“Bethany did a great job sitting for our 3 cats. It was fairly last minute due to a previous sitter canceling. Bethany was very responsive and arrived on time as planned. The cats loved the playtime and of course getting fed. I would absolutely hire Bethany again.”

“Anne was fantastic. Our huskies can be pretty standoffish with new people, but they loved Anne based on the many pictures she provided during her visits. Our boy dog was even humping her by the end of her last visit; sorry about that again... She went above and beyond by drying them off when it rained and picking up their poop every potty break. She took the time to learn each dog's playing style and where they like their scratches. We will be using her again!”

“Chris communicated very well and made sure to keep us in the loop when taking care of our dogs. Very nice and kind person as well, as he took the courtesy to clean up our apartment afterwards, and that’s very generous of him. I would recommend him to anyone I know”

“Bre is reliable, has strong communication skills, shows affection to my cat, Gypsy, and pays attention to detail. Gypsy has warmed up to her and rolls over on her back to be petted now. My fur baby was happy, healthy, and stress-free when I returned home. I highly encourage others to hire Bre.”

“Not only was Dylan willing to accommodate on short notice, but he was extra communicative and kind when we had an issue with our sink during our trip. He took great care of our cats and house!! We highly recommend Dylan if you are looking for someone who takes great care of your pets and for some peace of mind while you are away.”

“Brianne went way above and beyond with our kitties while we were away for the first overnight trip since we had gotten the kittens. She played, fed, cleaned up after them, and was always interacting with the kitties and sending pictures and video! I appreciated the continual contact, and knowing that our cats were being spoiled and well taken care of! We returned, and they were not frantically seeking attention, or worried or anxious. She took great care of them and helped keep them (and me!) at ease!”

“Mario is great! Our dogs are pretty aloof and one stuck by his side during his lunch time drop in. He communicated well, and we would use him again!”

“Dixie was great! She played frisbee with my obsessive yorkie each time she visited. She also sent me lots of pictures each time she visited. Will definitely book again!”

“Dora checked in on my indoor/outdoor cat while I was gone for 10 days. He had everything he needed while I was gone. Thanks for keeping an eye on Queequeg! He's still working on forgiving me.”

“Emma took great care of our cat Callie who needs special care for her Thyroid. Every aspect of her care was covered and scratches were included of course :) We will gladly have Emma take care of Callie or our dog Velvet anytime!”

“Every time I’m away I trust Megan to look after my pups. I have two senior dogs and it can be stressful leaving them but Megan makes it easy. It was a bit chaotic getting out of town and she was such a help. Thank you, Megan! :)”
“Josh was timely, friendly, and able to coax my shy rescue outside for potty breaks. He was willing to come by the evening before we left, on late notice, to meet and get acquainted with our dogs. Don’t hesitate to pick Josh if you need reliable service from Rover.”

“Courtney took such great care of my 3 month old kittens when I had to be away for a few days! She spent so much time playing with them, making sure they were good, and even trimmed their nails. Truly above and beyond: her care for animals is so deep, she loves each and every pet as her own (even if one of them doesn’t really like her LOL). With her vet tech experience I felt confident with her in my home in case she needed to intervene and perform any sort of emergency medical task or simply getting something out of their mouths. Will be booking Courtney again in the future when the need arises! Very easy to work with and flexible with scheduling.”

“Greg accepted our new booking request for drop-ins almost immediately after we came back from a week long vacation where he watched our 2 dogs. He is trustworthy, communicative and kind. I highly recommend him.”

“Tess is great with small dogs with big personalities. Tommy is always safe and well taken care off. I really enjoy the updates and pictures we receive during the day. Highly recommend Tess services if you also have small dogs.”

“Brianna was absolutely amazing ! She would check on smudge and he would be doing absolutely amazing! She would also keep me updated with a bunch of pics. If you’re looking for a sitter Brianna is the one for you! Thank you Brianna for all you do and have done ☺️”

“Rebecca is AMAZING! Highly recommended. Walter felt instantly welcomed and loved when they first met, we knew it would be a great match. When we came home from our ski day, he was so happy! We also came back to a hand wrote note from Rebecca - which is so unheard of! We were provided photos throughout the visits, and Rebecca kept us informed throughout her visit. Can’t want to continue to have Walter loved on by Rebecca!! 🐾🥰”

“Heidi was just plain fantastic. Her genuine care and constant updates just put all of my anxiety of leaving my dogs at rest. Heidi again thank you so very much for being a perfect human.”

Bre was fantastic, promt and on time every day, so knowledgeable about animals, thoughtful and thorough during the visits. There was a mild power outage while we were gone, and Bre made sure the AC and fans were all turned back on and running to keep our home cool and safe for our pets during the hottest part of the year.

Shari did an amazing job dropping in on our cats while we were away on vacation! One needed to be given eye drops and another needed oral medication, and she administered both with no problems. Kept us updated at all times with photos. We felt at ease leaving them in her hands.

Great communication while also going above and beyond what we asked her to do for our cats. We will miss her being close to us! Take advantage of her service and availability when you can! You won’t regret it. “So long, and thanks for all the fish” - mochi & Freya

Megan has been so great! Had pet sitters fall through but thankfully for her, we were still able to go on our trip and know our pets were taken care of. She is always on time and I love the pictures and updates she gives while we’re gone. Would completely recommend her and plan to rebook her in the future. Thank you, Megan for taking such great care of my fur babies.

Rose was great. Aksel is shy but he still took to her quickly. Rose communicated well, did what she promised and was easy to work with. Most importantly, I can always tell from Aksel's behavior when I come home if a sitter treated him well or not. And Rose did. I would book with her again.

Tamara did a great job watching my two cats, Scully and Tex. She made sure they were fed and had water, kept everything clean, and stayed on top of the litter box. It was a huge relief knowing they were taken care of, and I came home to happy cats and a clean place. I’d definitely recommend her and would book her again!

Margaret is always excellent as a car sitter! She is very patient yet encouraging with my anxious, former stray cats, always provides photo evidence of their wellbeing, and even addresses any issues with the home itself (such as an ajar fridge door or something that was knocked over)

We had a great experience with Kirsten watching our pets over the holidays. She took care of our cat, reptiles, and our bird, and we felt really comfortable knowing they were in good hands while we were away. Kirsten was easy to communicate with and kept us updated, which we really appreciated. When we got home, our cat was relaxed and our all the other pets were doing well and everything in the house was just as we left it.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Stratmoor. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
