“So greatful that our first experience was awesome. We will most definitely be repeat customers. It didn't feel like a service; it honestly felt like leaving your furbaby with our bestfriend.”
“Patty & Mike took WONDERFUL care of our shy rescue lab for 2 weeks. They sent pictures & videos every day of him sunning on the porch, playing frisbee, wandering their wonderful backyard & chewing on toys or napping. They kept him entertained & managed his shyness so that he was completely comfortable in their home. We highly recommend them & are already planning our next trip now that we have a safe & happy place to leave our buddy. 5+ stars !”

About: My experience goes way back to when I was kid caring and loving my own dogs. Caring for other pets when they needed a good sitter. Now I have 3 of my own, who I adore, and love. I do all the training for them, and keep them active throughout the day. Hello I’m a college student at Fayetteville state, looking for a job to do while in school. Taking care of dogs is what I love to do. In my home, I have a fenced in yard. I get my dogs to exercise throughout the day so I can train them. At the pet owners house, whatever rules you have set or schedule, I will abide by them.
“Ling and Andrew did a great job. Milo had tons of fun playing fetch and going on walks. He always comes back super happy and tired. Thank you again Ling and Andrew!”

About: I love dogs and finally got one a little over a year ago. I have grown up with dogs and all my family have multiple dogs, both big and small. I get to house sit them througout the year. I love taking them for walks and playing catch. Some take medications so I know how to do that as well. I am available to house sit at your house or mine. Can’t wait to meet your furry friends! I work full time but my work is pretty flexible and am able to work from home if needed. I normally take my dog for twice a day. I have lots of toys, a doggie door so they can go in and out to the backyard. I have a large crate if needed.
“I felt completely at ease leaving my dog with Idali! He was so cared for, he had so much fun with Idali’s dog! Idali sent constant updates with pictures and letting me know how he was doing! Definitely highly recommended!”

“Mariah was amazing and kind throughout Trooper’s stay. I was content knowing he was well taken care of and loved. She had great communication and always let me know what they were doing. Trooper had a great time and was absolutely worn out when he got back home. I would highly recommend Mariah to anyone needing boarding services.”

“Lori (Dolores) is a very sweet pup-sitter! She goes above and beyond to make sure our pups have a good place to call “home-away-from-home,” and gave us goodie-bags for the pups when we came back from our trip! Her boys love to cuddle and love on our dogs, too. Thank you, Lori! We appreciate you!- Krissi and Shawn, Teddy and Joy”

“Eileen and Mike treated Ollie like family when we could not bring him with us for holiday travel. They were consistent with updates, and let us know how he was doing emotionally and physically. He was so happy and comfortable with them; would highly recommend.”

“Jacob & Chayna showed my buddy an awesome time while I was out of town! They constantly sent updates and made sure my dog got his energy out everyday. I’m glad they’re in the Columbus area!”

“Communicative, friendly, readily available. Few of the many attributes Christy exhibited during my doggies stay. It’s such a relief knowing I finally found a good babysitter! Thank you again Christy!”

“Tyler was absolutely amazing with Finn! He kept me posted while Finn was in his care. He was also very flexible with both my travel and work schedule. I was incredibly comfortable keeping Finn with him and will definitely be using him in the future! I HIGHLY recommend Tyler if you’re considering leaving your fur baby with him.”

“I was a little unsure at first due to this being my first time using Rover for my pet care and not knowing what to expect but Joselyn was amazing! She took care of my cat Milo like it was her own! She sent me daily updates with pictures so I can see how Milo was doing and adjusting being his first time away from home for two weeks. Only took him like 2 days to get loose due to her good care. Communication was excellent. She took it upon herself to dress him and even gave him a little gift for Christmas wich was amazing and really appreciated it. I know Milo had an amazing time with her as well. When need it again in the future, I will not hesitate to reach out to her once again. Thank you very much Joselyn!”

“Rachel and Meg are the real deal. Our dogs (two 70lb handfuls) got daily park trips, adorable photo updates with genuinely funny captions, and the kind of care that goes above and beyond. Rachel even replaced a dog bed one of our dogs chewed up, no questions asked. That level of thoughtfulness is rare. Book them. They will treat your dogs like their own.”

“Briana and her family were very kind and really good with Nala. I appreciated the fast response time and that they sent pictures to keep me updated. Thank you!!!”

“Amber is amazing and tough! I adopted a crazy dog, and Amber and her kids handled her perfectly. She sent pics, took her to the park. I appreciate her last minute acceptance and her pricing is great! She is gracious and kind. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs care for their fur babies. She is trustworthy and experienced!”

“Michael was great with our dog Ellie while we took an overnight trip. He gave me updates on how she was doing and pictures. Would definitely book again, thank you! :)”
“I’ve written a review about Gayle before, but my dogs most recent stay is worthy of another. My dog has been going to Gayle for dog sitting for about a year now, and I honestly have no complaints. During my dogs most recent stay Gayle recognized that my dog was not acting normal, and she didn’t hesitate to let me know. Unfortunately my dog got sick and ended up needing to see the vet while under Gayle’s care (a terrifying ordeal for any dog parent). Gayle handled the situation perfectly, ensuring my dog was taken care of, that the vet had all the info they needed, and providing me with constant communication. I am so thankful for Gayle’s vigilance and communication, my dog could’ve ended up very sick had Gayle not been such an amazing care giver. She went above and beyond to ensure my dog was taken care of and treated her like one of her own. Outside of my family, Gayle is the only person I trust watching my pup.”

So so so amazing. Our first time using rover and I don’t think this sitter can be beat. We were worried our puppy wouldn’t want to come home she was so amazing. Her kids were awesome with the pup and able to play her out as well her dog was amazing. She sent so many updates it was amazing. Rebooking with her anytime I need a sitter 🫶🏻

Dina was awesome with our pups. She took them on walks every day (which they looooove), sent us pictures and videos daily, and kept us informed. We felt very comfortable leaving our dogs with her. They came back home happy. Would definitely use her services again and highly recommend.

I’m a college student with a new kitten and wasn’t planning to leave her so soon, but Samantha was so wonderful. She took Clementine to a spay appointment and helped with recovery. She even dropped her off when I got back. I will definitely be calling Samantha again if I’m going out of town! :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
