About: I have been dog sitting since I was 11! I have dog sat for many families: I began dog walking and doing overnights for the neighbors around me and my name was eventually passed around to their friends and family. I have experience with overnights, dog walking, feeding, grooming, and drop-ins. I am very reliable and committed to keeping your pet happy and healthy! I have a very flexible schedule this summer! I am working a part-time job at Colorado College and usually have 2 hour shifts. I would be able to check on your pet every 2 hours if needed! I am also in town for the foreseeable future so can do longer overnight pet sitting! In clients’ homes I never remove the pet from where they are most comfortable and try not to take over their space. I listen to their needs and try to make my presence as calming as possible in their home.

“Hanui was incredible with our pup. She made sure that Maple was well taken care of, provided regular updates and genuinely seemed to enjoy hanging out with her. You can tell she truly loves being around dogs. We will for sure look to work with Hanui again in the future.”

“Zoe was so good with our big boy Ernie. He can be very energetic and a lot to handle sometimes, but Zoe took great care of him. She sent pictures every day and had great communication. Zoe stayed at our home and left it just the way we did. I would recommend Zoe for your next trip away. You will feel comfortable and your pets will feel safe. Thank you Zoe!”

“Alyissia was the best! She took wonderful care of our timid pup who made friends with her in record time. She also took excellent care of our house and sent plenty of updates while we were gone. We were so comfortable being away having her there. Would absolutely use her again!”

“We were so pleased with Joshua. He took plenty of pictures that made us feel comforted while he looked after our fur babies. Both our babies are rescues and are very skittish around new comers, the moment Joshua came, our dogs went right up to him and allowed him to give loves, we knew right then that he would be caring for them. He was respectful and responsible during his stay. We highly recommend him to anyone !!!”

“She was awesome!!! She had a lil trouble with one of my girls not warming up to her but she stuck with her and she finally did!! She kept me updated the entire time and was really awesome!!! I cannot recommend Zeah enough!!!!”

“Edyn was great and my Bulldog loved her and her Cowbell. She did a wonderful job and is coming back tomorrow for a week. We are so happy with her warmth and care for our Bulldog and home. Thank you so much Edyn!! :)”

“Dora was amazing with my high energy pup and sr dog, super communicative and helpful! I would absolutely trust her to stay in my home and care for my pets at any time. 10/10- she’s my rover choice!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was little and I recently worked at a dog daycare for a year where I learned everything there is to know about caring for furry babies. Since I have my own pup, I’m used to the everyday routine of caring for her, walking her and playing with her during her sudden bursts of energy. Caring for a furry baby requires appropriate communication with the parents and a detailed understanding of what each furry baby needs. It also involves making the environment fun for everyone. I’m currently out of school and have a lot of free time to take care of your furry baby. I live close to 3 big parks and I love to take long walks with my pup every day so an addition is always welcome. When I’m caring for pets in a clients home I make sure I pay close attention on everything that needs to be done to keep your furry baby safe and healthy.
“When setting up this booking and meeting with Brianne initially to see if she was a good fit, she was punctual, communicated well, and was both professional and kind. She stayed in my home to care for my two cats for two nights while I was away. One of my cats has asthma, so having someone in home while I am gone brings me great peace of mind. She kept me updated regularly while I was gone, as I told her to please do so. She did great with giving the inhaler and oral meds and attended to my admittedly over the top list of instructions for her stay with kindness and professionalism. My house was clean when I returned and my cats were happy. I absolutely recommend her, but fear it will be harder to schedule with her if the word gets out thats she's so great!”

“Nicole is the absolute best!! She is my go-to dog sitter. I can tell from the pictures she sends my Poms love when she baby sits. I get updates and I know my dogs are in the best care with Nicole.”

“She has been amazing! She updated me with pictures and has taken great care of our German Shepherd! We will definitely contact her to watch Riley again in the future.”

“Bre was excellent! She watched our girl on Christmas and took excellent care of her. Its nice to have someone take care of your pet like their own. Next time we're in town we will definitely use her again.”
“Andrew was a great pet sitter! This was our first time using Rover after a couple of bad experiences with other venues. It was so wonder to enjoy our vacation knowing that our dogs were in great hands. Andrew sent photo updates and assured us that the dogs were doing great. Definitely would recommend Andrew and Rover to our friends.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Colorado Springs
How lucky we are to have had Hanui watch our girl Frida this past weekend. Communication was excellent and we got updates throughout the day on how Frida was doing. Our home was exactly how we left it when we arrived home, and Frida was calm and happy. Hanui is a wonderful person who is so warm and loving to our sweet Frida, they snuggled and went on walks and Frida never left Hanui’s side. We will definitely keep her in our orbit when we need care for Frida. Thank you Hanui!

Thanks you, AGAIN, Greg.. As usual,, you took amazingly great care with our Georgia. We came home to a happy, well fed, and clean dog after being away. You have always been so dependable and so trustworthy. we know our baby and our home are always treated as if they were your own and we cannot thank you enough. If anyone reading this is considering hiring Greg, DO IT… You will literally have Z E R O worries

We had such a great experience! She took amazing care of our three dogs and really went above and beyond to make sure each of them got the individual attention they needed. She sent several check-ins and updates throughout the day along with lots of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. I especially appreciated how thoughtful she was about keeping them happy and stimulated. She tried different enrichment activities, including lick pads and treat-dispensing toys, and made sure they got their daily walks. It was clear that she really paid attention to each dog’s personality, preferences, and needs rather than treating them all the same. Our dogs were clearly very well cared for, and we came home to three happy pups.

This was the first time we’ve left our dogs for several days, so I was pretty anxious. Leah was super comfortable with our two dogs and won over even my little one (he’s suspicious of everyone 😂). She sent us daily updates and everything went smoothly. We came home to 2 happy dogs and a clean home. We will definitely use Leah again!!

Maria was absolutely phenomenal! She was a life-saver and helped us out last minute, and took the best care of both our pup and our home. We received regular photos, videos, and updates, and even came home to a printed report card and photos. Maria was absolutely wonderful and we will definitely be rebooking!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Colorado Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Colorado Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Colorado Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
