About: I grew up with a family dog, Chase, and for 17 years he grew my love for dogs. Once he passed I was in college and took every opportunity to care for other good buddies like him. Friends know that if they ask me to walk or care for their pup I will go above and beyond to make their buddy feel special and cared for when they aren't able. No one can replace you in your dog's eyes, but I'll fill the hole as close as possible. I have a pretty flexible work schedule so I can work with the needs of your pet throughout the week. I also have my own dog, so can combine walks/play or keep them separate! Does your dog love walks and playing fetch? Me too! I am very cautious when it comes to the safety of your pup, so I will strictly follow any guidelines you have as well as get to know your pup so I can better care for their needs. You can trust me to care for your dog as well as your space, I firmly believe in the power of coming home to a clean space, so don't worry we won't be making a mess while you're gone!

She even stayed longer than she needed to so she could check in on Millie and spend some extra time with her. We are so grateful for the care she showed our pup and for going above and beyond to put our minds at ease. We would absolutely recommend Katilyn and will definitely be using her again!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for most of my life. I grew up surrounded by animals, from bunnies and guinea pigs to horses and dogs, which taught me early on how different personalities and needs can be. For the past 14 years, I’ve been dog sitting both small and large breeds, building hands-on experience with everything from high-energy pups to calmer, senior dogs. I also have my own nine year old mini Maltese, Simba, who is deeply loved and well cared for, and has only strengthened my understanding of daily dog care, routines, and emotional needs. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly life. I’m a freelance filmmaker, fitness trainer, and yoga instructor, so my schedule is flexible and movement-based. Walks, outdoor time, and structured routines are already part of my day, making it easy to incorporate dog walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and check-ins. I enjoy being active and outdoors, so caring for dogs feels like a natural extension of my lifestyle rather than a side task. I always follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, whether that’s in my home or the client’s home. This includes feeding schedules, walks, exercise, play, rest, and any specific instructions you provide. I keep environments clean, calm, and organized, and make sure pets feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. I’m happy to take dogs on walks, hikes, or to dog parks if that’s something you prefer, or keep things low-key with shorter walks and companionship. My focus is always on attentive, loving, and responsible care tailored to each pet’s personality and needs.

About: I am a seasoned, responsible, gregarious, fun-loving cat/dog lady with full day availability and weekends to take care of your pet needs like they were my own. I get up with my puppy everyday feed and play a game with then take him on a morning walk. If I run some errands, he is crate trained (by me) and has some quiet time but when I get home, we normally take another walk and play a game in the backyard that requires him to run around. I also take him out multiple times a day for potty breaks. I live on a one-acre property with a fenced in yard. I have a 3 year old Labradoodle (Lincoln) with all his shots and he is very good and well socialized with other animals.

About: Hi! My name is Santi and I love animals of all kinds. Growing up, I always had pets - dogs, cats, lizards, rabbits, guinea pigs, pretty much every rodent - you name it. I loved animals then and still love them now! My mom trains dogs so I’ve learned quite a bit from her about dog behavior and best training practices. From growing up around pets, I know they all have their own quirks and specific language, and their care must be tailored to them. I am excited to learn from them and you about how to love and care for them best :) I work from home two days a week, with most of my free time in the evenings, though I am a mental health therapist so my schedule can vary day to day. I often have time in the middle of the day to check on pets. Pet safety and comfort is a priority. If there is anything specific they need to feel safe and be safe, please let me know! I’ll make sure to respect your pet’s boundaries, and go slowly and calmly as co-regulation can be a huge part of keeping pets calm. I’m careful about things laying around they could get into, as well as making sure doors are closed/locked. Let me know what to watch out for!

About: Hello! My name is Rileigh. I've grown up with pets my whole life so I know how absolutely important they are in a person's life. I do not currently own a dog because where I live does not allow it. I do however have a ferret named Avery and he is my entire world, as I'm sure your fur babies are to you as well. I currently live in Denver CO, and have a part time job working at a doggy daycare and boarding center so I get to work with dogs on a weekly basis while I attend college for a degree in 2D animation. I'm hoping to be able to work with you and your pets as well, as it is sometimes not an option for pet parents to leave their dogs at a boarding center for any number of circumstances, and those dogs deserve TLC and attention to their needs just as much as the ones we serve at my boarding center. I have been trained in doggy CPR and am knowledgeable in dog behaviour so pet parents rest assured your pooch is in safe hands!

About: I have taken care of dogs for many years and I've loved them for much longer. Much of my training has been with my own pups, however I've been dogsitting officially since 2022. Young, old, massive, pint-sized, I would love to look after your hounds. I try will keep my Rover calendar updated with any commitments I might have planned. Although I look mainly for housesitting bookings, I can also do walks/drop-ins. Please don't hesitate to reach out to see if it might work! I understand every dog is different, and every one should be looked after with that in mind. I have taken care of aggressive dogs and dogs dealing with sickness, and so I can appreciate that some dogs need more attention and care than others. I will respect any specific directions you have for me!

“We cannot recommend Leza highly enough! From the moment we met her, she was incredibly kind and understanding, especially considering we were preparing for the arrival of our baby and feeling nervous about leaving our dog, Navi, in someone else's care. What truly stood out was how much Leza cared about us as humans. She regularly checked in on us, even when she didn't need to, offering incredible peace of mind and instilling so much trust. Our plan was to have her on call for when our baby was delivered, and her flexibility and willingness to accommodate our unpredictable schedule made the process so much less stressful. She went above and beyond to ensure Navi was well cared for, and her thoughtful messages and updates made us feel like we were in the best hands possible during such a chaotic and emotional time. If you're looking for someone who is not only reliable but also truly invested in providing exceptional care, Leza is the best choice you could make. Thank you so much for everything, Leza!”

About: Hello! My name is Britney. My hobbies are hiking, traveling, climbing, playing tennis and snowboarding. I’m originally from Minnesota. Growing up I have always been around animals. We’ve had snakes, bunnies, birds, hermit crabs, hamsters, dogs, cats, etc. With such an abundance of animal owners here, I thought I’d put my care out to help others and share the love for them. I’d love to talk to you! I am currently available anytime. I am visiting my sister in Colorado from the beginning of November until end of January and looking for extra cash. I keep a close eye on the animals at all times, but also let them venture and have fun if given permission. I love taking them on walks, playing fetch, and enjoying the outdoors with them.

About: I’ve taken care of family dogs growing up and have effectively created a schedule that keeps animals safe and happy! I’m also amazing at teaching dogs tricks and understanding that each dog is unique! I’m working part time currently and I have plenty of availability during the weekends and weekdays. I also have a car so I’ll have reliable transportation! When caring for a pet, I make sure to communicate with the parents beforehand about any information that is needed so I can be prepared. Even when I do provide care, I always make sure to respect the pets boundaries and slowly integrate my presence so that they feel comfortable with me. I also make sure to watch for any hazards such as poisonous food, choking hazards, and interactions with other animals. I would also like to walk with the pet outside or a secondary space so that they don’t feel as if I’m impeding their territory. I also make sure to send updates every day as a wrap up along with pictures throughout the day.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Cascade-Chipita Park

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
