Safety, trust & environment

My house's doors are always closed and since my backyard is not fenced, I never let the dogs off-leash and only use a long leash to have them run around or chase a ball / other toys.

Information Tana R. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know how they walk - do they pull on walks, do they walk next to you, behind you? Just want to know what to expect and how you train them so I can just keep doing what you're already doing. I would also like to know their regular routines such as walks and eating schedules. Also, do they need any meds? Where do they normally sleep and hang out? How many miles are they able to walk or hike?

A typical day

I live right next to a beautiful and huge forest in Woodland Park, so that is always the first place that every doggie guest in my house loves to explore. Other than that, I hike 3 - 4 times a week, so as long as your doggie can keep up with me, I am happy to have them tag along!

Expert Care for Your Furry Family

Pet care experience

I’m a passionate animal lover with years of experience caring for a wide range of pets. My journey started with three years of volunteering and fostering for the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago. Since then, I’ve continued fostering with PawsCo and the Humane Society of Pikes Peak in Colorado, helping countless pets find their forever homes. I have extensive experience caring for dogs, cats, rodents, birds, and even farm animals. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of many breeds, sizes, personalities, and energy levels (including big dogs and active dogs who need regular exercise, structure, and outdoor time). I’m a full-time remote worker and digital nomad, which gives me a flexible lifestyle and allows me to spend a lot of time with the pets in my care. I’ll be spending the summer in Alaska (July through mid-September), and I’d love to help local pet parents during the week with dogs who need exercise, walks, outdoor time, or companionship. My usual work schedule will be 7 AM–3 PM, and I can work from anywhere with reliable internet. Since I work remotely, I’m able to take a mid-morning break to let your pup out, go for a walk, or give them some attention during the day. After 3 PM, I’m much more available for longer walks, hikes, and outdoor adventures, which is honestly one of my favorite ways to spend time with dogs! I especially love hiking with dogs and caring for pups who enjoy being active. Whether your dog needs a solid daily walk, a longer adventure, or just someone dependable to break up their day while you’re at work, I’ll make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved. While my personal and work travel prevents me from being a full-time pet parent, fostering, volunteering, and offering my services through Rover allow me to keep sharing my love for animals. If you’re looking for a reliable, loving, and active caretaker for your dog this summer in Alaska, I’d be happy to chat and arrange a meet-and-greet to make sure it’s a great fit. Looking forward to meeting you and your beloved companion! 🐾🩵

If I could give over 5 stars.. I would! Cannot recommend Tana and Eduardo enough. They cared for both our dogs for over two weeks and did such a phenomenal job caring for them and all their quirks! Tana communicated with me daily - sending pictures and updates. We were able to travel comfortably knowing our dogs were in the best of hands!

Tana is an incredible person! She took great care of our babies while we were away. She sent daily updates with photos and we know that our pups love her! Tana took our pups hiking every day and treated them as if they were her own. We are very grateful to have found Tana and we feel like she is part of our family! We trust her with our pups and will be booking her services regularly!
