“10/10 My cats loved Heidi and we felt so comfortable while being away. Heidi communicated with me and kept us posted the entire time. We will definitely book her again. Thanks Heidi”

“Amber did a phenomenal job with our cat Mila. Our actual sitter cancelled on us for thanksgiving last second and Amber was able to accommodate Mila for drop ins. She went above and beyond for her care. Mila is an anxious one and we found TV on with some animal sounds to keep her company while we were gone. Definitely recommend!”

About: I am a well versed "animal person", willing to sit some of the more exotic creatures likes snakes, birds and reptiles. If you are looking for someone who will offer the same care as one would to a more classic variety, I'm your girl! I do of course, still offer the same level of care for dogs and cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, etc. I myself have two cats and eight chickens, but I am available most days and evenings of the week with some limited future exceptions. Please check my calendar for updated setting! My yard is entirely fenced and secure-If you're dog is a jumper, it is no concern. I am able to provide a separate space for your animals if you have concerns about their interacting with my cats.
“She took great care of my dogs and I really appreciate her coming all the way out to my house in the country to check on them. It helped me a lot! Will definitely use her again when needed!”

“Jennifer is the best!!!!!!! We were not comfortable with our first dogs Rover sitter, and she responded right away offering to help!! Thank you Jennifer!”

“I can’t say enough great things about Patricia! Fantastic communication when questions arise about my fussy kitty. I always feel good when I know Patricia is available when I have to be away.”

“This was our second time booking with Kyla and we were beyond happy and impressed! She took exceptional care of our older cat while we were away and gave us such peace of mind to enjoy our trip! She was responsible, warm, and above and beyond kind to our fur baby! We came back to such a happy cat and can’t wait to book with Kyla again!”

“Maria was amazing with our 3 dogs! Our regular sitters they have grown accustomed to over the years were not available and while our dogs are friendly, they have their specific quirks and needs. Maria adapted to them with ease and provided everything they needed while we were gone. It was a great relief to have someone we could trust and rely on providing such attentive care! Not only this, but she also picked up their poop from the yard every day and threw it out, left the house tidy, and collected the mound of packages we accrued over the week we were gone. Thank you so much, Maria!”

“Rose is absolutely amazing! She’s helped watch my pets a few times, once was super last minute and she’s always been extremely helpful and amazing with them. Definitely recommend them for anyone needing help!”

“Tiffani took care of both of my fur babies while I was out of town. She took the time to come meet them in advance and was so good with both of my babies, who can each be particular. They absolutely adored her and I will absolutely use her in the future.”

