Growing up on a small farm in MA, I was always busy helping out my parents with our 2 dogs, 6 cats, 30+ chickens, and 7 goats! I have years of caretaking experience with dogs, cats, and other animals, and love connecting with them and learning about their personalities! I am a very nurturing person as the oldest of five siblings, and I feel most like myself when I’m with animals and/or in nature. I am an aspiring wildlife conservationist, and have a bachelors degree in environmental science from Colorado College after graduating May 2026. This job provides me such great animal experience while living here in COS, and is a way to build more of a local, pet-loving community! please reach out anytime :)

Josie was once again fantastic with my dog. I appreciated that she let me know my pup was struggling to adjust and was willing to try many things to see if he would settle. She’s very communicative and takes so many photos!

Josie was amazing from start to finish! She was extremely responsive throughout the planning process and even initiated a meet-and-greet to make sure it was a great fit for everyone. We were so impressed by how eager she was to learn all about Echo and make her feel right at home. Throughout Echo’s stay, Josie sent us regular updates, photos, and videos, which was incredibly reassuring since this was our first time leaving our pup with someone new in a long time. She was even flexible enough to extend Echo’s stay, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy the rest of our vacation knowing Echo was happy and in great hands. We’re so grateful for the care Josie provided and would absolutely trust her with Echo again!
I recently moved here before having to leave immediately for a trip. Josie was kind, accommodating and patient when pet sitting during the acclimation period. I am very grateful and recommend her services to everyone!
Josie was wonderful walking both of my dogs. She spent time getting to know them before the first walk and was prompt and communicative over the multi-day booking. Lots of tail wags!

Schedule
My schedule is very flexible, and I love 'meet and greets' in order for us to chat more face-to-face and interact with your pets together! I tend to be working part-time a few weekdays (around 9am to 3pm) and therefore I need notice for longer stays. Beyond that, and I have ample time to walk your dogs in my neighborhood, take them to the park, or come by and hang with your cats and pets at your houses!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a smaller apartment with lots of windows and fresh air on the first floor, where your pets can be cared for safely indoors that does not have an outdoor yard space but is very close by to parks and green spaces. In your home, I am comfortable utilizing crates or other toys and possible training tools to ensure wellbeing of your animals, and adhere to your owner pet care preferences.
A typical day
I cater my care and playtime to your animals needs and routines! I love finding places to enjoy being outside with your animals when I can, so dog walks to a park or hiking in a local open space (on-leash!) are my favorite. As well, playing indoors with cats can be as simple as using a string and sitting with them or other enrichment, and is so fun for me. Please let me know if your pets like hiking or adventuring, as well if you are able to provide a vehicle while you're away to adventure with them responsibly;))
