“Shari did a great job taking care of my little Chihuahua. She sent lots of photos and messages. I always have anxiety when I leave my fur baby but Shari put me at ease!”

“Sarah does a great job with my 2 shepsky dogs! I appreciate the rover card with many pictures every visit. My dogs are happier when I come home from work. Thank you Sarah!”

“At the last minute I needed someone to come in and let my pup out and Kimberly came to the rescue! She was very attentive and kind to my girl. I will definitely be using her again for check ins!”

“Fantastic and went above and beyond for our pets. When we go on future trips we will definitely be reaching out again! Thank you so much for the attention and care you provided to our furry friends.”

“Katie gave AMAZING updates and pictures. She honored my dog's routine and gave me peace of mind knowing my sweet old girl was in good hands while we were gone. I will definitely rebook her in the future!”

“She is wonderful and I hope she will continue to visit with Olee. I’ve had Samantha several times now. and plan on continuing to pick Sam. She’s kind and loving to my kitty. It’s very obvious that she’s spent time with him. She even sent me a video! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“Andrea is a wonderfully kind, responsive, and responsible sitter. She’s great about sending pictures, videos, and updates. I will continue to book her for as long as she’s available!”
“Courtney took such great care of my 3 month old kittens when I had to be away for a few days! She spent so much time playing with them, making sure they were good, and even trimmed their nails. Truly above and beyond: her care for animals is so deep, she loves each and every pet as her own (even if one of them doesn’t really like her LOL). With her vet tech experience I felt confident with her in my home in case she needed to intervene and perform any sort of emergency medical task or simply getting something out of their mouths. Will be booking Courtney again in the future when the need arises! Very easy to work with and flexible with scheduling.”

“Rachelle is amazing! I cannot thank her enough. My two boys can be wild and she was so attentive and kind. Her problem solving when they act like gremlins was so helpful. Calmed my anxiety about leaving my boys ten folds!”

“Dixie was great with our 3 cats. I appreciate all of the updates, and photos. She played with our cats and took the time to make them feel comfortable while they got to know her for the first couple of days.”

“Truly went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable away from my cats. I knew they were being taken care of and I LOVED all the updates. Would highly recommend this sitter to anyone. Victoria would be my first pick if I ever need the service again 😊”

“Devin is amazing. It’s the second time she’s taken care of my cat. She sends detailed updates and pictures that make it easier to be away. She goes out of her way to learn what my cat likes and how she likes to play. You couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter!”

“Tae was amazing with our three dogs! They can be a bit rowdy and needy, but they absolutely loved her. She took the time to do a meet and greet beforehand, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Tae showed great attention to detail, especially with monitoring our diabetic dog’s glucose and giving his insulin. We felt completely confident leaving them in her care, highly recommend!”

“Bre is a professional, punctual Rover. She asked the right questions beforehand and sent lots of pictures of her drop-in visits. Luna is always ecstatic to see her! Thank you, Bre!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for over 10 years, starting while I was serving in the military and continuing today. I regularly cared for fellow service members’ dogs and cats during deployments, weekends, holidays, and other times they needed someone they could trust. Looking after pets has always been something I genuinely enjoy, and I understand how important it is to know they’re safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll treat your pets like they’re part of my own family. I work during the day, but mornings, evenings I can drop in to walk your pet or check on them. I’m available most holidays and weekend. I have a big, fenced in backyard and plenty of space in my house for your pet. I also have toys, puppy pads, and extra space for them since I do not have a roommate in my house. I actually own the house, and close to Peterson.
“So grateful for Tabbi, Adam and family as usual. They did a great job caring for my kitty. Always excellent communication and lots of love given and great pictures.”

“Samantha was absolutely amazing. Kept me updated checked in on my babies 3x for me. Sent pictures, you can tell how much they love her. Will 100% use her again and again”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Security-Widefield
Shari did an amazing job dropping in on our cats while we were away on vacation! One needed to be given eye drops and another needed oral medication, and she administered both with no problems. Kept us updated at all times with photos. We felt at ease leaving them in her hands.

Tamara did a great job watching my two cats, Scully and Tex. She made sure they were fed and had water, kept everything clean, and stayed on top of the litter box. It was a huge relief knowing they were taken care of, and I came home to happy cats and a clean place. I’d definitely recommend her and would book her again!

We had a great experience with Kirsten watching our pets over the holidays. She took care of our cat, reptiles, and our bird, and we felt really comfortable knowing they were in good hands while we were away. Kirsten was easy to communicate with and kept us updated, which we really appreciated. When we got home, our cat was relaxed and our all the other pets were doing well and everything in the house was just as we left it.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Security-Widefield. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
