“I definitely recommend Stephanie, she took great care of my cat Tsunami, she played with her, petted her and followed all instructions put in rover. Tsunami had a great time with Stephanie, and looked very happy!”

“Ashley is incredible! We decided to do a meet and greet with our lab since it was our first time using rover drop-in visits. Ashley was more than happy to meet with us and even spent time playing with our Gus during the visit! During visits Ashley takes great care of our lab. I always look forward to Gus’s visit card where Ashley provides detailed information on the visit and THE BEST photos of their time spent together. Ashley was also super flexible when our visit schedules changed and even helped us out last minute. She is our go-to pet sitter!”

“Sarah did an amazing job watching my cat, Nico. She was very communicative and sent multiple pictures each visit. I would definitely recommend her and plan on booking her again in the future!”

“Heidi was just plain fantastic. Her genuine care and constant updates just put all of my anxiety of leaving my dogs at rest. Heidi again thank you so very much for being a perfect human.”

“I appreciate you so much.Thank you for taking great care of my babies. Upon returning home, everyone was sleeping, possibly due to the cool air conditioning in the garage, which was set at a comfortable 69 degrees. I have applied medication between Shaggy's pads, as he tends to experience this issue intermittently during the summer. Thank you for letting me know and for all the great photos. Thank you again-You are amazing 💕”

“Savanna is amazing! We have 4 animals and she met with us before our trip to give us peace of mind and she worked with us when our flights got changed and we needed to come back at a different time. All the while she sent pictures and updates of our animals. I highly recommend her!”

“Beth has been absolutely wonderful in dropping in on our new puppy! She came by and did a meet and greet beforehand which made us feel so at ease. She is very much an animal lover and we are so thankful for her great care of Aspen!”

“Amanda has been watching my pup for months and my pup absolutely loves her! Amanda is very flexible with my schedule and responds quick. I would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Jennifer was an amazing sitter! We are so glad we found her. She went above and beyond taking care of my two dogs. One of my dogs has some pretty severe health problems and has specific medical and feeding needs. Jennifer did an amazing job caring for her and making sure both of our dogs had all of the love and attention they need. We found our forever sitter for sure.”

“Alaina was awesome! She paid a lot of attention to our pups, and sent lots of pictures. Our dogs warmed up so quickly to her, and she was dependable and reliable. Looking forward to more visits soon!”

About: I have cared for dogs and cats of various sizes and ages for the last 26 years. I have walked, fed and provided enrichment for my own pets and those of family, neighbors and friends. I am currently working part time as a personal caregiver and have plenty of time to fill. I would love to use that time to visit and play with your pet. I will ensure that your pet is safe in their home environment and securely leashed while we are going for a walk. I took classes with two of my own dogs on walking etiquette
“Maria was amazing with our 3 dogs! Our regular sitters they have grown accustomed to over the years were not available and while our dogs are friendly, they have their specific quirks and needs. Maria adapted to them with ease and provided everything they needed while we were gone. It was a great relief to have someone we could trust and rely on providing such attentive care! Not only this, but she also picked up their poop from the yard every day and threw it out, left the house tidy, and collected the mound of packages we accrued over the week we were gone. Thank you so much, Maria!”

“Roselin was AMAZING with our fur babies! We were visiting from out of town and scheduled an excursion that would keep us out late. I scheduled her to come out that same day. She was very responsive and followed our precise instructions. Highly recommend and will definitely keep her in mind when we come back to visit.”

“Courtney was great with our dog. He was alive and happy when we got home. He was well taken care of and didn’t chew up our house. She sent pictures and let us know how he was doing.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Black Forest
Heidi was great! My cats seemed like they really liked her. They are a bit iffy about strangers, but both cats seemed to feel comfortable with her from the first day (seeing as they were both in the photos). She was very communicative during during her visits which made me feel a lot better. I'm pretty anxious about leaving my cats, but felt a lot better after her first drop-in. She takes great photos which is also comforting, since they seem to be happy in their photos. Came home to a couple of calm and satisfied kitties! I'll definitely work with heidi again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Black Forest. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
