We have some nervous animals, and she respected their space and let them approach her or ignore her as they wanted to, while providing great care. By the end of the time of our reserved Drop-In visits they were sitting in the same area without our animals dashing off and they would meet her at the door eager for their time together. She was also open to learning and caring for our chickens. She did well to judge when it would be best to keep them in the coop, out of the cold and when to let them out for the day. If she had any questions, she did very well to ask, clarify instructions and follow through with them. Bre was also able to do some extra property care, opening and closing of gates, getting mail, and bringing in packages as needed. She felt confident suggesting procedures that we hadn't considered to better conduct her services and delivered them constructively. We are very pleased with Bre and hope to use her services in the future. We are also impressed with the Rover app, and how they protect their customers and their service providers.”

About: We nicknamed our home The Dachs Inn - a weenie wonderland! We’ve cared for Dachshunds for 15 years and specialize in meeting the unique needs of this breed, including dog ramps on our furniture and deck. Our home features a dog door with all-day access to a giant backyard for potty breaks, play time, sunbathing and squirrels!!! Plush dog beds are placed through the home and a giant sectional provides the perfect spot for cuddle time. Daily walks are provided, we even have a dog stroller for senior dogs or those dachshunds suffering from IVDD. I work remotely from home full time and, along with my retired husband, provide hourly drop-in care, play dates, overnight and extended boarding in our home. Additionally, I provide home visits and walking services to families located on the west side of Colorado Springs. Other locations throughout Colorado are considered on case-by-case request for extended care in your home (5 or more days). I have three dachshunds, ages 15, 10, and under 1 year. My dog-friendly home has a fenced back yard, we feed all visiting dogs separately, and can provide daily pictures of your baby’s activities. I can also provide regular weigh-ins, medications, and teeth brushing. I am very active and love going on long walks/hikes (up to three miles) upon request. While I prefer to host only smaller dogs in our home, I am open to all breeds for care at your home - including drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I kindly ask that all dogs are current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough. For medical emergencies, we are established at Westside Animal Hospital, The Animal Clinic of Woodland Park, and the Emergency Pet Center.

About: I understand what it’s like to need help with a pet when you have appointments, travel, or whatever else life brings you. I am happy to help be a neighbor who walks or checks in on your fur baby in a pinch. I have cared for animals young and old from bottle feeding to giving medications. I have even worked with aggressive animals in the past- as long as we discuss ahead of time how to handle aggression and introductions it’s something I’d be open to helping you with if the fit is right. I’m staying at home for a short period of time with my infant. The best hours for me are going to be between 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM, but if coordinated there are other time frames, I’m able to help out during the week. I follow your rules in your home and will discuss anything that seems unusual to me. As far as my home: I currently have two cats and a toddler, so child friendly pets only. Willing to discuss daycare, but only by exception. I have a fenced in yard.
About: I’ve had pets of my own for 15 + years. I am madly in love with cats and dogs but currently cannot have any of our own. This means that I have lots of love to give your fur baby! I work part-time as a yoga instructor and housekeeper, so I have lots of little pockets of time in my day that’s I’d love to fill with dog walks/playtime or Kitty care. When caring for pets in their own home i familiarize myself with the locations of their walking supplies, food and water status (fresh water always!), toys, and learn their favorite places to perch, vibe, or hide.

About: Hi, I'm Dan! My best buddy Yama was born in January of 2019, he is now a seven year old good boy. I am a former Army infantry medic and am attending graduate school remotely from my house. I grew up on a farm in Oregon where I was surrounded with all sorts of animals from a young age. I love all animals, especially dogs. My style is fairly permissive, especially with other people's dogs, but I am clear on boundaries, redirect when needed, and give lots of love and positive energy. I don't buy into the dominance theory training methodology and am a big fan of Karen Pryor's training methods. I am happy to answer any questions you have on my philosophy. I live and work at home, so we do daily walks, play time in the backyard, mental enrichment activities, and low active / layabout sessions. I work from home full-time, so your dog is never left alone for long and always has eyes on them throughout the day. My home has a securely fenced yard, and I take introductions between dogs slowly and intentionally, reading body language carefully before giving anyone free run of the space. My seven year old dog Yama is a steady, positive presence who helps visiting dogs settle in. I use positive reinforcement exclusively because a dog that feels safe and understood is a dog that behaves safely. If anything ever seems off medically or behaviorally, I'll contact you promptly - that being said, that hasn't ever happened.

“Idali was really great with our dog even when he had some behavioral issues come up. She was very attentive and communicative and sent lots of pictures during our trip. We appreciate her flexibility and her willingness to go with the flow. We will definitely be using her again!”

When my pup needed to take medication while I was away, Laura was great about making sure she got her meds on time and sent many messages to reassure me that my pup was doing well.
