About: I've pet-sat dogs and cats since I was 12 years old, along with taking care of my own animals, including two dogs and one cat since she was a kitten. I'm comfortable staying in clients' homes and love keeping pets active, happy, and well cared for with plenty of playtime and long walks! I'm currently a college student home for the summer and taking a few summer classes. Aside from being in person on Wednesdays, I have a very flexible schedule and am available to board your pets or care for them throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client's home, I always make sure they stay comfortable by keeping them in their normal routine and environment. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and medications if needed, along with any specific instructions provided by the owner. I also make it a priority to keep the home clean and safe while giving pets plenty of attention, affection, and exercise so they feel happy and cared for while their owners are away.
“Successful first booking and we’re positive there’ll be plenty more. The pups love Lisa already! She’s courteous and professional, even sent some pics— definitely reassuring and we’re feeling confident and comfortable knowing she will take great care of them as if they were her own. Thank you Lisa!”

“Kaye is the best! She was extremely patient with our dog who is anxious and not friendly with new people. But we developed a way for her to watch him and share space safely. Slowly he warmed up to her and by the end of the week she was able to pet him and he trusted her. It was amazing to see! I’m glad we found her! She was just great all around and communicated with us everyday which we were desperate for because we missed out three little animals so much. She loves dogs and cats. We appreciate her so much! Highly recommend!! 🐾✨”

“My kitties love Edyn, they were happy to play and get attention from her. My female cat can be pretty finicky on who she let's pet her, and Edyn is allowed to, so a big win.”

“Rachel was understanding that I booked a meet and greet with my temperamental belgian mal. She was understanding and patient that Aurora is not always friendly with strangers. Aurora and I look forward to her providing as needed home care when I have to work long hours when we require her to assist in at home care.”

“Rycheigh is the best and I always book them to look after my cats any time I’m out of town! Always great at communicating, available and flexible when I need it, and overall great experience. Thanks again for always taking such great care of my Franky and Finn ❤️”

“Nicole went above and beyond! She feed, watered, gave pets, and even brushed both dogs during her short visit. As requested, she look great pics so we could see how everyone has doing. Great job Nicole!”

“Arianna sent photos daily, but ended up being unavailable one of the days I had her booked for and I was informed 45 minutes after the drop-in time, day of. Luckily, my partner was in town and able to stop by to care for my cats, albeit later than they are normally fed.”

“Josh was timely, friendly, and able to coax my shy rescue outside for potty breaks. He was willing to come by the evening before we left, on late notice, to meet and get acquainted with our dogs. Don’t hesitate to pick Josh if you need reliable service from Rover.”

“Samantha was amazing with my cat, Nori! She dropped in twice a day and always kept me updated with entertaining photos and detailed notes. If I ever had questions, she always responded immediately and was flexible to help me. Nori warmed up to Samantha quickly, and I could tell she was well cared for. She is very knowledgeable and comfortable with cats. I highly recommend Samantha as a reliable and thoughtful sitter with a kind spot for all animals!”

“Melissa helped us out on shirt notice. She dropped by to give our dog a potty break. She sent pics and an update when at our house. She is very easy to communicate with and reliable!”

“Rachel did a fantastic job! Our cat Lola was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and has to take medication twice daily. Lola also got sick just before we left. Rachel provided regular updates on Lola’s health and helped to nurse her back to health while we were away. 10/10 would recommend her for caring for your animals!”

“Chris is wonderful and is very attentive to your fur babies needs. You will get photos and details of the visit which gives you assurance your pet is well taken care of.”

“Kairi was great. We used for her for in-person cat visits while we were out of town. She came beforehand to meet us and our cat, showed up right when she said she would, and kept us updated with photos and messages. We would happily use her again. Thanks Kairi!”

About: I've always had between 2 and 4 dogs at any given time in my life. I have experience training puppies, caring for elderly dogs, and teaching old dogs new tricks (it's totally possible btw). If you have high-energy pups that need lots of exercise every day, I can run or hike with your dog/s. I have two Newfoundland-poodle mixes of my own and we stay very active. I usually run or hike with them in the mornings and get in another walk later in the evenings. I work from home and have a very flexible work schedule. I have a spacious fenced yard and two friendly pups of my own that love meeting other dogs! When walking your dog/s, I can bring them hiking/running/walking when I take my own or take them on their own depending on your preference.
“My GSD Jaeger was injured and I had to leave town. Stacie stepped right in. She handled everything - making sure Jaeger ate his pills, feeding him, taking off his cone of shame off so he could eat and then replacing it, everything. Can’t say enough good things about her service. I’ll be using her from now on.”

Lisa is phenomenal! She’s at complete ease and a natural with dogs. She helped wrangle my cattle dog, chihuahua (and toddler!) when chaos pursued at the front door. Lisa is a reliable professional and I would highly recommend her to safely care for your pets and your household while you are away. Thank you for being someone we can count on, Lisa!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
