“Gayle is wonderful and always took great care of my dog over the past year. It felt like I was bringing him to a family member’s home versus a sitter’s and that’s exactly the kind of feeling you want to have. 🙂 I highly recommend her!”

“We Left our dog Zac with Nichole For 3 days. She was so sweet and easy to work with, and stayed in good communication with us. She took good care of Zac, and gave him a much needed bath that we hadn’t had time to give him, but had made prior arrangements with her for. It was a great first experience with Rover all the way around, and we would definitely look Nicole up again!”
“Eileen and Mike are very sweet and caring. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with them as I knew they would take very good care of him. And I was right, Teddy seemed very relaxed and well taken care of when I picked him up. Thank you so much for your loving care!”

“Kim was great. Excellent communication. Sent Lots of pictures and made us feel at ease knowing our pup was in such great care while we were out of town!”

“Lorraine took great care of our dog as always. She sends frequent updates and our dog is always happy when he returns. We will always go back to Lorraine!”

“This was our first time leaving our dog with anyone we didn’t know. Upon meeting Mike and Karen, they were super sweet and made us feel so comfortable in leaving our dog in their care. He has separation anxiety and they went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and happy. It was nice getting photos and updates in between as well. I’m so grateful to have chosen them to watch our boy.”

About: We are a loving family with a teenage son who has a deep love for dogs. While we’re not currently in a position to have a dog of our own, he has a strong desire to spend time caring for them and giving them the attention they deserve. He is gentle, responsible, and genuinely enjoys being around animals—whether that means playing, walking, or simply keeping them company. Our son is homeschooled, which means he’s home throughout the day and able to provide consistent companionship and attention to the pet. This allows for regular interaction, playtime, feeding, and supervision, helping ensure the pet feels engaged, cared for, and not left alone for long periods. His presence also makes it easier to maintain a steady routine and quickly respond to any needs the pet may have. In our home, pets are treated like part of the family and receive plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. Because my son is homeschooled he is home often and able to provide consistent companionship, playtime, and engagement. While we don’t have a fenced backyard, we make sure pets get regular leashed walks, outdoor time, and exercise in a safe and controlled way. We also have a separate mother-in-law suite where pets can spend time comfortably with my son away from our cats. This space allows for a calm, cozy environment where they can relax, play, or have quiet time if needed. We pay close attention to each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions from the owner, to ensure they feel secure and well cared for.
“I honestly can’t say enough about Ramsha and Albert and the way they cared for my dog, Stevie. The best word for their approach is simply love. They welcomed her as if she were their own, and it showed in every update — the photos, the videos, the thoughtful little texts that instantly put me at ease. As a newly adoptive dog parent, this was my first time ever boarding her (four days!), and the experience was beyond anything I hoped for. Exceptional care, genuine kindness, and a level of communication that made me feel completely confident she was in the right hands. Stevie came home happy, relaxed, and clearly adored — and that’s all a dog parent can ask for. Ramsha and Albert are the real deal.”

“Shayne and Adam were amazing with our dog. She is young and has a lot of energy and was totally wiped out when we came home. They communicated frequently and sent lots of photos of our dog playing and being well taken care of. We will definitely use Shayne and Adam again!”

“Bryn is such a caring and communicative sitter! My dog ended up being sick for the last 24 hours of the stay, and not only did Bryn immediately contact me with all the details, she provided frequent updates until I was able to pick up my dog. Five stars!”

“Mango is a pretty anxious pup but she had an absolute blast at Sarah's place! She got to play a bunch and came home a very tired pup! Sarah sent lots of updates which I really appreciated as well!”

“She is an absolutely amazing dogsitter! From someone with trust issues, she and her husband can absolutely take great care of your pup! Completely recommend.”

“Samantha took great care of my pup and he was well socialized. I received regular updates and pictures and he was clearly comfortable in the surroundings. Highly recommend”

“Jonathan was amazing with our pup, Magic! He sent several updates and pictures and videos. Also, he took him on several walks. Magic came home a happy camper! Thanks for everything again 😊”

“Debra was a wonderful host. Very communicative and helpful. She was very accommodating with some schedule changes that I had to do. Millie had a great time at her house and with her dogs. Will certainly use her again at the next opportunity. Excellent care.”

“Laura took great care of my pup! She sent lots of pics and updates of all their activities. It was great knowing he was well cared for while I was away!”

About: I have had pets my entire life, but as an adult only had dogs. I am a physical therapist by trade so I do have a health background. I have done insulin shots for a diabetic cat and ACL rehab for a dog. I have done bandages for small wounds from sharp rocks when hiking or a torn nail. Let me know your pups needs! I work for the schools district so only planning to do this in the summer right now! I may continue into next school year, but want to insure I have the time needed for your dog! I am married and the mom of 3 teen age girls who love dogs and want another one. They would love to cuddle, love and play with your dog while in my care! I will take your dog on daily walks with our dog pup and make sure they are happy! Our dog Tulsa loves other dogs and warms up quickly. She loves walks and hikes. She is not food aggressive at all but loves treats! Let me know what your pup needs. Tulsa is crated during our absence and I would prefer to do the same for your pup if we are out. When I am home, Tulsa gets free rein of the main floor and supervision in basement and upstairs for safety. She sleeps in my bedroom and night and I would do the same for your pup, or crate if that’s what you prefer. Tulsa is trained to ask to get on furniture but is sneaky sometimes. If your dog is allowed on furniture, we will allow that on our main sofa, but keep them off our front room sofa - it’s white. I can accommodate special diets and medication, but Tulsa does not have either of those.
“Priya took such great care of Toby and we’re really grateful! She was very communicative, sent updates, and made sure he felt comfortable while we were away. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. Toby can be a bit anxious, and Priya handled him with patience and care, which we truly appreciate. We would definitely trust her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
