“Amelia is the best. She came over to hang out with my dogs and feed them. Since it was crazy hot today, she made sure they played in their play pools and cooled down. I highly recommend Amelia for your pet sitting needs!”

“Alison went above and beyond in taking care of our large breed, high energy fur babies. We were nervous about leaving them for so long but, Alison made it a nonissue. Our babies were nonchalant when we returned - the telltale sign. Thank you Alison!!”

“Tara did a wonderful job watching our pups! We were able to enjoy our time away because she kept us updated and at ease through the whole process. We will definitely be booking Tara again if she’s available!”

About: A little about me: I recently moved to CO and bring 10 years of animal care experience, including 7 years as a Veterinary Technician. I’m trained in veterinary medicine, animal behavior, and I’m certified in pet CPR. I’ve been pet sitting for 10 years and always do a meet and greet to make sure your pet feels comfortable. I have three dogs of my own — one is a hospice case, so I’m very confident with seniors and pets with medical needs. (My dogs stay home when I’m pet sitting.) Availability: I currently work four 10-hour shifts per week, with weekends and one rotating weekday off. On workdays, I’m away from approximately 8 AM–6 PM, but I’m still happy to provide overnight care and will be with your pet throughout the evening and overnight, as well as in the morning before work. I’ll return immediately after my shift to continue their care. I’m happy to stay in your home or have your pet stay with me—whatever is most comfortable and works best for their normal routine! I always keep my clients updated on how their pets are doing and make sure they get plenty of attention and care. I make sure to send at least two updates with photos daily!
About: Growing up I would watch neighbors dogs and other pets while they were on vacation. I would also walk their dogs while they were away at work. This added to my love for working with animals. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wigwam. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
