“Debra took good care of Nixon. My husband was out of town for the week and I work long days. She let him and would play chase around our dining room table! She sent daily check-ins and some pictures too! Thanks for taking care of our Nixon!”

“Megan has done drop ins for our cat before, but never for our 5 dogs. Today she dropped in on them for some potty breaks and cuddles. They (and we) appreciated it so much! Megan is so sweet and professional, we can't wait to book her for drop ins again. We love not having to worry about our babies when we are away for extended periods of time. Thanks Megan!! 💕”

“Amanda was super great! Highly recommend! They came over every day at the scheduled time and made sure Wheezy Cats food and water were topped off and gave him treats and lots of pets. He is super slow to warm up to other people but they got lap cuddles on day 2! Which is an accomplishment, you can tell they are big animal lovers. I was able to add a day on last minute and they also refilled the house humidifiers for me which was really nice of them! I’ll be using them again when I have to be out of town. Thank you for taking such good care of my Cat BFF and my little Betta Fish !!”

“Emily is a true lifesaver!!!!!! She is always flexible and so kind to me and my furrbabies!!!! We will be working with her soon again for my human baby on the way <3”

About: Animals have always been one of the biggest joys in my life. I’ve spent years caring for pets of all ages and personalities - from playful kittens and energetic puppies to sweet senior pets who need a little extra patience and love. In addition to having my own wonderful pack at home, I’ve fostered animals for the Humane Society and volunteered with local rescues. Those experiences have taught me that every pet is unique, and I take the time to understand their routines, personalities, and what help them feel safe and happy! I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs and cats and understand the gentle care, patience, and attention they deserve. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, medication or just someone to keep them company while you’re away, Ill care for them as if they were my own. I am a stay at home mom to two boys, I stay very active outside and I am always around for you pets needs. Pet care is a perfect fit for my schedule. I understand having a stranger in your home can be stressful. I think a meet and greet before had is a great idea to put you and your animals at ease. I am very respectful of your space and home.
About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life, from friends to family, to mostly the luxury of my own home. I have had the pleasure to live with six big beautiful dogs. Three Great Danes, Two Great Dane/ Saint Bernards, and a Rottweiler. I have taken care of animals all shapes, sizes, and ages. I promise to love your babies as I love mine! I am in school part time, so I will have plenty of time to watch over your babies and make sure they have plenty of necessities to get them through the day/night. With providing the service to stay in your home, I will make sure to treat your home with respect and care. All while making sure it is a safe and happy environment for your animals while I’m there.
About: My husband and I have always had animals in our lives, and our home is filled with love and cuddles, whether it's on the couch or in bed. We treat every dog like family and ensure they feel at home with us. We can also help with training your puppy and provide any necessary medications. Pet care fits seamlessly into our daily lives. I work from home, and my hubby and I prioritize ensuring our huskies have a great life. This means we have plenty of availability to take pups on hikes, walks, and spend quality time with them. Our routine revolves around making sure all the dogs in our care are happy, healthy, and well-exercised. Our fenced backyard offers plenty of space for them to run and play. Inside, we can crate train if needed, ensuring they have a cozy and comfortable space to relax. Additionally, we provide constant supervision, lots of love, and regular walks, especially on the nearby trails. Our two friendly huskies also help make new furry friends feel welcome and at ease.
“Amber did a phenomenal job with our cat Mila. Our actual sitter cancelled on us for thanksgiving last second and Amber was able to accommodate Mila for drop ins. She went above and beyond for her care. Mila is an anxious one and we found TV on with some animal sounds to keep her company while we were gone. Definitely recommend!”

“Our senior dogs require special care and Sara was the person for the job! With a senior dog herself she was able to administer meds as needed and care for pups like they were her own! Great communication and we appreciated all the pics while we were traveling. Thank you Sara! 🐾”
“Maria was amazing with our 3 dogs! Our regular sitters they have grown accustomed to over the years were not available and while our dogs are friendly, they have their specific quirks and needs. Maria adapted to them with ease and provided everything they needed while we were gone. It was a great relief to have someone we could trust and rely on providing such attentive care! Not only this, but she also picked up their poop from the yard every day and threw it out, left the house tidy, and collected the mound of packages we accrued over the week we were gone. Thank you so much, Maria!”

About: I pride myself on being dependable, patient, and attentive to each dog's individual needs. I understand that every dog has a different personality, energy level, and routine, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable and cared for. Whether your dog is energetic and loves long walks or prefers a slower pace and extra reassurance, I'll adapt my care to what works best for them. I've cared for dogs with different temperaments, including one with height anxiety, so I'm comfortable staying calm and adjusting my approach to help dogs feel safe and secure. My time at military college and volunteer work ant Zoos also strengthened my discipline, responsibility, and attention to detail—qualities I bring to every visit. You can count on me to follow your instructions carefully, communicate with you, and treat your pet with the same kindness and respect I'd want for my own. Pet care is already a big part of my daily life. I have three dogs of my own, including two puppies I'm currently raising and training, so I'm used to planning my day around walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and giving them the attention they need. Caring for dogs is something I genuinely enjoy, not just something I fit into my schedule. I'm also a part-time college student, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate quality time to pet care. I make it a priority to be dependable, communicate with owners, and ensure every pet receives the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own dogs. I care for every pet with patience, consistency, and kindness. I know that every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, so I take the time to understand what makes them feel safe and happy. Whether it's going for a walk, playing their favorite game, providing fresh food and water, or simply keeping them company, I make sure they're getting the attention and care they deserve. I follow each owner's instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications (if needed), exercise routines, and any special requests. I also pay close attention to a dog's body language and behavior so I can respond to their needs and help them feel comfortable. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel confident, relaxed, and cared for while you're apart.
About: I have had a dog since I was 4, who recently passed but am friends with many more friends that have dogs, and I have dogsat for them too! “Stefanie was absolutely wonderful with my shy cat, Cleo. She was very communicative and went above and beyond to ensure Cleo was happy, comfortable and well cared for. Would highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with 6 bulldogs who needed attention both medically, physically, and emotionally. I genuinely love dogs and treat all of them like my own; understanding that dogs are family! I recently graduated from high school ant Palmer Ridge and am attending HVAC school in the fall at Pikes Peak ( this program will be part-time leaving me time to care for dogs). I enjoy caring for dogs in their own environment as I have found many dogs become stressed when they have to adapt to new environments. I appreciate detailed instructions on your dogs feeding and activity level to in order to best take care of them!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
