About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life, from friends to family, to mostly the luxury of my own home. I have had the pleasure to live with six big beautiful dogs. Three Great Danes, Two Great Dane/ Saint Bernards, and a Rottweiler. I have taken care of animals all shapes, sizes, and ages. I promise to love your babies as I love mine! I am in school part time, so I will have plenty of time to watch over your babies and make sure they have plenty of necessities to get them through the day/night. With providing the service to stay in your home, I will make sure to treat your home with respect and care. All while making sure it is a safe and happy environment for your animals while I’m there.
“Emily did an amazing job with Jake, my 2 year old Golden Retriever. I can't believe the difference in Jake over the last 4 days. He is much more relaxed on our walks. Thank you very much. I look forward to having you care for Jake while I'm at work. I know he is in good hands.”

“Savanna took my dogs out during a pretty hot part of the day, at my request. The dogs feet were getting hot so she stopped the walk and just played with them inside. Great insight and care on her part.”

About: My name is Sonia! I have been dog sitting and walking since 2015 and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, personalities, and energy levels. I truly love spending time with dogs and enjoy everything from leisurely neighborhood walks to long, adventurous hikes and energetic play sessions. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. I have two dogs of my own: Blossom, my sweet long-haired miniature Dachshund, and Cactus, my playful black Goldendoodle. They have given me plenty of hands-on experience with different personalities, routines, and needs. I am comfortable caring for both high- and low-energy dogs and am happy to tailor walks and activities to each dog’s individual needs. Whether your pup prefers a short stroll, a long walk, a hike, or simply some playtime and companionship, I’m happy to accommodate them. I am also comfortable administering medications and following specific care instructions, feeding schedules, exercise routines, and other special requests. My goal is always to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, loved, and well cared for while you’re away! I’m available all day, every day for the next six weeks! Beginning in late September, I’ll be available weekdays after 2:00 PM and all day on weekends. I’m happy to work with your schedule and provide plenty of flexibility for your pet’s needs. When caring for your pet in your home, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely regarding feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and any special needs or routines your pet has. I’m happy to give your pets plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and enrichment while also respecting their individual personalities and boundaries. I understand how important it is to trust someone in your home with your pets, so I’ll treat both your home and your animals with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident knowing your pets are happy and well cared for while you’re away.

About: “Dog fever” doesn’t even begin to cover it — my girlfriend and I are counting down the days until we can bring home a new puppy. I’m the kind of person who can’t pass a dog on the street without stopping to say hello, so you can imagine how excited I get around animals. I’m a private contractor working remotely with a very flexible schedule. I can shift my day to day schedule and adapt to most needs you may have. I am a very attentive person with patience and much affection. I hope to keep your pets routine consistent & stress-free with exercise, playtime, or just extra attention.

About: I have 2 golden retrievers who love playing with other dogs! In my friend group we all have dogs, any time they go out of town they call me to baby sit, whether it's at our house with our big backyard or house sitting for them. I'm currently working part time, where I go out of town for a week about every 2 months. So as long as I'm not out of town I'll be fully available everyday of the week I have a big fenced in yard, for my 2 fur babies, their best friend is a small jack russel, but get along with any dog, we have a dog door that can remain open or closed, and we have plenty of room for crates if that is needed!

My dog stays in a crate while I'm away from home and at night. He likes to snuggle every morning. We go to the dog park at least twice a week. My cat always has food, fresh water, and a cleaned daily litter box. My lizard had a clean cage and was fed 1 to every 3 days with meal worms or a super worm as a treat.
About: I've been working with animals since I was 14 years old. I started as a kennel attendant and worked my way up to a veterinary assistant. And even before that I've owned my own personal zoo, so if you have any additional pets that need taking care of, I'm able to care for them, too! I have an especially soft spot for Rottweilers and pet rats. <3 If you have any pets that need special medications, insulin doses, special diets, or any other medical issues that need close attention, I have had 10 years as a trained veterinary assistant and can confidently take care of all your pets' medical needs while I stay with them! You'll be able to relax knowing that your four legged, two legged, or no legged friend is in good hands. Im currently working full time at a veterinarian’s office. My schedule can vary, but I have a full hour lunch break, which means I am still able to stop in and check on your furry, feathered, or scaly companions during my break times midday. I do not offer services out of my own home. However in a clients home, I make sure to utilize any fenced yard for playtime, or walks for those homes without a fenced yard. During house sitting stays, I make sure to stick to the animals usual routine/schedule, and try to keep them engaged with regular playtimes, bedtimes, and lots of cuddles!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
