I am appreciative for Alexus for watching our dogs, however I also want to share that I am not super thrilled with the service we received. First, I paid for an overnight sitter, extra for that service at that. She reached out about leaving for a few hours the one of the nights, which I said was fine as long as the dogs were fed and went out, thinking she would be back at some point. But this endeavor ended up in my dogs being locked up for over 12 hours, leading to an accident in the kennel. While I appreciate her being open and honest about the situation, because she did contact us immediately the following morning when she returned, and putting her own money and time into solving the problem, it shouldn’t have been a problem to begin with. As well as the final night she decided to stay I’m assuming at her home, but again they were locked up for over 12 hours, and the only time she came back was to quickly feed them and let them out, then grabbed her things and took off never to be seen again, knowing we wouldn’t be in until that evening. Coming by to let them out or at least offering would have been appreciated. On top of all this, she offered to come by on your lunch break to let them out, which didn’t happen every day. While I understand things may have gotten busy at work, I wouldn’t offer that to future clients if she cannot 100% provide it. That offer alone was one of the reasons I chose her over other pet sitters.
