“Ericha was speedy to respond and keep good communication. We were able to do a meet and greet in good time and Ericha asked for additional information and showed good knowledge of caring for dogs. While with the dogs she kept in touch, sent photos and stayed with them. She was especially attentive to one of the pups who is very anxious around fireworks and made sure she stayed with her and she was comforted during the bangs. She also left the house cleaner than when I left! Would reccommend !”

“Nicole is the absolute best!! She is my go-to dog sitter. I can tell from the pictures she sends my Poms love when she baby sits. I get updates and I know my dogs are in the best care with Nicole.”

“Dana was great with Rusty. She checked in with us a couple of times a day and sent us pictures to let us know how things are going. We will definitely try to hire her again in the future when we are out of town.”

“Bre is THE BEST sitter we've ever had! She's super attentive, communicates often and most importantly my dog loves her. Highly recommend Bre as a pet sitter.”

About: I have been a dog Mom for 15 plus years for both small and large dogs. I have a fenced in yard for our resident senior large male dog. I am currently working P/T away from home with a reliable car for drop in visits, house sitting and dog walking. I am able to make time 24/7 to take care of your fur babies at your home or mine. I have a fenced in yard that has a small fence with a friendly senior dog. We have a semi walkable neighborhood for non-reactive dogs for walks while in boarding care. There are a lot of barking dogs in the neighborhood. Clean and clutter free house for ease of animal care. Lots of playtime.

“Cassandra was great. She took care of our dogs and house as if it were her own. She even had to get rid of a ground squirrel one of our dogs caught…above and beyond care for sure! Will definitely ask her to care for them again on our next trip.”

“Ashley was wonderful with our dog and house. Extremely cold weather moving through created some unexpected difficulties that she handled well. Will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Heidi was so fantastic! My dogs loved her. She communicated well, and took great care of my home in addition to my 2 dogs. I’ll use her again for sure!”
“Eliana was fantastic. She was at the house when she said she would be there, stayed overnight, and sent lots of pictures. She even emergency called me for something and I really appreciated that. I could see her come and go on my cams and was exactly what I hoped for. I highly recommend Eliana!”

“Meghan did a great job with our dog and cat, as well as watching our home while we were out of town. She took our dog for walks and did a good job staying in touch. We would definitely have her take care of our pets again.”

“Extremely grateful Anna was able to watch and care for Walter on such short notice. Quick responses and provided updates with photos. Followed his care/walk routine. Thank you Anna!”

“Ethon did a fantastic job watching Maple and Miklo at our house for a few hours. He was punctual, respectful, and clearly great with pets—both dogs were relaxed and happy when we got back. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We’d absolutely trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Jamie did a great job dog sitting with our two older small dogs while we were away. They were well cared for and happy when we returned. She was very respectful of our house too. We would definitely schedule her again.”

About: What makes me different from other sitters? I’m an animal lover through and through. My home includes a German Shepherd, a Mini Aussie, a Ragdoll cat, and even a snake, so I’m comfortable caring for everything from energetic dogs to sensitive cats and unique pets. I understand routines, enrichment, and the importance of keeping pets happy and safe while you’re away! Availability: 📚 Full-time student (9–5 weekdays) 🌙 Evening walks & drop-ins available during the week 🐾 Full weekend availability for sitting, longer visits, or extra playtime I believe pets do best when their routine stays consistent. I make sure they get regular meals, exercise, mental stimulation, and lots of affection. I prioritize safety, comfort, and making sure they feel relaxed while their owners are away

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog and house sitter. Kaedon took such thoughtful, attentive care of our boys. They were happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved while we were away, which gave us so much peace of mind. Communication was effortless from start to finish. He was responsive, reliable, and kept us updated. We also came home to an incredibly clean, well kept house, which honestly felt like such a luxury after traveling. It’s clear he treats your home with the same level of respect and care as he does your animals. We would absolutely trust Kaedon again with our home and our pets, and recommend him without hesitation.”

“Edyn was great and my Bulldog loved her and her Cowbell. She did a wonderful job and is coming back tomorrow for a week. We are so happy with her warmth and care for our Bulldog and home. Thank you so much Edyn!! :)”

“This is the second time Jennifer has house sit for us and our pup, Wilma. She is an absolutely fabulous sitter. She took great care of Wilma and communicated well with daily updates. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cimarron Hills
Britta has been checking in on my Luna two days a weeks for the last few months and they also just had their first multi-day sleepover together. Britta is amazing with Luna and they both love each other so much. Britta took excellent care of Luna and my house while I was away and I’m so grateful to have her in our lives. Thanks for everything Britta!

Haylie did a great job taking care of my pets while I was away. She sent regular photo updates, which gave me peace of mind, and my pets appeared to be well cared for. When I returned home, my house was clean and in great shape. I would definitely book Haylie again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter.
Cameryn was absolutely wonderful with our pup, Wyatt! She stayed in our home while we were away and took excellent care of her. She made sure Wyatt stayed on her normal routine, and it was clear from the updates and photos she sent that she was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Cameryn was communicative, reliable, and respectful of our home, which gave us great peace of mind while traveling. Knowing Wyatt was in such caring hands allowed us to fully enjoy our time away without worrying. We came home to a happy pup and a house that was just as we left it. We would gladly book with Cameryn again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter!

We greatly appreciated how well Lily took care of our Chex!! She communicated and sent pics regularly which put our minds at ease. And it’s clear Chex liked her and was comfortable as she clearly ate while we were gone (it’s not uncommon for us to come back with a skinny girl from refusing to eat). Also, Lily left our house clean which was greatly appreciated!! We will definitely book with Lily again!

Katie did a great job looking out for all of my animals. She was responsive in communication, and even proactively sent me a few pictures of the crew while I was traveling. As a veterinary technician, I had peace of mind knowing she was looking after them. I'd recommend her for pet sitting, and will definitely book her pet sitting services again.

We couldn't be happier with the care our pup received! She watched our dog for two nights, took her to the park, and completely tired her out. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog and a house left absolutely spotless. She truly went above and beyond, and we would highly recommend them to anyone!

Krystina did a wonderful job with Scout! Scout doesn’t warm up to many people, so I was impressed when she immediately took to Krystina during our meet-and-greet. Krystina took the time to walk her and made both Scout and me feel comfortable right away. I felt completely confident leaving Scout in her care, which says a lot. It’s clear that Kristina genuinely loves animals and knows how to connect with them. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Cimarron Hills on Rover is $38.85 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cimarron Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cimarron Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cimarron Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
