“Had to go out of town for several days and Alisha was just the sitter we wished for! She loved our dogs as if they were her own and sent plenty of picture and updates, which we loved. Highly recommend Alisha and will definitely be hiring her again for our future dog-sitting needs!”

“Ling and Andrew did a great job. Milo had tons of fun playing fetch and going on walks. He always comes back super happy and tired. Thank you again Ling and Andrew!”

“Henry had the BEST time with Julianne & Will! They took him on so many adventures to keep him entertained and tired while we were away! We would 100% feel comfortable sending Henry to their house again. Thank you so much!!”

“Christy took great care of our pup while we were away! She was always quick to respond, flexible and kind. She gave us updates throughout our trip. Aspen came home worn out and happy. We will definitely be booking with her again and would recommend her to anyone!”

“Great communication! I received photos and updates. Rita was awesome in accommodating my last minute change in pickup time. I'll definitely use her services again!”

“Michelle and Devin are the best!! If you are looking for a pet sitter, please book with them! They love dogs and it shows. Michelle and Devin are incredibly easy to work with from drop offs to pick ups and send updates. I have never felt more at ease when leaving our girls with them. They care for our dogs like they are their own and it shows at pick up, our girls feel happy and safe. 100% A++”

“Hally was fantastic! Samee and Grizz had a wonderful time. She sent us photos and videos daily sharing their stay. We'd happily have Hally watch our pups again.”

“Rya and her boyfriend were great! She was responsive and easy to communicate with. Ben, my pup, really enjoyed his time with them. He has allergies, isn’t great with other dogs, has lots of energy, and experiences anxiety during thunder storms but Rya managed all these special care requirements perfectly and at the end of his stay he was still happy and healthy. Would recommend.”

“This was Reggie’s first time staying anywhere for more than one night. He had a great time at Madeline & Christian’s house. They took great care of him and were very attentive with his needs as well as updating us on how his day was going. Their dog Roni & Reggie became best friends! We would love for them to host Reggie again in the future.”

“Lexi was amazing! She was quick to respond and kept in communication the whole time we were traveling. I received pictures of my puppers and he seemed happy and healthy and well cared for every day. I would highly recommend Lexi and would definitely feel comfortable trusting her with my pup again.”

“Adrienne was so great with our two pups, we had to spring on her some meds for one of them unexpectedly but she was totally on top of it. It was 4th of July weekend too and everything went so smooth even with fireworks involved. Our pups had a wonderful time and they look forward to their next stay :)”

“Jennifer and her family welcomed our two dogs with open arms as their own. This is the first time we have board our dogs through Rover and our dogs came home stress-free. Jennifer kept us informed daily with photos and text. Jennifer and her family provided a great experience for us as well as our dogs. Thanks for everything and we can't wait to go away once again now that we have a stress-free environment for our fur kids to board at.”

“Amber is amazing and tough! I adopted a crazy dog, and Amber and her kids handled her perfectly. She sent pics, took her to the park. I appreciate her last minute acceptance and her pricing is great! She is gracious and kind. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs care for their fur babies. She is trustworthy and experienced!”

“Lorraine is a very caring and dedicated dog lover. Lorraine works hard at making our dog’s stay with her as identical to his normal home life (feeding times , bedtime rituals etc.). Our guy is a senior dog who is also handicapped . Lorraine was great about seeing how well He got around and not feeling sorry about his falls from 4 legs to 2 legs. Lorraine house is great outdoor spaces that the dogs can be outside and safe at the same time. We would highly recommend Lorraine’s asa great place for your dog’s vacation”

“My cat Cass stood with Sarah and Patrick a week. He fit right in and I was updated with daily photos! They have a space that is very welcoming & both love cats.”
“Cedar was great!! My dog is high energy and can get anxious, she took great care of her and helped set up an environment for her to feel calm. She got to play all weekend and came back to us happy and exhausted!”

“Rachelle was extremely pleasant to work with. So kind and attentive. I really appreciated the daily check-ins and frequent pictures. I am most grateful for her treating and loving our pup like one of her own while she stayed with her.”

Ingridt was amazing! This was our first time booking a sitter through River. I got quick replies from Ingridt during our 2 week trip to Florida as well as updates on our cat and how she was adjusting during the time period. She was understanding to our delayed flight and treated our cat with great care, highly recommend!

Our pups loved staying with Cara! They were happy to arrive after just meeting her during the meet and greet. She sent lots of pictures and it was clear to see that both dogs were happy as could be. We love knowing that we've found someone that they are comfortable with going forward too!

Erica took great care of my dog, and was willing to allow for a later pick up time than we initially agreed upon. Great communication, and we got photos every day. My dog did not want to go home. Usually after 3 days, she’s pulling me to the car, not after 3 days with Erika!
Benisha was great! She watched my chocolate lab puppy for 2 weeks while I was home for Christmas and he was so so loved the whole time! She sent me detailed text of his day to day schedule everyday and soooo many pictures and videos. He was so sad to leave her home at the end, he had so much fun!

First time on River and saw Rachelle. Made contact and ended up booking for 8 days. She was professional, friendly and kept up contact the entire time! I will use her again and highly recommend her for any of your pet sitting needs! She sent daily updates with pictures and videos!

I can’t thank our sitter enough for the love, patience, and care they showed my fur babies. From the very beginning, it was clear they have such a gentle heart for animals. They didn’t just watch my dogs—they truly loved them, spoiled them, and made them feel completely safe and cherished. One of my puppies was a little stressed about being in a new place at first, but our sitter handled it with such kindness and understanding. By the end of the stay, that same puppy was relaxed, happy, and full of tail wags! Seeing that transformation meant the world to me. The daily updates and adorable photos gave me total peace of mind while I was away. I could see how content and loved they were. It’s so rare to find someone who treats your pets like family, but that’s exactly what they did. I’m beyond grateful and can’t wait to book with them again! ❤️🐾

Tiffany was a great pick for our gsp Birdie. Birdie is very high energy and anxious girl when we leave her. I was worried she would not be able to settle in. Tiffany did a great job with Birdie, she was sitting another dog and her sweet dog Molly that Birdie played with. So, she got the exercise she needed and settled right in. We got pictures and updates everyday. I could tell from the pictures Birdie was not stressing and that put my mind at ease. I appreciate that Tiffany worked with us on our drop off and pickup times. We travel for work and finding a Rover we trust is very difficult because birdie is so anxious and the Rovers we have encountered before do not understand her energy. We wish we would have found Tiffany earlier. We highly recommend her as your next pet sitter. Thanks, Tiffany.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
