that), or just sitting with them and loving on them. For cats, just being there for them if they are a social type. HOUSE-SITS/OVERNIGHTS: For a house-sit, my standard level of care is 2 drop-ins during the day, and stay the night if they wish (~9PM-7AM). I try to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible, as I know extended time away from pet parents can make them a little anxious. CONSTANT CARE: If your pet has a little separation anxiety, I do offer "constant care" premium services. +$50/day for less than 2 hour absences (2/day), or +$100/day for less than 1 hour absences (2 /day). Puppies may fall into this level of care based on their needs. For my own dogs, they get their breakfast/meds, and they enjoy their inside and outside time throughout the day until their daily walk to the park. Then an evening of snuggles and they happily sleep in their kennels. I'm happy and excited to start sharing this love with other folks' pets! I follow pet parent's guidance very strictly - I want the pet to be as comfortable as possible while you're away. Written instructions and tips help a lot with this!

HaNui showed up on time and communicated with me throughout our booking process. She even contacted me about the extreme heat during the day and thoughtfully suggested walking Piper when it was a little cooler. HaNui is very good with dogs and Piper came home happy and calm. I highly recommend HaNui if you are looking for a responsible dog loving caregiver.

We are anxious dog owners who needed someone to help with our pup while we are here from out of state. We worry a lot about our dog’s happiness and safety. It was a blessing and a joy to meet Jessica! She was so amazing to work with- she responded quickly and communicated well. She was amazing at taking notes and clarifying what we wanted for our dog. She did a visit before her appointment to meet us and our dog. She gave detailed notes about her visit and included pictures. It was the best experience that exceeded all our expectations. I would strongly recommend to her others!

Heather was great with my 6 month old lab puppy! She made sure she got enough exercise and play time, and took good care to make sure she did not overheat. She was very communicative and sent great pictures and updates during my puppy’s walks. She was very understanding when my instructions changed a few times. I will definitely use her again in the future!

Margaret had excellent communication while I was out of town. She took care of my dog and my cats. She's very trustworthy, had full access to my house, and took care of everything she needed to. I would 100% hire her again and recommend her as your dog walker and sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
