“Ashley is incredible! We decided to do a meet and greet with our lab since it was our first time using rover drop-in visits. Ashley was more than happy to meet with us and even spent time playing with our Gus during the visit! During visits Ashley takes great care of our lab. I always look forward to Gus’s visit card where Ashley provides detailed information on the visit and THE BEST photos of their time spent together. Ashley was also super flexible when our visit schedules changed and even helped us out last minute. She is our go-to pet sitter!”

“Jennifer has been the best pet sitter ever! She showed up on time every single day. She played and loved our dog every minute she was there. We got the "Rover Card" updates every time she visited with so much detail and pictures of our dog. I absolutely recommend Jennifer and will use her again in the future! Thank you so much, Jennifer!”

“Savanna is amazing! We have 4 animals and she met with us before our trip to give us peace of mind and she worked with us when our flights got changed and we needed to come back at a different time. All the while she sent pictures and updates of our animals. I highly recommend her!”

About: I have previously volunteered with a county SPCA organization taking dogs out for car rides and walks. And giving cats the love they needed during a very unsettled time for them. In homes, I have cared for up to 3 dogs (each about 100 pounds) and 1 cat at a time, dropping in two or three times a day when the owners were away for work or vacations. I would refill food and water, play with the animals, and let them out for toilet breaks/ clean the litter box, and water plants. I have had dogs for about 10 years, and I have dog/cat sit for neighbors and friends on and off while going to school for just as long. I have also aced Rover's Safety Quiz for recognizing behaviors and keeping your animal safe. I work part-time leaving ample time to do pop-ins and walks. I'm available: Mon-Thurs: before 8:45am and after 1pm Fri and Sat: before 8:45am and after 6:30pm Sun: All day I prefer to meet you and your animals first, so that we can establish trust and go over any specifics for your fur baby. Taking care of animals in their usual environment allows them not to stray from routine and gives them a sense of ease. For added peace of mind. When I am caring for your animals, I will not be caring for anyone else's. You can rest easy knowing that when we are on a walk I am only walking your fur babies.
“Nancy was amazing and took incredible care of both my cat and my home while I was away! She provided thoughtful daily updates that gave me great peace of mind on my long trip away and cared for my cat like her own. She went above and beyond and I will definitely be booking with Nancy again!”

About: I have worked with animals my whole life. I spent 3 years at a ranch in California learning about animal care for all kinds of animals and I loved every part of that! I will be your pet’s favorite babysitter! I just quit my teaching position to pursue all of my artistic dreams, and I now work part time jobs so I have plenty of flexibility! I have a fenced in yard, my dogs get walked daily, and I am able to feed, crate and play with them. They are loved at all times!
“Lisa is amazing with Stitch. She spends time with him and he is always so excited to see her. I would definitely recommend Lisa for anyone needing pet sitting. We know he is in great hands.”

“Kayla was phenomenal! We booked her last minute and she made time for a meet and greet prior to us leaving. She was so friendly and our dog absolutely adored her! She sent lots of pictures and kept us updated the entire time. We will definitely be booking her again in the future.”

Lauren is very knowledgeable about animals and animal care. This was the first time I used a sitter for my shepherd and she made sure by constant updates and pictures that he was well taken care of. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
