“Patty took extra-special care of our rescue lab on his first sleep-over. She really worked at helping him get comfortable with the new environment & made sure he was well entertained. Great fenced yard to play in. We’ve already booked a longer stay with them. So glad we found a great sitter family !”

“Lexi was amazing and sent us pictures often and even added that our Boba said goodnight! Very sweet and personable! Boba seemed to love her and her family! We'll definitely use her again!”

“This was Reggie’s first time staying anywhere for more than one night. He had a great time at Madeline & Christian’s house. They took great care of him and were very attentive with his needs as well as updating us on how his day was going. Their dog Roni & Reggie became best friends! We would love for them to host Reggie again in the future.”

“They could not have been better! We had an emergency situation where the person we had left our dog with to dog sit started abusing our dog. Anika and her husband were so amazing and accommodating to our unique needs. They rescued our puppy from that situation and took good care of him! They even helped him remake good associations with things that he had been traumatized with. They have lovely well-behaved dogs of their own that are puppy became best friends with! They always put the guest dog first. We are definitely booking with them again, and think you should too!”

“Miriam was awesome! This was our 1st time away from each other , Bear was very well taking care of . Will definitely book again. In future . Thanks again 🙏♥️”

“Abigail was absolutely amazing with my dog, she took great care of Jenny, and when we pick Jenny up she seems extremely happy. I’m truly greatful that they took the time out of their day to take care of my dog on such a short notice.”

“Cate is amazing. She did such a great job with our dogs. One of our dogs had lots of new medications, and she did a great job getting them better.”

“Samantha was wonderful and I felt so comfortable leaving my fur baby with her, she updated me and sent me pictures/videos and I am very happy with my experience (:”

“She is an absolutely amazing dogsitter! From someone with trust issues, she and her husband can absolutely take great care of your pup! Completely recommend.”

“Breanna accommodated me at the last minute since other sitters canceled. She has the perfect settings for dogs that have access to the whole downstairs of the house and the backyard. It is open, airy, with tiles on the floor, and very clean. The animals have their own bedroom area in an open-concept style. Breanna loves animals, and she respected all my requests for my young dog. I could tell that Lizzie was happy and spoiled. I HIGHLY recommend Breanne to care for your furry love. Thank you!”

“Absolutely exceeded my expectations. Excellent care for my dog. Timely, clear, and concise communication. Photo and video updates appreciated.”

“Gisele and her partner took excellent care of my anxious dog Jack! I loved to see the long walks and adventures he went on with them while I was out of town.”

“Meg and Rachel were amazing! Winston loved them possibly more than me and they kept me updated with how he was doing. Highly recommend and I will definitely be reaching out to them in the future.”

“Gus had such a great time with Dolores and her boys. I loved getting all the daily pictures and seeing that Gus settled right in and was one of the family! I will definitely use Dolires again.”

“Briana, Manuel and their kids did such a fantastic job with our 7 month old puppy. They sent pictures everyday and I could tell that our puppy was getting so much love and having so much fun. It was such a relief to know our little puppy was so well taken care of while we gone for 11 days. I am so glad I found them! Definitely will use them again!”

“This was a very shout overnight stay as a trial sleepover, trying to acclimate our dog to Kerry a new sitter and to get ready for the 5 night stay. She was very sweet and attentive to our pup. I think this will work out for our needs.”
“Brianna and her family take such amazing care of Buddy. She sends plenty of updates and pictures so I know how Buddy is doing throughout the entire stay. He became fast friends with her family dogs too!”

“Our normal rover border was out of town and Zaire was able to meet us very last minute for our interview of her—which was unexpected and totally awesome! Let me say: These two folks are wonderful! I could tell Mesa really enjoyed his time with them!! There is a dog park for the apt complex too, and I have no doubt that he got such a kick out of that while there! :) Zaire puts so much thought into the care, it’s fantastic, and sends a couple of pictures a day. Upon leaving, she gave us a FOLDER with a ridiculously cute lil post card type picture of Mesa that she took and a report card (grade A+) with many notes about Mesa’s stay. Totally not expecting that—very nice touch. :) above and beyond. We will board again with her and wish her and her business great success.”

“I appreciate Zeah, she came to get my animal and gave me some time to myself, as well as try to get her acclimated with other cats. Thank you. Zeah”

Ling was amazing taking care of my kitty, Toothless! Toothie requires medication and Ling did a wonderful job of caring for her needs. She also sent plenty of photos that made me feel more comfortable when I was missing my cat. Thank you so much for being an incredible cat sitter, Ling!

My dog, Jesse, was in great hands with Tyler. I was sent photos during the 2 weeks, along with comments on how my dog was doing. Jesse seemed calm and happy at Tyler's home. It was nice not to worry about my dog and know he was doing well. Tyler did a great job and was very responsive to any of my inquiries as well. Thank you!

Dina was awesome with our pups. She took them on walks every day (which they looooove), sent us pictures and videos daily, and kept us informed. We felt very comfortable leaving our dogs with her. They came back home happy. Would definitely use her services again and highly recommend.

I’m a college student with a new kitten and wasn’t planning to leave her so soon, but Samantha was so wonderful. She took Clementine to a spay appointment and helped with recovery. She even dropped her off when I got back. I will definitely be calling Samantha again if I’m going out of town! :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
