“This is our second time using Nicole. She was awesome once again! The dogs are so well cared for and loved. We appreciate that she keeps us in the loop and shares photos multiple times a day. She is definitely our go to for keeping the girls!”

“Andrew was a great pet sitter! This was our first time using Rover after a couple of bad experiences with other venues. It was so wonder to enjoy our vacation knowing that our dogs were in great hands. Andrew sent photo updates and assured us that the dogs were doing great. Definitely would recommend Andrew and Rover to our friends.”

“Absolutely amazing! We came home to a clean house and very happy dogs. Perfect level of communication regarding activities and arrive/departure information.”

“Jamie did a great job dog sitting with our two older small dogs while we were away. They were well cared for and happy when we returned. She was very respectful of our house too. We would definitely schedule her again.”

“Alyissia did an amazing job. I will absolutely be using her services again in the future. She was super nice, patient with Bambi, reliable, responsive, and true to her word. I know Bambi was in good hands in Alyissias care. 10/10 would recommend and will be booking w hwr again!!”

“Bre was very communicative and provided excellent updates. My senior dog has a lot of health issues and she handled them well and made sure to ask any questions about things she was uncertain about. Separately from the dog care, the house was clean upon my return which is always nice after a long travel day. She was awesome! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking.”

“Talon was so great with my two pups and attentive to their needs. Actually asked questions and spent time with them during the meet and greet, and provided updates while I was away.”

“Cassandra was great. She took care of our dogs and house as if it were her own. She even had to get rid of a ground squirrel one of our dogs caught…above and beyond care for sure! Will definitely ask her to care for them again on our next trip.”

“Mario was great! The dogs loved him and were so calm when we got back. He took care of our home and was thoughtful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend him!”

“I can’t recommend Kenedeigh enough. She said YES with very short notice. Was a great communicator, didn’t balk at how far she had to come, got here early, and was so sweet and kind. My boys instantly loved her! They’ve never been boarded and never had anyone but family watch them, but it was so nice to know they were loved and safe so we could go on an excursion.”

“He did absolutely amazing with our pups and made sure they had plenty of entertainment, potty breaks, and medications. He was great with communication and I appreciated all the updates.”

“Dora did a fantastic job pup sitting our two dogs. She sent unsolicited photos and updates and because if her we were able to fully enjoy our vacation know that our pups were being well cared for!”

“Julia was amazing! Her communication was stellar and she sent me pictures of our dogs daily. I know our pups loved having her stay with them and they got great exercise. Julia also collected our mail, took out our trash and kept our house clean and tidy. We would recommend her and use her again for our next trip out of town.”

“Rikka was a wonderful house and pet sitter. This was her first time with us and she sent photos daily, updated us about our pets behavior and left our house completely clean. So grateful we found her and will definitely use again!”

“Asmund is fantastic! I just moved into town and finding a new dog sitter can be hard, especially when my dog tends to get anxious when I’m gone. I came home after a week with a clean house and a dog that looked like she had a blast while I was gone. Always great communication and definitely will have Asmund watch her again(:”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Security-Widefield
Brittany was absolutely incredible! She was great with our eight-year-old Australian Cattle Mix, Merlin. She made sure he was fed, exercised, entertained and loved. She treated our house as if it was her own and stripped our guest bed and started the dishwasher before she left. We fully plan on reaching out again if we need care for Merlin and fully recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care. Thank you, Brittany!

We found her last minute, and she truly exceeded every expectation. She was so gentle with my fur babies, kept me updated the whole time without me needing to ask, and made sure they were always comfortable and cared for. I absolutely recommend her and will be hiring her again.

cannot recommend Emily enough. She took amazing care of my dogs while I was away in the field, and having multiple dogs with different personalities and needs is not always easy. She was incredibly attentive, patient, and reliable throughout the entire time. She kept me updated, made sure the dogs were well cared for, and treated them like they were her own. It gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing they were safe, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention while I was gone. When I came home, my dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. As someone in the military who can be called away unexpectedly or for extended periods, dependable pet care means everything, and she absolutely exceeded expectations. I would trust her again without hesitation and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone compassionate, responsible, and genuinely caring with animals.
Julia was amazing! Her communication was stellar and she sent me pictures of our dogs daily. I know our pups loved having her stay with them and they got great exercise. Julia also collected our mail, took out our trash and kept our house clean and tidy. We would recommend her and use her again for our next trip out of town.

Over the past 3 years I’ve been using Rover, Cheyenne is by far the best sitter we’ve had. She came prepared with questions about our dogs and took notes on extra details outside of their normal routine to ensure our dogs were safe and comfortable. She also went out of her way to take care of minor house keeping while we were away. Beyond impressed with her attitude and work ethic. Would recommend for future house sitting.

Our first time using Cherontae and we were extremely pleased! She was wonderful with our Dobies and they absolutely loved her! We were continuously updated with photos beyond our expectations. We will most definitely be using her in our future travels! Thanks again and again Tae!!!

Liz did a fabulous job housesitting with our dog Maggie! She took her for many walks and took great care of her. Liz left the house immaculate and even folded some of our laundry! We will definitely be asking her to watch our dog again. What a relief it is to find a great dog sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Security-Widefield on Rover is $38.85 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 1,227 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Security-Widefield. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Security-Widefield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Security-Widefield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Security-Widefield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
