“Megan was a 5 star sitter for us! She watched our elderly cat while we were on vacation (2 drop ins a day) and even administered her meds twice daily. Her updates for every drop in were perfect and she followed directions to a T. She even brought in our packages and garbage cans for us. We will definitely book with her again. Thanks for everything, Megan! Ginger looked very happy and well cared for when we arrived home. 🥰”

About: I graduated with a 4.0 in Vet Assisting at PIMA. I've grown up with dogs and cats my whole life. I personally own a 5 year old English Bulldog, a 13 year old cat and my 12 year old leopard gecko has passed. I love animal-loving people, animals and helping them! I have full availability at the moment as I look for other employment. I would love to give some of my attention to a pet in need of sitting or daily walks! My dog stays in a crate while I'm away from home and at night. He likes to snuggle every morning. We go to the dog park at least twice a week. My cat always has food, fresh water, and a cleaned daily litter box. My lizard had a clean cage and was fed 1 to every 3 days with meal worms or a super worm as a treat.
“Sarah was great! Very detail oriented, very helpful, made sure all my pets were taken care of and notified me if anything changed . She was also able to give medication which was very helpful! I also love all the pictures I got of my pets ❤️ Highly recommend 😊”

“Emily was great! This was our first time leaving our dog in the care of someone other than family and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Emily kept in contact with me throughout the day and wanted to make sure that there was a plan in place for Lola in case we weren’t able to make it back home in time.”

About: My husband and I have always had animals in our lives, and our home is filled with love and cuddles, whether it's on the couch or in bed. We treat every dog like family and ensure they feel at home with us. We can also help with training your puppy and provide any necessary medications. Pet care fits seamlessly into our daily lives. I work from home, and my hubby and I prioritize ensuring our huskies have a great life. This means we have plenty of availability to take pups on hikes, walks, and spend quality time with them. Our routine revolves around making sure all the dogs in our care are happy, healthy, and well-exercised. Our fenced backyard offers plenty of space for them to run and play. Inside, we can crate train if needed, ensuring they have a cozy and comfortable space to relax. Additionally, we provide constant supervision, lots of love, and regular walks, especially on the nearby trails. Our two friendly huskies also help make new furry friends feel welcome and at ease.

About: I grew up with 6 bulldogs who needed attention both medically, physically, and emotionally. I genuinely love dogs and treat all of them like my own; understanding that dogs are family! I recently graduated from high school ant Palmer Ridge and am attending HVAC school in the fall at Pikes Peak ( this program will be part-time leaving me time to care for dogs). I enjoy caring for dogs in their own environment as I have found many dogs become stressed when they have to adapt to new environments. I appreciate detailed instructions on your dogs feeding and activity level to in order to best take care of them!

About: Our pets are our family and they should be treated as such ❤️. I am a full time nurse and do not need this job but I have two dogs that were very difficult and stubborn to train and I would have loved to have someone like me to be there if I went out of town or on vacation because I only ever trusted myself with them. I never went on vacation in their younger years because I was so scared someone would be mean to them or not care for them like I would if I boarded them. So I have decided to do this part time because every pet should be treated with love and care because they ARE our family ❤️🐾. I assure you, you won’t be disappointed if you trusted me with your family. I love all animals so much and quite frankly we don’t deserve their love and loyalty ❤️. Please choose me! I am working full time so I won’t be able to take all jobs but please reach out and I will try to make it happen. My schedule fluctuates so I can’t give certain days but if I am off work I will be there. I will treat your dog as you would just let me know any restrictions, dietary concerns, medications if they take them, certain ways they like things done or special things you would like done for your loved one and it will be done.
About: I have had a dog since I was 4, who recently passed but am friends with many more friends that have dogs, and I have dogsat for them too! I take care of pets every day, I also take care of my friends dogs! I have also cared for cats, I love pets and could fit them into my daily and weekly very well! I will play, walk, feed, any pet depending on the owners needs! I care deeply for animals and will make sure they get the love they deserve!

