About: I grew up in a family full of animal lovers. We had cats, dogs, birds, rats, guinea pigs and even horses. When I was a kid I wanted to be veterinarian, but I ended up becoming a software engineer instead. Working remote grants me the freedom to put my love for animals to good use as your on-call back up pet parent. After getting a dog of my own, I realized how important it is to have back-up pet care available for when life gets busy. Travel, work, vacations or whatever else you may not be able to bring your furry friend along for, it's my honor to provide peace of mind while you are away. Don't be afraid to ask me for customization or modifications to your booking. I am more than happy to tailor time frame, price, responsibilities and expectations to exactly what you need for your pup. No request is too difficult. I will do my best to accommodate! Be communicative and explicit about the needs of you and your animals. We'll figure it out! I work a 9-5 Monday-Friday as a software engineer. Outside of meetings I have lots of flexibility to accommodate you and your schedule. I'll work with you 1:1 to figure out exactly what booking details work best for you and your pet(s)! (Additional services such as house cleaning, animal grooming or off-hours visits may include a small up-charge, but I am more than happy to provide these services as I am able) I do not board or care for animals in my own home, as I have 2 pets of my own and my home is their sanctuary :) Just as your home is your animals sanctuary, where they likely feel most comfortable, I think this is the best option for all involved. I've interacted with many animals of all temperaments. I prefer slow introductions, and allowing your pet to get comfortable with me at their own pace.

He returned my message within a short amount of time we spoke about expectations and needs and about Zeus 140 pound Rottweiler some even seasoned dog sitters would have been intimidated but not Josh Josh took the time to meet Zeus the day prior to needing Care and want him over within no time. We left out of town, knowing that Zeus would be well cared for even after only meeting Josh once. We got updates each time. Josh visited Zeus. We got pictures and best of all we had peace of mind. Thank you, Josh for being so great to Zeus. We recommend you to anybody who needs help with their pups while away.”
About: With a Dog of my own, I know the responsibility off a pet, understanding of nigh time potties burning energy and loving on all aged dogs Im a college student away from my dog at home and looking to take your dogs on walks, take care of them and give them the love I’d give to my dog, I’m available 5 days of week! I have a flexible schedule and am currently available most days and times with advanced notice. This flexibility allows me to accommodate a variety of needs, including drop-in visits, walks and extended care. I am reliable and punctual. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a secure, calm environment where pets can feel at home while in my care. I have a large, fenced yard that allows for safe outdoor play and exercise. As a dog owner myself, I'm experienced in handling and caring for larger breeds and understand the importance of supervision, structure, and positive interactions. I currently have a friendly 5-year-old male German Shepherd who is well-socialized and gentle with other dogs. I also occasionally care for my daughter's Pomsky, so I'm comfortable managing dogs with different energy levels and personalities.

After chatting with Devin during our first meeting, it was so clear how much she adores cats, which made us feel completely comfortable trusting her with ours! She took such amazing care of our sweet senior cat! She'd check on her twice a day to feed her, give her medicine, and shower her with lots of love. I highly recommend Margaret. She took exceptional care of Daisy while I was away in Japan for the last two weeks. She provided great daily updates with plenty of pictures and specific details about how Daisy was doing, which gave me complete peace of mind while traveling. If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
