“Edyn was a wonderful Rover for my 6 yr old mini Schauzer. In fact, we've booked her again already. She's very prompt, sent photos and updates, and clearly loves dogs. Highly recommended”

“Lisa did a great job in watching my dogs Mercury and Hermes. Hermes was only 11 weeks old, so I was worried how he would do, but it was evident that both dogs had a lot of fun and were well cared for. Lisa took them hiking and carried Hermes when the hike was too far. It is evident that Lisa loves dogs and has fun watching them. I will definitely use her again when traveling.”

About: I am an animal lover and the first person my friends call to care for their pets when they are out of town! You can trust that your beloved family member is in the best hands with me. I am available for walks, pets, cuddles and feeding! Your pet will be well cared for and looked after. We will have a great time together! I am available to come to your home and care for your pet so they’re happy in their own environment. We will go for a walk and use up some energy! Also available for some serious cuddle-time if that's what your pet is all about!
About: Hi! I’m Rachel, your pet’s new favorite person. I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, from dogs to cats and everything in between. Because I’ve grown up caring for pets, I’m confident with all personalities and needs, shy, senior, high-energy, quirky, you name it. I recently relocated to Colorado Springs and work remotely, which means your pet gets tons of attention, a flexible schedule, and a calm, reliable companion. I can’t have a dog of my own right now, so Rover lets me do the next best thing, give local pets the same love and structure I’d give my own. What sets me apart: • Experience you can trust: years of hands-on care with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments. • Attentive + communicative: I send detailed updates, photos, and always follow your routines exactly. • Active + outdoorsy: your pup will enjoy fun walks, playtime, and plenty of enrichment. • Genuine love for animals: this isn’t a side gig; it’s something I truly enjoy. Whether your pet needs walks, care, or just someone calm to hang with while you’re away, I’ll be there. I treat every animal like they’re family. Can’t wait to meet your furry baby! 🐾 I go on daily walks, and also have a fully fenced, pet-friendly space where dogs can stretch their legs, explore, and safely play. Inside, my home is clean, cozy, and set up to be stress-free for visiting pets. I’m always supervising outdoor time, and I adjust the environment based on what your pet needs, whether they’re energetic, senior, shy, or social. I create a safe, calm, and structured environment for every pet in my care. I follow your routines closely so your dog or cat feels comfortable and secure. I’m attentive, communicative, and always keeping an eye on their needs, whether that’s extra playtime, slow introductions, or a quiet cuddle break. I make sure pets have fresh water at all times, get plenty of bathroom breaks, and feel at ease in my home or yours. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities.

“Cassandra was great. She took care of our dogs and house as if it were her own. She even had to get rid of a ground squirrel one of our dogs caught…above and beyond care for sure! Will definitely ask her to care for them again on our next trip.”

“Peyten did a terrific job! Most importantly she took great care of my pup. She spent hours playing and walking her each day. She took great care of my home and gave constant updates. I would definitely hire her again!”

“Hi, we’re Radar and Jammer, and we’re writing this review ourselves because Maren is the best! She stayed at our house the whole time (she was doing school on her computer), so she was always here with us. We were never lonely; our new friend Maren provided constant good company. We got LOTS of walks every day, and the best part?...she let us roll in the dirt as much as we wanted. When Radar got extra muddy (classic Radar), Maren even gave her a bath, which Radar thought was a nice pampering. We felt totally safe and happy the whole time. Zero stress, zero FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) like we usually get when our humans go somewhere without us. When our humans came home, they were pleasantly surprised at how clean the house was and that our fur hadn’t piled up everywhere after a whole week. (We know that Maren kept the house tidy with the vacuum). Also, we *may* have pulled a little thread on a blanket while jumping on it (zoomies…). Maren told the humans right away and even offered to pay for it. (They said no since we’re the ones who did it and it’s just normal dog wear and tear, but still – very responsible of her.) Maren is our #1 favorite sitter, paws down. (Part of us wants to keep her a secret so she’s always free when they leave again…but our humans said there are other doggos who should get to spend time with Maren too). Highly recommend. Just maybe leave a few open dates for us? We need her too! 10/10 will invite our friend over again! - Radar & Jammer”

“Hanui was incredible with our pup. She made sure that Maple was well taken care of, provided regular updates and genuinely seemed to enjoy hanging out with her. You can tell she truly loves being around dogs. We will for sure look to work with Hanui again in the future.”

“Dana was great with Rusty. She checked in with us a couple of times a day and sent us pictures to let us know how things are going. We will definitely try to hire her again in the future when we are out of town.”

“Our dogs love Ms. Chris. She is professional and caring. She took time to walk and play with the dogs, provided daily updates with texts photos, which put us at ease. We will definitely book her again.”

“David is the best! Not only did he take wonderful care of our pets while we are away, he also took great care of our home. I think our house was cleaner when we got home than when we left! He was great at communicating and sent picture updates of the animals. Couldn’t have asked for better for our pets!”

“Maria was so wonderful! She kept me updated daily and my dog absolutely adored her. She took wonderful care of my house and went above and beyond my expectations. Highly recommend booking her!”

“Scarlett was wonderful. She was prompt, communicative, and took better care of my babies than anyone else had before. Though we were only gone for thirty six hours, at no point did I feel like I had to worry. We will be using Scarlett again in the near future and are grateful for her hard work.”

“this was my first time using rover and Katilyn was absolutely amazing! I knew my dogs were in the best hands! I will be definitely using her again.”

“Jantzen took amazing care of my dogs, chickens, and house while we were gone for several days. We were super pleased which the love and attention he gave my two (somewhat needy) dogs. I highly recommend him!”

“House was cleaner than when we left. Dogs were very well taken care of and great communication while we were home. Thanks so much. Second time we’ve used Sarah and we hope she is available when we need sitting again in the future. Thank you!!”

“Cassandra did a wonderful job taking care of our Foxy. She was incredibly patient and kind during Foxy's stay with her. We appreciated the updates and extra care she expressed during Foxy's stay. We would definitely recommend her!”

“Leza was a wonderful sitter in our home. She took great care of our pup, helped her burn off energy, and kept great communication with us though out the night. Not only was she great, but her doggo coco was great! Coco was a great first introduction to our puppy. She was calm, collected, and kind. We will definitely have Leza and Coco pup sit for us again!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cascade-Chipita Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cascade-Chipita Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cascade-Chipita Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