“I needed someone in a short turn around time. Elizabeth responded SO quickly and did a meet/greet the very same day. She was very professional yet so enthusiastic. She asked all the right questions and took notes. But most of all - she greeted and treated my two dogs like she had known them for years. She's just super great!!!!”

“Kaitlyn was great, my cats loved her for sure! Would definitively recommend and will book with her in the future if possible! Thank you so much for all your help!!”

“Absolutely fantastic! Stefanie kept us updated and sent plenty of pictures. The zoo loved her- she even got our shy kitty to come out for her! Will definitely use again and HIGHLY recommend!!”

“Debra took good care of Nixon. My husband was out of town for the week and I work long days. She let him and would play chase around our dining room table! She sent daily check-ins and some pictures too! Thanks for taking care of our Nixon!”

About: I've grown up with cats and dogs both, my entire life, taking care of all different kinds and personalities. I can handle large dogs and know to be patient and aware of their body language while meeting or playing with them. In addition to my own husky and cat, I have pet-sit for neighbors, friends, and roommates alike. I can be as vigilant as needed for animals with medical histories, ensuring concerning behaviors or signs are noted and if necessary, a vet transport can be arranged. Due to some chronic health issues, I actually have open availability to take care of any pet needs. I do ask for at least a days notice. I'm used to dog sitting for neighbors and friends growing up, and know how important it is to make the dog or cat feel like their space is still their own and safe. With walks I am used to both trained and excitable dogs, and can adapt to whichever style of walk is preferred. For cats, whether its just a check-in or play, I know how to watch for overstimulation while still tiring them out.
About: I have taken care of my own dogs for years and love everything about them and happy to take care of everyone’s dog no matter how they are I have experienced bathing them and feeding and walking and playing with them It fits into my daily routine as everyday day I feed and walk both my cat and dogs throughout the day when I am not at work I care for them with the upmost respect and love since these little animals are my favorite! I am the kind of person who will give your animal the best possible experience I can offer
“Amber did a phenomenal job with our cat Mila. Our actual sitter cancelled on us for thanksgiving last second and Amber was able to accommodate Mila for drop ins. She went above and beyond for her care. Mila is an anxious one and we found TV on with some animal sounds to keep her company while we were gone. Definitely recommend!”

“Ashley was so great with our pooka. She communicated well with us and updated us often. It’s hard leaving your fur baby in someone else’s care, but rest assured, Ashley will take great care of them!!”

Sarah does such a great job taking care of our cat, Callie. Sarah is a great communicator and she makes sure she understands our instructions. She follows these to a T. In addition, she takes pictures and report cards which made us so happy and gave us such peace of mind.
Amanda was super great! Highly recommend! They came over every day at the scheduled time and made sure Wheezy Cats food and water were topped off and gave him treats and lots of pets. He is super slow to warm up to other people but they got lap cuddles on day 2! Which is an accomplishment, you can tell they are big animal lovers. I was able to add a day on last minute and they also refilled the house humidifiers for me which was really nice of them! I’ll be using them again when I have to be out of town. Thank you for taking such good care of my Cat BFF and my little Betta Fish !!

Jacque was perfect. She met us a few days early to get instructions, Chip liked her. She sent pictures and o video easy to see he was very comfortable with her. I had a delivery and it was taken in. We are only in this area once in awhile but if needed I will use Jacque again.

Thank you, David, for once again taking such wonderful care of Sadie and Ares so I could get away for the day without a worry. I truly appreciate how reliable, attentive, and kind you are to me and my babies, and I always feel completely safe and comfortable having you in my home. For the longest time I thought Sadie didn’t like men, but it turns out she’s simply a good judge of character! I love the videos of her greeting you with genuine smiles and snuggling up beside you. Seeing Ares so excited to play with you and seek out your affection in the photos and videos is just as sweet. The dogs seem happier in your care than they have been in years, and that means so much to me.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
