“Jen has been an amazing dog sitter for our 2 little dogs. We have used her a few times for vacations and we love receiving photos of our dogs nearly daily while we are away. She’s great and I highly recommend her!”

“Debbie was amazing. She went the extra mile to keep Cal even longer after I came down with kidney stones. She went and got him food and she sent pictures of Cal. I would definitely use Debbie again in the future.”

“Excellent!!! Mike and Karen made our anxious boy, Dakota, comfortable during his 5 day stay. He was extremely well cared for. We would not hesitate to use them again. We liked the daily picture and update on his day. Thank you!! :)”

“Erica and Craig are awesome. My pup was very comfortable and and well cared for.... he was torn between coming home and staying. Erica kept me informed on how he was doing, made him comfortable, sent photos and made sure he got his exercise. Definitely will use again.”

“Incredible dog sitter! It's hard to have people watch over my doberman since he's a big dog. So I'm grateful for the week long watching over him. Highly recommend!!!”

“Kara is amazing! This was my first time leaving my fur baby with a sitter. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Kara sent photos every day and updated me about my dog - how she was feeling, doing, eating, etc. I couldn’t relax on my work trip knowing that my baby was in good hands. Highly recommend Kara!”

“Our vacation was stress-free knowing that our dogs were getting the best care. Safe to say they were very happy and tired out from all the playing and running around they did during their stay :) 10/10 recommend!”

“Paula is Wonderful! She took in our sweet old Gigi on short notice, she is a true dog lover and Gigi took to her immediately. Paula sent us numerous updates and pictures throughout Gigi's stay. She gave her affection, attention and a special spot on the couch, she even gave her a bath. I can't say enough great things about how well she cared for our pup and how much I would recommend her to take excellent care of your puppo.”

“Rita was very easy to communicate with and flexible with drop off/pick-up times. She was great with our pups! We would definitely leave Jamo and Spritz with her again.”

“Nichole did amazing taking care of my dogs. She gave me updates on how they were doing and made me feel at ease while I was away. I would recommend Nichole to anyone who needed a dog sitter.”

“Lori (Dolores) is a very sweet pup-sitter! She goes above and beyond to make sure our pups have a good place to call “home-away-from-home,” and gave us goodie-bags for the pups when we came back from our trip! Her boys love to cuddle and love on our dogs, too. Thank you, Lori! We appreciate you!- Krissi and Shawn, Teddy and Joy”

“I can’t recommend Judy highly enough! From the moment I dropped off my dog, Dixie, I felt completely at ease knowing she would receive individualized care in a loving home environment. Judy boards only one dog at a time, which allowed Dixie to get all the attention and care she needed. The updates and photos were a wonderful touch, showing Dixie feeling at home and enjoying her stay. It was clear that Judy truly loves and understands dogs. When I picked Dixie up, she was calm, happy, and clearly well cared for. I will definitely be returning! Thank you for the outstanding service!”

“I needed a new dogsitter because I moved. I have always had good dogsitters, but the transition is difficult because Jesse won't eat until he becomes familiar with the new home - and that can often take days. But she was able to make him comfortable enough to eat after the first night. Mihaela has a perfect home for boarding dogs, with the fenced yard and room for me to bring Jesse's dog bed. She, her family, and her dog were all so sweet to Jesse. I will definitely be taking Jesse to her in the future.”

“Polly and her family were amazing!! I always felt that my dogs were safe and well taken care of. She extended their stay according to my needs which I really appreciated. She even sent me pics of my girls. I highly recommend her.”

“Samantha and Anthony take great care of our senior pup! They’re great about maintaining communication and sending updates! With a senior pup of their own, they take care of him like he’s one of theirs. Thank you!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love caring for them. I’ve had dogs my entire life and would treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs, as well as dogs with special needs. I’m comfortable with medication management, maintaining feeding and potty routines, and making sure each dog’s individual needs are met. For me, pet sitting is about more than simply making sure a dog is fed and safe. I really value enrichment, play, exercise, affection, and creating an environment where your dog feels comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. Whether that means a long walk, playing with their favorite toy, practicing some training, getting plenty of cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I want them to have a positive and enriching experience. Your pets are family, and I’ll treat them that way. My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing that your dog is in loving, capable, and attentive hands while you’re away. I work remotely from home and have a lot of flexibility. I am available to watch your pet over the weekend where I am available 24/7. It is important to me that I am fully available while watching your pet. I live in a large home with many comfortable spaces for your pet. I provide multiple walks per day, constant snuggles and playtime. Since I do not have a fenced in yard, it is important to me that I provide ample physical exercise and outlets for energy

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Palmer Lake
Abby and Adrian took care of our four-year-old golden retriever while we were out of town for our 10th anniversary! They really adored our pup and treated her like their own. They have two adorable little ones who were good friends with her. They took mine to all their activities, which I appreciate, and took her for walks every day. They are absolutely wonderful, and we will go back to them whenever we are out of town next time.

Our pup had a great time with Sierra! We boarded her for 6 nights, and Sierra was great with keeping up with some special diet requirements. She also has a large fenced outdoor area the dogs can play in, Mocha seemed very happy when we picked her up. Would definitely book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
