However, my husband dropped her off at John's house, and she was immediately engrossed with sniffing the backyard and didn't even know she had been left. John took her on a nice walk around the neighborhood, and she settled down immediately on the deck in the sunshine when they returned. No tantrums. About: We nicknamed our home The Dachs Inn - a weenie wonderland! We’ve cared for Dachshunds for 15 years and specialize in meeting the unique needs of this breed, including dog ramps on our furniture and deck. Our home features a dog door with all-day access to a giant backyard for potty breaks, play time, sunbathing and squirrels!!! Plush dog beds are placed through the home and a giant sectional provides the perfect spot for cuddle time. Daily walks are provided, we even have a dog stroller for senior dogs or those dachshunds suffering from IVDD. I work remotely from home full time and, along with my retired husband, provide hourly drop-in care, play dates, overnight and extended boarding in our home. Additionally, I provide home visits and walking services to families located on the west side of Colorado Springs. Other locations throughout Colorado are considered on case-by-case request for extended care in your home (5 or more days). I have three dachshunds, ages 15, 10, and under 1 year. My dog-friendly home has a fenced back yard, we feed all visiting dogs separately, and can provide daily pictures of your baby’s activities. I can also provide regular weigh-ins, medications, and teeth brushing. I am very active and love going on long walks/hikes (up to three miles) upon request. While I prefer to host only smaller dogs in our home, I am open to all breeds for care at your home - including drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I kindly ask that all dogs are current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough. About: I have 2 golden retrievers who love playing with other dogs! In my friend group we all have dogs, any time they go out of town they call me to baby sit, whether it's at our house with our big backyard or house sitting for them. I'm currently working part time, where I go out of town for a week about every 2 months. So as long as I'm not out of town I'll be fully available everyday of the week I have a big fenced in yard, for my 2 fur babies, their best friend is a small jack russel, but get along with any dog, we have a dog door that can remain open or closed, and we have plenty of room for crates if that is needed!