About: Update: Hi all! I’m not currently taking boarding or doggy day care bookings because of the on going virus to ensure I keep my your pups as well as my own safe. I’m sorry for the inconvenience! My bookings are still OPEN for dog and cat check ins and walks. ☺️ - I have owned dogs all my life and have taken care of them for as long as I can remember! I have volunteered at local Humane Societies and have taken care of elderly dogs in my own home growing up. I can administer any medication needed. I have a deep love for animals and will do anything to assure that your kiddo has the best care possible! I am available most weekends and I am currently in Dental school - my schedule allows me to attend class virtually. I have class in the mornings on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and I am done by 10am. My flexible schedule allows me to give your kiddo the one-on-one time that they need! **Please note that I do live on the Air Force Academy so please place board bookings accordingly! It is best if you can get on base at all hours; however, the base does allow visitors FOR FREE on base everyday from 5:30am to 10:00pm with a valid Driver's License. I do have a fur baby of my own - Walter, a 3 year old Siberian Husky mix. He is very friendly and playful and loves all dogs no matter what shape or size. He has zero food aggression or territorial issues. He is willing to share any and all toys and treats with his new friends! Walter is up to date on vaccines and is on tick, flea, heartworm, and parasite prevention. I live in a spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house that has plenty of room to separate dogs for meal or sleep arrangements. My house is one story - I am able to accomodate dogs with mobility issues. I have 2 XL dog crates that were used for Walter before he was house broken - if your dog needs one to sleep or lounge in, we've got you covered! I am a 3 minute walk from a large fenced in dog park as well. I also am 100% willing to walk your kiddo as little or as much as needed - there are many walking routes close by the house that range in length.
About: Growing up on a ranch, I’ve always had a deep love for animals. As a kid, I had a variety of pets — from hermit crabs and hedgehogs to bunnies, cats, and two lovable Golden Retrievers (yes, my parents are saints). This diverse experience taught me how to care for animals of all sizes and temperaments. Now, living in an apartment and in a stage of life where I can’t have pets of my own, I’d love to take joy in caring for yours. You can trust that your pet will be in safe hands, receiving the attention, affection, and care they deserve. I work a regular 8-4 job and travel some weekends, but I’m usually available most evenings after 4:00 PM. Whether it’s walking, playing, or just hanging out with your pet, I’ll make sure they get the attention they need after my workday. I’m flexible and can work around your pet’s schedule to make sure they feel comfortable and well-cared for. When I care for your pets, I treat them like they’re my own. For dog walks, I’ll make sure they get a good amount of exercise, playtime, and a chance to explore their surroundings safely. For home visits, I’ll stick to their usual routine — feeding, giving water, and spending time with them so they feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re away. I’m all about creating a safe, calm environment where your pet can feel at ease, and I’ll always make sure your home stays secure and tidy while I’m there.
About: Every since I was little I’ve been taking care of many different animals! I was often in and out of a clinic that a relative owned, so I adore being around all kinds of dog/cat breeds! I am a 19 year old part time hairstylist and work a flexible schedule, which allows me to tend to whatever your pets need! I have a passion for hair, but before I dreamed of this career, I always dreamed of being a vet! I have a never ending love for animals and am here to give them what they need at any time. I currently have a year old Coton De Tulear, she loves to play and go on many adventures! Due to that, I’m only offering pet sitting outside of my home. However having such a young pup, I’ve learned a lot about all the love! I have gained patience, and understanding of how to handle any age, gender or the different needs of dogs! I’m here to support and assist to whatever it is your baby needs :)
“Kaitlyn was amazing! Very responsive and shared lots of photos and videos of my baby while I was away. Had a couple complications I had to update her about and she was very responsive and flexible and took care of everything quickly and consistently.”

“Allison was fantastic. Great communication and she was kind enough to move our trash bins to the curb and back into the garage. I messed up on the days and she quickly modifies the booking per my request. We'll definitely use her again.”

“Briana took excellent care of our puppy! Great communication! Arrived when she said she would. Took the full time doing everything we asked. Will definitely use again!”

About: I've been caring for dogs for several years and have experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. I've cared for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs that need a slower pace and extra attention. I'm comfortable caring for multiple dogs at once and can administer medications according to your instructions. I understand how important it is to keep your dog's routine consistent, so I follow feeding schedules, walking routines, exercise needs, and any special care instructions to help them feel safe and comfortable while you're away. My primary service is overnight house sitting, which allows your dog to stay in the comfort of their own home where they feel most relaxed. I treat every home with respect and always keep it clean and secure during my stay. Before I leave, I make sure the home is tidy, clean up after myself, and wash any bed sheets or linens I used so you can come home to a clean, welcoming space. I know leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful, so I make communication a priority. I'll send regular updates and photos so you can enjoy your trip knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and well cared for. I look forward to meeting you and giving your pets the same love, attention, and care they receive every day. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible—for both you and your pets. I am currently attending Pikes Peak State College and have some in-person classes during the week. I plan my schedule carefully to ensure I have plenty of time to care for the pets I'm watching. During overnight stays, I'll return throughout the day to provide potty breaks, walks, meals, playtime, and companionship based on your pet's normal routine. I always make my clients' pets a priority and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. Since I provide care in your home, your pets can stay where they're happiest and most comfortable while maintaining their normal routine. I treat every client's home with the same respect and care that I would my own. I'll carefully follow your pet's schedule, including feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and any special care instructions. I'm also happy to help with light household tasks while you're away, such as watering plants, bringing in mail or packages, taking out the trash, and other routine tasks to help keep your home running smoothly. I'll provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pets and home are in good hands.
“Emily was an outstanding caregiver for my German Shepherd, Arya! She sent me pictures and a synopsis of the visit. I felt totally at ease with Emily, and knew that Arya did too. I will 100% reach out to Emily the next time we need someone to look after Arya.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in U S A F Academy. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
