“Lisa did a great job in watching my dogs Mercury and Hermes. Hermes was only 11 weeks old, so I was worried how he would do, but it was evident that both dogs had a lot of fun and were well cared for. Lisa took them hiking and carried Hermes when the hike was too far. It is evident that Lisa loves dogs and has fun watching them. I will definitely use her again when traveling.”

“Our dogs love Ms. Chris. She is professional and caring. She took time to walk and play with the dogs, provided daily updates with texts photos, which put us at ease. We will definitely book her again.”

“Edyn was great and my Bulldog loved her and her Cowbell. She did a wonderful job and is coming back tomorrow for a week. We are so happy with her warmth and care for our Bulldog and home. Thank you so much Edyn!! :)”

“Rycheigh left our place cleaner than we left it! He was very communicative and kind with our dogs (and our one can be a bit of a brat). I get separation anxiety being away from my dogs and Rycheigh was very nice in giving me extra reassurance. Will definitely have him back and highly recommend! Thank you again!”

“Nora is the BEST!!! So kind, went above and beyond, and my cat loved her! She regularly sent pictures and updates. It is such a great feeling to know my cat is in great hands when I’m on the road. We are so grateful for Nora and would absolutely book with her again :)”

“We greatly appreciated how well Lily took care of our Chex!! She communicated and sent pics regularly which put our minds at ease. And it’s clear Chex liked her and was comfortable as she clearly ate while we were gone (it’s not uncommon for us to come back with a skinny girl from refusing to eat). Also, Lily left our house clean which was greatly appreciated!! We will definitely book with Lily again!”

“Not only did Scarlett watch our dogs in our own home, she left the place immaculate and updated us on everything! My husband and I have two fairly anxious labs, and they seem very happy even though we were gone! I would trust her for all your pet needs.”

“Hi, we’re Radar and Jammer, and we’re writing this review ourselves because Maren is the best! She stayed at our house the whole time (she was doing school on her computer), so she was always here with us. We were never lonely; our new friend Maren provided constant good company. We got LOTS of walks every day, and the best part?...she let us roll in the dirt as much as we wanted. When Radar got extra muddy (classic Radar), Maren even gave her a bath, which Radar thought was a nice pampering. We felt totally safe and happy the whole time. Zero stress, zero FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) like we usually get when our humans go somewhere without us. When our humans came home, they were pleasantly surprised at how clean the house was and that our fur hadn’t piled up everywhere after a whole week. (We know that Maren kept the house tidy with the vacuum). Also, we *may* have pulled a little thread on a blanket while jumping on it (zoomies…). Maren told the humans right away and even offered to pay for it. (They said no since we’re the ones who did it and it’s just normal dog wear and tear, but still – very responsible of her.) Maren is our #1 favorite sitter, paws down. (Part of us wants to keep her a secret so she’s always free when they leave again…but our humans said there are other doggos who should get to spend time with Maren too). Highly recommend. Just maybe leave a few open dates for us? We need her too! 10/10 will invite our friend over again! - Radar & Jammer”

“Benjamin is amazing! He keeps us updated on anything happening with Harley, asks questions when needed and has allowed us to enjoy our vacations knowing Harley is in good hands. He also leaves our house as good or better than we left. Cannot recommend him enough!!”

“Rachel was absolutely amazing! She took wonderful care of our dog over the weekend and also did an excellent job caring for our home. When our flight was canceled and we needed her to stay an extra day, she was incredibly flexible and accommodating. Knowing our dog and house were in such capable hands gave us tremendous peace of mind during a stressful travel situation. Rachel was reliable, communicative, and truly went above and beyond. We highly recommend her and would gladly have her care for our dog and home again!”

“David is the best! Not only did he take wonderful care of our pets while we are away, he also took great care of our home. I think our house was cleaner when we got home than when we left! He was great at communicating and sent picture updates of the animals. Couldn’t have asked for better for our pets!”

“Britney stayed at my home during the day while I was out of state and she worked in my office remote from 10am-7pm. I have one 2 year old kitty, Lily. She sent me photos and was very communicative. My kitty seemed to love her and she didn't seem out of sorts at all when I returned home! I had a dining room table delivered while she was there and she coordinated with them and even had them bring the table in the house for me. I would highly recommend Britney and plan to have her hang out with my Lily whenever I am away and she is available.”

I am the kind of person who will give your animal the best possible experience I can offer
“Erin was incredibly helpful looking after my cats! She agreed to house sit last minute and over a holiday week and made sure to take extra special care of my cat while he was recovering from an illness. She was very sweet and I will definitely use her again for my next trip!”

“We were so pleased with Joshua. He took plenty of pictures that made us feel comforted while he looked after our fur babies. Both our babies are rescues and are very skittish around new comers, the moment Joshua came, our dogs went right up to him and allowed him to give loves, we knew right then that he would be caring for them. He was respectful and responsible during his stay. We highly recommend him to anyone !!!”

“Hanui was incredible with our pup. She made sure that Maple was well taken care of, provided regular updates and genuinely seemed to enjoy hanging out with her. You can tell she truly loves being around dogs. We will for sure look to work with Hanui again in the future.”

“Used Rover for the first time and couldn't be happier with the sitter i picked. She kept us on need to know basis everyday with pictures or comments. She also house sat and kept it very clean! I think she went above and beyond our initial agreement and i am so thankful for her help. She watched 4 bulldogs and all 4 were in great condition when we got home. I highly recommend Denise for anyone who is looking for an experienced dog sitter.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Woodland Park
Tana was fantastic. She was really good with my older dogs; she adjusted to their temperaments and daily needs. She consistently communicated, sent photos, and most importantly I came home to happy dogs. I’ve had some poor dog sitters in the past and can easily tell the difference with the dogs are from a good or bad sitter. Tana was great and even took mine out for a hike! As a remote worker, it was nice to find someone who also works remote, so as to not disrupt them.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woodland Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woodland Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woodland Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
