“Ericha was amazing with our animals! She went above and beyond to make sure all four of our pets and their very different personalities felt loved! She sent daily updates with pictures, took the dogs on daily walks, and spent extra quiet time with our shy cat to make sure she was comfortable with a new person in the house. We came home to a clean house and four very content animals who had obviously been treated with great love and care. We will definitely be requesting Ericha for our future travel plans!”

“Jamie did a great job dog sitting with our two older small dogs while we were away. They were well cared for and happy when we returned. She was very respectful of our house too. We would definitely schedule her again.”

“Nicole is the absolute best. She’s my #1 go to doggy sitter for my two Pomeranians. I know when Nicole is there she is taking care of them. I never have to worry. Nicole is prompt and does what she says, and says what she does! I am so grateful for her!!”

“Eliana was wonderful to work with! Great communicator, scheduled a time ahead of our trip to meet the dogs and go over their routine and ask questions. She then kept us in the loop while we were away through texts, photos and videos. For this anxious fur-mom, it was refreshing to working with someone who offered care to detail and clear communication. Would absolutely trust and love to work with Eliana in the future if travel plans mean dogs stay home, it'll be a peace of mind knowing their care is in good hands. Thanks Eliana for the weekend visit!”

“Alyissia did a wonderful job with our dog, and was a tremendous help in a sudden last minute crunch when we needed someone to sit with our dog. I am so grateful to have found her!”

“Rikka was a wonderful house and pet sitter. This was her first time with us and she sent photos daily, updated us about our pets behavior and left our house completely clean. So grateful we found her and will definitely use again!”

“Andrew was a great pet sitter! This was our first time using Rover after a couple of bad experiences with other venues. It was so wonder to enjoy our vacation knowing that our dogs were in great hands. Andrew sent photo updates and assured us that the dogs were doing great. Definitely would recommend Andrew and Rover to our friends.”

“Ashley was wonderful with our dog and house. Extremely cold weather moving through created some unexpected difficulties that she handled well. Will definitely use her again in the future!”

About: I've had dogs and cats usually both at the same time as my children were growing up. Since early 70's. I loved them and they seem to like me ok. The last dog I had was a Border Collie rescue that I adopted in Omaha 2017 she was found in Louisiana. Her and I moved to Colorado in 2020. She was very sweet and also loved other animals in the building where we lived including cats. Sadly, she passed 2024. We could communicate just with body language and looking into each other's eyes as I spoke to her. I still interact with all the dogs in the building when I see them. We would also go on hikes up at Palmer Park on the off-leash dog trail. Made a lot of friends with dogs there as well. I now live with my children and their 3 cats. They are very sweet also. Lots of cuddle time. Our pets just need love and attention and know that we care. So, I do tend to spoil them while abiding by the rules. I do have obligations a couple of times a week during the day. I'm usually gone about 2-3 hours when that happens. Evening meetings twice a month for couple of hours. I will do errands and help friends out from time to time. However, when I am scheduled to take care of a pet I work my schedule around them. Thursday mornings are the only day I cannot reschedule but I'm only gone for 2-3 hours average. Take the dogs for walks if client wishes / allows. Pay attention to cats and dogs so they don't feel alone. Stick to the routine the clients have set for them. Also change cats litter boxes when needed.
“Bre did a great job! She is very thorough in making sure she understood our dog’s unique needs, provided detailed updates twice a day and tons of photos. It was our first time leaving our dog for more than a day with someone else, but we felt very comfortable knowing we had someone responsible and trustworthy like Bre taking care of her.”

“Cortny did great! My dog ended up getting sick before I left town and Cortny still took care of her and gave her all of her medicine. Cortny kept me updated and she left my place better than I left it.”

“We have total confidence in Kaitlin! We have used her services several times and feel completely comfortable leaving Blue with her. She is very loving and professional !!”

“Amazing! Our dog, Georgia, was so well taken care of and our house was in perfect condition! Highly recommend Greg to anyone looking for a great sitter! He kept us updated with photos and also did some extra things like taking out the trash and bringing in mail and packages really great guy and a really great Dog Sitter!”

“Cassie was absolutely amazing. When we go on our next trip out of town I would 100% use her again. My dog has diabetes and needed injections twice a day and she didn’t miss a beat.”

“Fantastic dogsitter! Meghan watched our dogs again and always loves them so well (even with all their quirks!). She is easy to talk with and responds so quickly to everything. Can’t wait to have her watch our dogs for many future trips!”

“Heidi was amazing!! Our fur babies absolutely loved her and we did too! She kept us updated and sent pictures and also took great care of everything! We have definitely found our perfect sitter!! ❤️❤️❤️”

“Hailey stayed with our two dogs while we were out of town for the weekend. She was punctual, professional, and sent us updates and pics. She took great care of our pups! I would recommend Hailey to anyone needing dog sitting services!”

“Mario was absolutely great! First time taking care of our three girl rescue dogs and it went great. Very communicative and appreciated all the pictures!”

Sherry was able to accommodate an in home stay for our dog last minute. We did a meet and greet the day before and our dog was instantly at ease with her. My partner and I had to be gone for a week, and during that time, Sherry was giving us daily updates and even offered to care for our cat in the house. Of course our cat fell in love with her as well, and what started as a stressful and worrying time away from our dog (who was recently diagnosed with epilepsy) was handled by Sherry absolutely amazingly and eased any worries we had. Sherry kept us up to date with photos of our dog, our cat, and daily updates about how our dog was doing. She kept our house and her area beautifully organized and we could not have asked for a better person to have in our home caring for our pets. We would love to have her back if we are looking for a sitter in the future.

Here’s a short, genuine review you could post: Lily took wonderful care of Chex while we were away! She was reliable, communicative, and gave us peace of mind knowing he was in great hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!

Britta has been checking in on my Luna two days a weeks for the last few months and they also just had their first multi-day sleepover together. Britta is amazing with Luna and they both love each other so much. Britta took excellent care of Luna and my house while I was away and I’m so grateful to have her in our lives. Thanks for everything Britta!

Haylie did a great job taking care of my pets while I was away. She sent regular photo updates, which gave me peace of mind, and my pets appeared to be well cared for. When I returned home, my house was clean and in great shape. I would definitely book Haylie again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter.
Cameryn was absolutely wonderful with our pup, Wyatt! She stayed in our home while we were away and took excellent care of her. She made sure Wyatt stayed on her normal routine, and it was clear from the updates and photos she sent that she was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Cameryn was communicative, reliable, and respectful of our home, which gave us great peace of mind while traveling. Knowing Wyatt was in such caring hands allowed us to fully enjoy our time away without worrying. We came home to a happy pup and a house that was just as we left it. We would gladly book with Cameryn again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter!

Katie did a great job looking out for all of my animals. She was responsive in communication, and even proactively sent me a few pictures of the crew while I was traveling. As a veterinary technician, I had peace of mind knowing she was looking after them. I'd recommend her for pet sitting, and will definitely book her pet sitting services again.

We couldn't be happier with the care our pup received! She watched our dog for two nights, took her to the park, and completely tired her out. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog and a house left absolutely spotless. She truly went above and beyond, and we would highly recommend them to anyone!

Krystina did a wonderful job with Scout! Scout doesn’t warm up to many people, so I was impressed when she immediately took to Krystina during our meet-and-greet. Krystina took the time to walk her and made both Scout and me feel comfortable right away. I felt completely confident leaving Scout in her care, which says a lot. It’s clear that Kristina genuinely loves animals and knows how to connect with them. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cimarron Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cimarron Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cimarron Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
