They set up a meet & greet beforehand so we can introduce our dogs and talk through my worries so that helped calm my nerves before leaving them. From the videos I was sent, I know they engaged with them a lot as well so they weren't just fending for themselves in a new place with new dogs which is important to make sure everyone is okay. About: We nicknamed our home The Dachs Inn - a weenie wonderland! We’ve cared for Dachshunds for 15 years and specialize in meeting the unique needs of this breed, including dog ramps on our furniture and deck. Our home features a dog door with all-day access to a giant backyard for potty breaks, play time, sunbathing and squirrels!!! Plush dog beds are placed through the home and a giant sectional provides the perfect spot for cuddle time. Daily walks are provided, we even have a dog stroller for senior dogs or those dachshunds suffering from IVDD. I work remotely from home full time and, along with my retired husband, provide hourly drop-in care, play dates, overnight and extended boarding in our home. Additionally, I provide home visits and walking services to families located on the west side of Colorado Springs. Other locations throughout Colorado are considered on case-by-case request for extended care in your home (5 or more days). I have three dachshunds, ages 15, 10, and under 1 year. My dog-friendly home has a fenced back yard, we feed all visiting dogs separately, and can provide daily pictures of your baby’s activities. I can also provide regular weigh-ins, medications, and teeth brushing. I am very active and love going on long walks/hikes (up to three miles) upon request. While I prefer to host only smaller dogs in our home, I am open to all breeds for care at your home - including drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I kindly ask that all dogs are current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough. About: I enjoy dogs more than people. When I used to live on Guam, there was a period i was watching 4 dogs, 2 of which were mine. One happened to be a pit bull, and another happened to be rottweiler. The other 2 were medium sized. Now, that I am no longer in Guam I have 3 dogs that me and my wife take care of. I have my 2 from Guam. I havent been around all types of dogs, but I really enjoy them all. I find their different personalities and their energy levels interesting. I enjoy walking my dogs, so I think it would be fun to walk other peoples dogs. When I’m not working and time permits, i like taking my pups hiking in the mountains with me. About: My house was the "Animal House" growing up. Dogs of all sizes, cats, parrots, turtles, fishtanks, snakes, you name it, we had it. Waking up and going through the process or getting everyone food and water, meds, clean sanitary areas, the endless laundry of cat beds and dog blankets, it was all a part of my daily routine from the moment I could remember. “My girls loved Samantha and her family and I could tell from all the pictures I got through their stay. I went out of town for a wedding that I was participating in so I barely had time, and it was nice to see pictures of my babies when I got back to my phone. I was very nervous leaving them with 1) someone I didn't know and 2) my older girl's attitude changing around new dogs, but they took great care of them. They set up a meet & greet beforehand so we can introduce our dogs and talk through my worries so that helped calm my nerves before leaving them. From the videos I was sent, I know they engaged with them a lot as well so they weren't just fending for themselves in a new place with new dogs which is important to make sure everyone is okay. Their kid also did really well with them and they loved him. I would absolutely book with them again with more confidence the next time around.”
