“What I can say, Talon is the best person we met so far over here at Rover! He is calm, has great attention to the details, work well with our furry fellows, provided us some advices how to help our reactive dog, I can keep going and going with all good things. In short, we always hesitate when it comes to another dog sitter but if Talon will be providing service in the future - we wi be definitely in line to ask his help. Highly recommend if you need to have your pups been under great care!”

“Brianne is absolutely wonderful! She stayed at our home for nearly two weeks while we were on vacation. She checked in with updates everyday and was so great about communication (even with a big tine difference) and making special accommodations for our pets many needs. She was also very sweet when one of our pets was being a bit difficult and got out of the yard one day. Then again when we unexpectedly needed her to check in on our pets after our original agreed time. We felt very comfortable having Brianne stay in our home and that she took excellent care of our home and everything that needed looking after, especially our fur babies. We will certainly be requesting her services again in the future!”

About: Hi, I'm Heather! I absolutely love animals of all kinds! I currently have three dogs of my own, and if my husband would let me, I’d probably have a whole house full of them. 😂 My current pups are all Boston Terriers, but I’ve had experience with many different breeds over the years, including a Mastiff/Pit Bull mix, Husky/German Shepherd mix, Border Collie, and Blue Heelers. I love that every dog has their own unique personality, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know them. I have experience caring for both young, energetic dogs and seniors who need a little extra help. I’m comfortable giving medications, changing diapers, and helping older dogs with mobility issues—including helping them get outside safely for bathroom breaks. I already regularly watch my dad’s and friends’ dogs when they go out of town because they know I’ll treat their pets like they’re part of my own family. I understand how much trust goes into leaving your pets with someone, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re getting lots of love, attention, and care while you’re away. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, a drop-in visit, or someone to stay with them while you’re out of town, I’d love to help. ❤️ I promise to love your pets like they’re my own! 🐶🐾 I’m currently working on phasing out of a full time position but I work a split shift so I either get off at 5 or go in at noon. Soon I will be available around the clock. I have a fully fenced front and back yard and my house has a doggy door so they can always access the outside for a potty break. My house is my dogs house. They can be on the couch or bed I have no issues w them doing whatever to be comfortable.
“Alyissia did a wonderful job with our dog, and was a tremendous help in a sudden last minute crunch when we needed someone to sit with our dog. I am so grateful to have found her!”

“Hanui was incredible with our pup. She made sure that Maple was well taken care of, provided regular updates and genuinely seemed to enjoy hanging out with her. You can tell she truly loves being around dogs. We will for sure look to work with Hanui again in the future.”

“Not only did Scarlett watch our dogs in our own home, she left the place immaculate and updated us on everything! My husband and I have two fairly anxious labs, and they seem very happy even though we were gone! I would trust her for all your pet needs.”

“Debbie was absolutely amazing with our two girls, Lucy and Rumi! We were nervous going into this booking because Lucy takes a while to warm up to new people and tends to be anxious/vocal at first but Debbie was so patient and consistent with her that by the end of the stay, Lucy had gone from barking and hiding in the bedroom to a completely zero-bark day, letting Debbie scratch her ears and even walk her on leash. That kind of progress with an anxious dog speaks volumes about how gentle and attentive Debbie is. Rumi, our happy-go-lucky girl, was Debbie's shadow the whole time and clearly felt right at home with her too. Debbie sent detailed updates and photos after every visit, went above and beyond by offering to stay overnight so the girls wouldn't be alone for too long, and even left lights on for us before she left in case we got home after dark. Little touches like that show she genuinely cares. We came home to two happy, relaxed dogs and total peace of mind. Debbie made it possible for us to enjoy our trip without worrying, and we'll absolutely be booking her again. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Zoe was so good with our big boy Ernie. He can be very energetic and a lot to handle sometimes, but Zoe took great care of him. She sent pictures every day and had great communication. Zoe stayed at our home and left it just the way we did. I would recommend Zoe for your next trip away. You will feel comfortable and your pets will feel safe. Thank you Zoe!”

“Maria is amazing! I am always really worried at first when leaving my pups with a new sitter, but she was able to instantly ease my mind with her love and care for my dogs from the first moment she met them. She makes sure to send tons of updates while you’re away to bring comfort. When I got home, I noticed that the dogs were really happy and calm. I can tell they were well taken care of. My home was left better than it was before my trip - she cleaned up and made the bed with fresh sheets before she left. I also returned to a kind handwritten note thanking me for trusting them, letting me know how much she loved the dogs, and updating me on the care she offered them. Already booked her for my next trip! Thank you Maria!”

Maria is fantastic! She is so communicative and sent us lots of adorable pictures and updates while we were gone. I felt confident Henry was being very well taken care of and getting plenty of attention. He is definitely sad that we are back home :) She left our house sparkling clean, which was unnecessary but so nice to come home to! We will definitely use Maria again in the future!

Greg was amazing! He took such good care of our cat and dog and even our house! Everything was so clean and welcoming when we got home. He consistently sent photos and updates of our furbabies while we were gone and had great communication. Highly recommend Greg!

This was our second time having Mario pet sit our girls. He takes such amazing care of them and our home! He keeps in daily touch with pictures and always puts my mind at rest. We are so happy we found Mario and will continue using his services for as long as we can!

Talon was great! It was my first time leaving my pup for multiple days, and my first time using rover. He blew my expectations out of the water. My dog Remi even got into some mess with a skunk, and Talon reassured me he was okay and took the steps to remedy him on his own. He even left me with some tips on how to treat my pup for the next few days post skunk. My home looks even better than when I left it!

Charlotte was AMAZING. I swear my house is cleaner after her stay than when I left it. She was highly communicative with me for the duration of her house sit. I got lots of pics and reassurance that my babes were just fine in my absence. 20/10 would recommend 100 times over. Already have her booked for another visit at the end of the month!

Amy did such an amazing job of watching my Macie Dog and Ponce Kitty! My old lady dog is on heart medications every 12 hours and can sometimes fight taking the pills, which makes me a bit nervous when finding a pet sitter. Amy had no problems getting her to take her medications, much to my relief. She sent plenty of photos and stayed in comms with me the whole time. She is also extremly gracious. My dog had a couple of nighttime accidents, due to her meds. Amy went above and beyond to make sure everything was cleaned up. I 100% recommend her if you are looking for a pet and/or house sitter.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Colorado Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Colorado Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Colorado Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
